Episode 1

Belle's POV

"Hey Zach, how about ice cream? Let's go and have some ice cream, and you can also play in the playground on our way back" I asked Zach, this was my fourth try in the last 45 minutes to make him talk to me.  

"Look at him, now he is not even looking at me, this little man is a tough guy,  " I thought and released a sigh.

Suddenly my phone rang, after reading the name 'AGNES' my heart filled with happiness as I picked up the call.

"Hey, Agnes! Thank God!" My happiness was over the top.

"Hey! Hey! Hey! What happened? Is every alright?" she was worried. Meanwhile, I came out in the garden

"No! Nothing's alright here, Zach is not talking to me for the last 45 minutes!" I replied.

"What?... But why?" she asked.

"Well it's totally my fault, I accidentally told him the truth that you and Eric went on a date while he was sleeping, and now it has been 45 minutes and he is still not talking to me" I explained to her the whole story.

"What?..." she was shocked, "..Belle! You gave me a heart attack over here!...That was it?", she asked.

" What do you mean by 'that was it'? He is not talking to me for THE LAST 45 MINUTES, you think it's not a big deal? Huh?" I asked.

"Fine! Let me talk to him" she replied.

I went to his room and said as I gave him my phone "Mommy wants to talk to you Zach", he took the phone and I went out of his room as he needed some space with his mom.

Zach is the cutest 4-year old I have ever seen but the fact that I made him feel sad makes me feel like a devil. I was sitting on the sofa, waiting for him. He has this habit, if you make him upset, he would not talk to you till he tells his mommy the whole story about how you made him so upset. I knew that it would take him around 20 minutes to tell his mommy the whole story of me making him upset, so I was just sitting.

Finally, after 25 minutes, Zach came out, he returned my phone and said: "I want an Oreo ice cream" with the cutest facial expression "Sure, my little marshmallow" I said pinching his chubby cheeks and we went out.

I was so happy that he was talking to me again and that we had our dinner out. On our way back, Zach wanted to play so he went to the playground. He was playing as if he was never upset. I found this funny and I was curious to know what actually Agnes had told him that he forgot everything. After some time we went home.

I was helping him to take a bath when he said "I'm sorry, Belle, for not talking to you" his voice carried guilt.

"It's okay my little bunny, I really happy now that you are talking to me", I said patting his little head.

He was smiling, we played with bubbles, Zach was enjoying his bath. After playing for some time, I wrapped him in a towel and bought him to his room, and helped him dress up. Maybe, he was too tired, because as soon as I lied him down on his bed, he fell asleep, I kissed his forehead and went out of his room.

I went to the kitchen to drink some water. While drinking the water, I heard the doorbell ring, and went to open the door and found the love birds, Eric and Agnes.

" Where is he?" Eric asked entering the house. " He is sleeping in his room, maybe he was tired from all playing " I replied and asked, "By the way how was your date?"

"All thanks to you Belle, you were taking care of Zach so we were not worried about him, because to you we could spend some time together after a long time," Agnes said hugging me.

We did a little chit-chat while sitting in the living room. Then I came to know that Agnes had promised Zach that she will take him to his favorite restaurant leaving his father, Eric at home without the internet. After some time, I said "Guys I think I should leave now"

"What? No! You are sleeping over" Eric said.

" No, Eric, I think I should leave, I'll sleep over some other day," I said.

" Is something wrong, dear?" Agnes asked.

"No Agnes, I'm perfectly fine, I just wanted to take a walk," I said smiling.

"Fine then," said Agnes disappointed. I hugged them and left their house.

On my way back, I bought some sleeping pills for myself. It was a long walk home but it felt nice. The cold wind relaxed my mind and body. I was happy recalling all the memories of today.

I reached home, unlocked the door, and went inside. 

"What a long and wonderful day it was, " I thought entering the bedroom. I was happy and smiling as I sat at my study table to write about my day in my diary, it is a habit that I have got from my mother.

Suddenly my phone started ringing and my smile faded away. I picked up the call.

" It's been a while since you have called, I thought you forgot me, that's why I called," said the old man's voice from the other side.

I sighed.

" What is it, Mr. Robert?" I asked coldly.

"Come on dear, don't use your father's tone while talking to me" he was irritated now.

"Then, tell me what is it ?" I asked again.

" I called because I missed you. And..."

"And?" I asked.

"...and I have heard that you haven't shifted to some other in a while, so can I--"

I cut him off and said, "No! Don't even think about it!"

"Fine! Sweetheart, but at least tell me where you live? I promise I will not come over", he said.

" It's far from where you live, nobody knows my real identity here, which helps me live peacefully" I replied.

" Why are you doing this to yourself?" he asked with the pain in his voice.

I sighed and said, "You know it very well, Mr. Robert, and please don't call me again."

I was about to end the call when he said "It's not your fault"

"I know" I replied.

"I miss you, child," he said emotionally.

"Time to say goodbye Mr.Robert," I said coldly and end the call.

I sighed. My mood was ruined. I wanted to sleep but I couldn't, even after having the sleeping pills. I walked towards the window and started looking outside. Everything was peaceful outside.

"Look, I am living in this neighborhood for the last 4 years but nobody knows my true self. For them, I am Belle Ray, a 24-year-old girl, who is currently unemployed and babysits her best friends Eric and Agnes Scotts' 4-year son, Zach. They can't even imagine who this Belle Ray really is. Is she a simple unemployed girl or something else? " I mused and went to bed for another sleepless night.
