Chapter 4 : Let Me Take Care Of You

Jungkook was still in his studio working, needed something to divert his mind from what happened earlier. So, he thought he'll just focus on work. It's already midnight, too tired but still doesn't want to go home. Thinking about what Taehyung said 'More than just a crush, I kinda like him, more than anything and anyone in this world' cupped his face with his hands, fade tone of Taehyung's voice was playing like a loop in his head. Got out of the studio to grab some coffee, thought that might help him even though he know it won't. He hopes for it. Coffee machine was on the other end of the hallway.

Reached the coffee machine and waiting for his coffee, suddenly he felt someone's watching him from afar. Turned around but no one in sight. The coffee machine dinged which caught Jungkook's attention again. After collecting his coffee he went back to his studio. Again, he felt like someone's watching, turned around, still no one. He thought he's just seeing things and went back.

Placing the coffee on the table, Jungkook noticed a notebook, stacked under some other notes and papers. He carefully took it out, it's a music sheet. It was named as ' Still with you ' . He looked that for a few seconds before placing it back on the table.

Rubs his face as if trying to get something out of his mind, looking at the notebook again,

~ Flashback

" Hyung, I want to be famous like you too." 15 years old Jungkook told Taehyung. Young Jungkook admired Taehyung a lot, always thinking about how cool, tall and strong his hyung is. Admiring with the biggest eyes of his.

Taehyung awed by his cuteness "I bet you'll be more famous than me once you got debuted."

"No, Jungkook can never beat Taehyung hyungie. Hyung is so cool." made his bunny smile with a little shyness.

"Aww!! I'm sure your gonna grow to be the most handsome man."

"Hyung, when I grew up let me take care of you."

"My little kookie want to take care of me?"

"Yes, I'll grow strong and take care of hyungie" Jungkook raised his arm and chest with a little cute nod to show off his strength. Taehyung laughed hard seeing Jungkook's cuteness.

"Alright, it's a promise then."

Jungkook made a cute sharp nod with his pinky raised. Taehyung raised his pinky and connected both pinkies. Firmly connected and smiled at eachother lovingly.

~ Flashback ends

"You promised me you'll let me take care of you, hyung." Jungkook let out a sad smile looking at the notebook.

He then, put on his headphones and started recording. Music playing on the background, Jungkook started singing,

And I'm well aware I write too many songs about you

And the coffee's out

At the Beachwood Cafe

And it kills me 'cause I know we've run out of things we can say

( tears started rolling down his cheeks )

( His cheeks stained with his tears, closed his eyes, tears dropping down from the corner of his eyes )

And I get the feeling that you'll never need me again

The music stops but, he stayed like that for a few minutes. Eyes closed, tears falling down nonstop. Removed his headphones and cupped his face with his hands. Trying to wipe down the tears but, it just never stops. His own tears betrayed him. He stayed the whole night crying in his office. In the silence of the night, Jungkook's crying was heard loud, echoed throughout the empty building. The walls and the darkness was the only thing that witnessed him, and only the coldness kept him company.

It's almost 2 Jungkook finally left the office, his dorm was not so far away so he decided to take a walk. Still, thinking about Taehyung. How does his crush looks like, what type of person he is? Of course, Taehyung did describe him a little. So far he seemed nice but still on some part tells him to fight him. Never give up. Especially for Taehyung. But on other part he just wants Taehyung to be happy. He'll be so happy if Taehyung got together with his crush. Because he knows how much it hurts to like someone one-sided. Happy is not an exact words but he just want Taehyung to be happy and get everything in this world.

Multiple thoughts were on his mind, again he felt the same feeling he felt inside the company. Someone's following? Turned around to look but no one's there, looked around a little bit before returning back to his dorm.

~ One week later

It was a week since Jungkook saw Taehyung. He's been so busy with his comeback practice or he could have just made himself busy just to avoid Taehyung. He's not yet ready to see him. He's sure he'll cry if he sees him. As much as he wanted to shout to him that he likes him, want to spend his life together with him, want to protect him. He's afraid what if Taehyung rejects him and things wouldn't be the same after that. Even though he can't actually have him, he atleast want to be with him. Like old friends he thought.

Jungkook's breathless with all the dancing, he went to the corner where the water bottles are placed on the table.

"Jungkook-ah" a familiar deep strong cheerful voice hit his ears. The person he's been trying to avoid this whole week is now standing right in front of him.

"Hyung" he would usually be so happy to see Taehyung but now he's scared for some reason. Sacred that he might leave him someday or scared that he might confess his feelings for Taehyung.

"Are you ready for your comeback?"

"Yea...I am."

"You working yourself too hard you need some rest."

"It's ok hyung I'm not that tired..." tried to avoid eye-contact as much as possible.

"Maybe you should join me with the karoke later."

"With you?" Jungkook's eyes widened

"Yeah, me and my friends are going out later. You should join too."

"No, hyung it's ok you're going out with your friends I don't wanna disturb you."

"No, it's ok I don't mind you tag along. Besides, you know them too. So, what's the big deal? Come on let's go,please..." Teahyung pleaded with his cute puppy eyes, how can Jungkook ignore that,

" Alright, is it really ok of me tagging along."

Teahyung nodded his head real hard, the site made Jungkook's chest a bit light.

"Then I'll meet you after practice."

Jungkook slowly nodded his head with a forced smile on his face.

Tae was unlike Jungkook he have a large friends circle. He's the most socialist. But Jungkook is too shy to talk to anyone new. They were totally different from eachother in many ways. Jungkook thinks, maybe that's the reason Taehyung never noticed him. Because he's not his type.

He's still having second thoughts about going to karoke while on his way to meet Taehyung. Taehyung's studio is on the same floor as his. Both studios are on both ends. Finally reached Taehyung's, gathered his courage to knock on the doors but before he did, the door sprung open. It was Taehyung on his casuals probably getting out to find Jungkook.

"Hey gukkie, I was about to come find you." his face instantly lighted.

"My practice got finished earlier." That was a lie he basically kneeled to his choreographer hyung to let him go early. Jungkook's face blushed bright red when Taehyung wrapped his arm over his shoulder and pulled him close.

"Ok then, shall we?"

Jungkook nodded slowly.

"Oh-ho!! Yea!! Let's go. Your driving, My car is on service."

They both made their way to the car. Jungkook drove them both to Taehyung's favourite place to hang out. He used to take Jungkook with him a lot, everytime he visits his friend. It was not so classy but it's a perfect place for teenagers. Except they are not teenagers anymore (only by their age not by their looks), they pick this place anyways. It has great vibes to spend time with your friends. Private karoke rooms, big screens, drinks and food what else needed.

Both entered their corresponding karoke room. It was chaotic and loud. A big cheerful tone welcomed them.

"Hey! guys! you're finally here"

"Hey! Tae come here it's your favourite song" They both pulled Taehyung to sing with them. Jungkook went back to sit on the sofa. He got himself a drink. He can't drink yet, he's underage. So, he just went with the soft drinks.

/* Legal age to drink in Korea is 21, So Jungkook is still under aged he's just 20*/

Carefully absorbing Taehyung who's currently singing and dancing with his two besties. Big smile on his face. Jungkook thought that he never saw him smile like this when he was with him. That he can never make him smile like that.

As if Taehyung sensed Jungkook's staring at him. He turned back to look at Jungkook, singled him to join but Jungkook mouthed a 'no' with his hands waving.

The chaotic trio went on like that for next few hours. Atleast, it seemed like an hour for Jungkook.

"Hey kookie why didn't you join me?"

"I'm tired, all I want now is this drink. Also, it's good to see you have fun." he forget about everything that happened and started being playfully with him again.

"Haha, yea...see me have fun." Teahyung playfully roles his eyes.

"Hey kook, great to see you join us."

"Yea...,so how's your comeback?

"Great, few more days we're all set."

"I know your not nervous, he's actually a great dancer, visits my studio every week. We dance for hours, even I get tired but this one here still goes on."

"You visit Hobi's studio? How come I not know this?"

Taehyung looked confused between Hobi and Jungkook.

"I needed some practice and I know Hobi hyung's the best." Jungkook said that more like in a convincing way.

"My own friend betrayed me you never mentioned this before."

"I need to protect my artist's info..."

"From your own friend?"

Hobi started scratching his head in nervous "It must have slipped my mind."

Jungkook trying to hold his laugh, seeing the struggle Hobi's going through. Jimin on the other hand enjoying the drama that's going on. Taehyung rolled his eyes with a drink in his mouth, letting it slide off.

Jimin is Taehyung's schoolmate they auditioned together and got in the company as trainees. Since then, they live together, even share a same dorm.

Jimin is also an solo artist in the company.

Hobi owns a dance studio, he is one of the most famous dancer, once a rapper but then he quitted and opened his own studio. He choreo for the top companies and artists. Hobi got introduced by Jimin. They went to same dance school. After that they three became great friends. Taehyung takes Jungkook along with him everytime he visits them. Since he was new, he wanted to make him comfortable around people.

Well it did work Jungkook doesn't have much friends as I said he doesn't initiate but Hobi and Jimin are free spirits. Easy to talk to. He became comfortable around them in no time.

"Kook, how about we collaborate after your comeback, let's cover any song together."

"What song?"

"I happened to came across this song 'We don't talk anymore' it's a great song, the company asked me if I could cover it and I thought it would be great if we sing together. What do you say?"

"Not bad, let's give it a try."

"Great! then let's work on it after your comeback."

"Alright."

"Awesome" Jimin jumped in excitement, clapped his hands, big smile on his face.

Jungkook gave him a sweet smile, awed by his cuteness. They both started talking and planning for their collaboration. Both were so excited, they didn't noticed anyone around, in their own world laughing and making fun of eachother. Jimin is the second person he is comfortable to share his thoughts after Taehyung.

"Tae you drink too much today." Hobi asked Taehyung in confusion, worried look on his face. Taehyung was a balanced drinker he rarely gets drunk, only if he's too upset or sad.

Don't know what upset him today? It made him drunk real hard. Drink after drink, he's gone wild.
