"Princess please, try to understand okay. Listen to me, I love you alright and I really don't wish to see you in this state. It hurts me a lot when you are sad. Please."

" I know dad but you also know how much I love him. I am trying hard but I just lost someone so important to me. Who did this dad, tell me. With this I cut the phone and make my way to the bed.

Jennifer's room

Jennifer's POV

Noah, are you listening to me? Don't you love me, if you do then please come back to me. You know that I can't bear to be away from you.

I know someone is trying to harm me, this means that you were killed because of me.

Trust me, if I knew, I would have taken the bullet for you.

Don't worry, I will surely take revenge. Whoever killed you, I will make sure that he goes to hell.

You know I am a strong girl, that's why you fell in love with me.

I will take revenge!!

I tried hard to not cry anymore but every moment with him kept on replaying in my mind.

He was shot right in front of my eyes.

Who knew that the day, my wedding day, which is supposed to be the best day in any girl's life, will turn out to be a nightmare for me.

I tried to sleep, but I couldn't.

It was already 3 a.m. but I was still lying on my bed, not able to sleep. My eyes felt dry and swollen. I was sure they were red from all the crying. My throat was hurting for I shouted a lot.

It was the first time for me to shout in this way on dad.

I was feeling very guilty, he did not do anything wrong but I was shouting on him. He loves me so much, he listened to my every complaint. He did not deserve to be treated like this.

It was morning already. I felt the warmth of sunlight on my face.

I couldn't sleep properly for even an hour. I was tired but as soon as closed my eyes I could see the scene where he was shot.

I got up from my bed and went to the bathroom.

I looked at myself in the mirror, huh, I knew I would look like this. Dad won't like seeing me this way.

I took a quick shower as I was very tired and did not want to do anything. Got dressed up in a summer frock that reached my mid thigh and paired it up with white sneakers. I was about to do some makeup because I couldn't let dad see me like this, when I heard the door open.

I saw a tall and handsome man. He looked happy but as soon as he saw me, his expression changed.

What? Do I look like a monster?

He was hella handsome.

Tall about 6, muscular body and sharp jawline.

I just kept staring at him. It was as if I was smitten by him.

He was wearing a tight, white shirt which highlighted his muscles and beige colored pants.

It was the first time we had met, but I felt a sense of familiarity.

He was sad?

No, why would he be sad?

But I could see it in his eyes, sadness....and even a hint of disappointment.

We kept on looking at each other, no one said anything.

I decided to break the silence by asking him, "Who are you?"

" I.." He paused for a moment before completing his sentence. " I am Zac Davis, your dad must have told you about me."

" Oh ya, he did. I am Jennifer Aniston, I am guessing that you already know my name. " I said.

" I know a lot about you." I looked at him in confusion.

" Ah..it's because your dad talked a lot about you so.."

He said and I nodded.

" You can take your time to get ready, I am waiting for you downstairs."

" Okay, I'll be there in a minute. "

He nods and leaves closing the door.

After trying hard to make my eyes look better, I gave up. Though I was able to hide the dark circles, they were still a bit red and swollen. I quickly pulled my hair into a ponytail and looked at the mirror. Okay, now let's go.

I went downstairs where I saw my dad and Zac talking. I greeted my dad and he hugged me.

" Morning, Princess. "

" Morning dad."

" Are you ready, you must have met each other just now. He is Zac Davis, the leader of a very famous gang- The Black Scorpion. So you are going with him to stay at his house and don't worry, your Aunt Lisa is also going with you. You may need her a lot."

" Really!?! Thank you dad but will you be fine here?"

" Of course I will be. I am not a kid. Now stop this and go already, let this old man get some rest."

" You are not any old man, and you are still a kid inside." I hugged him tightly and said, "Bye dad, I will call you, okay?"

" You have to and tell me if he bullies you !!" He said looking towards Zac.

Zac looked at him raising his eyebrows in amusement and then at me.

" Let's go?" asked Zac and shook hands with dad.

" Bye dad" I said and walked out with Zac.

Zac opened the car door for me, though there was a driver. He was a gentleman. I sat inside and glanced at him again.

He doesn't look like a gang leader to me at all. Aren't they supposed to be cold and rude. He is so kind and gentle. I was thinking that he would have a lot of tattoos, studs and piercings but he is so handsome and charming. He also looks so cute.

I didn't realize that I was staring at him until he asked, " What happened, is there anything on my face?"

" Uh..no, it's just that I was thinking that you are very handsome and cute."

Oh no.....Jennifer!!!! What is wrong with you?

Ahhh!! How can you say your thoughts out loud, you are so dead. You just called a gang leader Cute!?!

I turned my head away in embarrassment and looked out of the window without saying another word.
