Chapter 1:Haunted

I was sleeping when suddenly a loud thud waked me up, i sat up on my bed and listened for a while, when i thought it was nothing and was about to lay back on my bed, i heard a scream,it was mom!

i ran out of my room and hurriedly went to my parents room, as soon as i opened the door, it felt like i lost my soul for what i just saw...

Dad was laying on the bed, blood dripping out of his mouth-lifeless...

"Jaine.. r-run.."mom said while trying her best to get up, i tried to help mom but she pushed me,"No! run jaine!he's still here"mom said, i closed my eye's as i turned my back and left them inside the room, as i opened the front door, a man in a black hood while holding blooded knife surprised me, i trembled in fear as he take a step towards me,"Go away! stay away from me!"hic*hic* i cried out loud, he was about to attack me when suddenly mom pushed him and held hin down,"mom.."i whispered,"now jaine!run!"mom shouted,"i'll be back for help i promise"hic*hic* i ran away as fast as i can, like a prey wanting to escape from the predator on the loose, i entered the forest, the forest was too deep, too deep that not even the light of the moon could enter to guide me the way out from this nightmare, leaving me no choice but to keep running to an unknown path, i took a stop to catch my breath, when i heard branches of tree's crackling, i covered my mouth and hid behind the tree, it was so dark, i couldn't see anything, the crackling sound disappeared, i tried to look around only to see nothing was there, i started walking, i looked everywhere, change my direction, but it feels like a path that has no end-I'm lost..

i stopped in the middle of the forest, looking around, hoping to find a way out of this place, i heard the crackling sound again, i ran as fast as i can, without noticing it, i bumped into something, i tripped and fell, when i lifted up my head, my eye's widened in shock, my body trembled in fear, there's no way i can run from the predator standing infront of me, i screamed as i took my final breath before i face death.

I waked up in shock, Paleness covered my face as sweat rolls down my neck, "It's just a dream" i said to my self as i put hand palms on my face, "Having bad dreams?" i looked at where the voice was coming from, it was Untie Carla, "i guess.."i said, i stood up and went to the bathroom,"Once your done, come downstairs, breakfast is ready"Untie Carla said as she leaves the room,"Okay!"i replied, i splashed my face with water, i stared at the mirror for a while..

"Stop thinking about it!"i said to my self as i slap my cheeks, i headed down stairs after i finished changing clothes, i went straight to the dining table as Untie Carla gave me a cup of coffee,"you keep having those bad dreams about unknown people ever since we moved here 2 days ago, don't you think it's trying to tell you something? "she said as she sat on the chair facing me,"i don't know and i don't want to think about it, it gives me chills"i said while crossing both my hands as sign of disapproval, Untie Carla rolled her eye's, as she take a sip of her coffee,"By the way, yesterday while i was cleaning the yard, one of our neighbors greeted me, and of course we had a chat for a while, guess what i found out?"she looked at me waiting for my response,"what?" i asked, "They said that before we moved in here there was a family who once died here, a married couple and a little girl, their known as the Crimson Family" Untie Carla said, i looked at her, "a couple and i little girl?"i asked as i remember my dream earlier, "yes, creepy right?, don't you think it's somehow connected to your dream?"she asked,"dunno, i just hope this house is not haunted at all"i said as i take a sip of my coffee,"i agree"she replied, i took a bite on my sandwich that Untie Carla made,"mmm~this is sooo tasty"i said, she just laughed at me seeing how i enjoy my breakfast.

after breakfast i decided to go out for a while, "finally, it's sunday, no school papers, no school day" i said as i stretch my arms, enjoying the feeling of the wind passing through my skin, watching the sun rise up as the birds flew around above the sky, "new here?", i turned around to the person who just spoked, he's a tall guy, i guess his about a 1 year older than me, he has nice body, curled black hair, oceanic blue eye's, pinkish fine shaped lips-i blushed,"h-his kind of my type..."i murmured,"pardon me?"he said,"i-it's nothing, uhmm... yes, we just moved in 2 days ago" i replied, "uhm.. your name?" i asked, "Oops! sorry *chuckles* my name Jaiden Chris Mclain, yours?"he asked,"my name's Cronixia, Cronixia Leine Vellmoore"i gaved him a smile,"Nice to meet you Ms. Cronixia Leine Vellmoore"he said and bowed down, he lifted his head and looked at me,"your name sounds expensive, do you mind if i sell it?"he chuckled, i laughed,"like as if it's for sale" i replied, "do you mind if i walk with you? i'm sure you'll need a charming tour guide"he said while winking at me,"i'm afraid the girls might chase you, cause you know.."i giggled, he laughed, i gaved him a nod and walked with him.

as we walk down the sidewalk, i noticed a run down house, i was looking at the window when suddenly i saw a shadow figure pass by inside it,"say jaiden, that run down house over there, is there still someone living in there?"i asked while pointing at the house on the other side of the street,"no, it was abandoned long time ago after the incident at the crimson family"he replied, "crimson family? my untie told me about that, well the neighbors told her"i said,"rumor's say that, the person who used to live in that house before we're suspected as a serial killer, ever since then after the incident at crimson family, the guy that lived in that house just disappeared without a trace"he said,"why do you asked all of a sudden?"he asked,"nothing, i thought i saw someone just passed by the window while i was staring at it"i replied, his expression turned serious, he looked at the window i pointed,"why don't we go somewhere else? that house always give a creepy vibes "he said, i nodded, we went around the city, he showed some amazing places and told me stories about some fun tourist attractions here, as we were chatting i received a text from untie carla,

i giggled, "jaiden i need to head back now, my untie had already prepared dinner so.."i said,"okay, then i'll walk you back"he offered,"why don't you join us?"i asked,"no it's fine, I'm not hungry anyway"he said, *stomach growling*, i chuckled,"you should definitely join us"i said, he scratched his head in embarrassment,"fine, you got me" he chuckled.

at my house...

knock*knock*knock*"coming!"untie carla said as she opened the door, "im back"i smiled,"i thought you would be late, i was already planning to eat your chocolates on the fridge"untie carla joked at me,"thats mine!, go buy your own jeez"i replied, untie carla noticed jaiden,"who is this?"untie carla asked,"untie carla this us jaiden, jaiden this is untie carla"i said,"good evening ms. carla, my name'si Jaiden Chris Mclain, One of your neighbors in this street"jaiden said as he blessed unto untie carla's hand, "nice to meet you jaiden, come, join us"untie carla offered,"it would be my pleasure ms. carla"jaiden replied,"just call me untie Carla son"she said and went to the dinning area, we looked at each other and chuckled, we followed untie carla at the dining area, we set up the plates, as we started eating our dinner, it was actually noisy considering how talkative jaiden is, his tour and stories about some particular places piqued my interest, makes me want to visit them one by one, but maybe i will, once school years over that is, i washed the plates as jaiden cleans the dining table while untie carla packed up some leftovers for jaiden to share to his family.

after cleaning, jaiden already left, i went to my bedroom, i threw my elf on the bed and stared on the moon peeking on my window as i closed my eyes, when i suddenly heard a little girl's voice, i sat up and looked around my room for a while, i heard the voice again, it was coming from outside, i walked closer towards my window and peek, i saw a girl sitting behind the tree in the forest, fair white toned skin, black long hair, cute white dress and she's reading a book

"what is a little girl doing in the forest in the middle of the night?"i thought to my self, i took my jacket and told untie carla that i'll check out something first, as i reach the tree from where i saw the girl was sitting at, she was no longer there, but she left her book

i picked up the book and looked around,"little girl!you forgot your book!"i shouted hoping that she'll show up, but disappointingly she didn't,"nixia!get back inside now, its cold out there and its getting late"untie carla said, i went back inside,"what's that? since when did you start reading books? i thought you hate books?"she asked, "this?"i lifted up the book,"i saw this from the forest"i said,"maybe someone accidentally left it?"she asked, "maybe.. i guess"i replied,"go get rest, it's a tiring day, considering you met such a charming boy~"untie carla teased me,"stop it, we're just friends, nothing more than that"i said and walked away,"don't keep thinking about him, you might see him in your dream if you do so~"she giggled, i rolled my eyes and ignored her, i went to my room and placed the book at the side table,i tooked a shower and changed into my pajama's, i laid down in my bed and closed my eye's to sleep...tick*tock*tick*tock*tick*tock*

"i can't sleep!" i thought to myself, i sat down and looked at the book at the side table, i took the book, "i won't get cursed if i read this right?"i said, as i flipped the page i saw a picture of a couple and a little girl behind them is a fancy car, there was a note

[note:"Along the light, There's a shadow behind"]i got curious so i looked closely at the picture and there i noticed a guy inside the car in black mask,"what the hell? this giving me chills"i said, i flipped it to the next page, there's another picture, it was a house close to the forest,"doesn't it look like the same as this house?"i thought, there was another note or rather riddle, [note:"a shelter of light, surrounded by shadows"] i looked closely at the picture again, i saw a man standing at the window on the room from the second floor of this house, there was also a little girl peeking behind the tree's in the forest,"what is this book all about?it's full of picture with riddles"i said as i flipped all the pages, i closed the book,"i should stop here for now, it's giving me goosbumps"i said as i store the book on my drawer, i laid down, thinking about the book, while slowly closing my eyes, unconsciously falling asleep...
