Episode 4 | The Keys

"well... It's been a while huh?, Vincent and Emilia" Michael said while slowly walking over to them, "...why did you run?" Vincent asked while stepping back, "what? You're stepping back? Are you scared of me? " Michael taunts him while making a smug face.

"...it's not that I'm scared of you, it's because i know, if i am too close, you'll kill me without a second thought" Vincent said while stepping back further, "oh come on, you know i won't kill you right? Even though i ran away, it doesn't mean I've become your enemy".

"h-how can you prove that?" Emilia asked with a trembling voice, "well... For example" Michael suddenly appears behind them, "you're still not dead by now", "wha?!" in shock Vincent and Emilia jumped up into the trees, "is that good enough proof for ya?".

"...i guess, then what are you doing here?" Vincent said while jumping down followed by Emilia, "I'm just trying to find some place to stay, and i somehow stumbled upon this forest", "...then do you know that elf?" Vincent points his dagger at the elf.

"hwa?!, n-n-no i don't know anyone that involves themselves with the outlaw wolves!" the elf said while hiding behind the tree, "well she's right, i don't know her, but i would love to get to know her better" Michael said in a seductive and sensual way, "wha?" by hearing what he said the elf started to blush.

"w-w-what do you mean by that?!" the elf said while hugging herself in embarrassment, "hehe, you'll know soon" Michael said again using a sensual tone, "ugh... ", "anyways, why are you two chasing her?" Michael asked Vincent and Emilia.

"it was the orders from the higher ups, they told us to capture the elf princess", "the elf what now?" by hearing that Michael started questioning his rude behavior just now, "...heh" Michael scoffs at the fact that she is the princess, wich triggered the princess, "that's it? That's your reaction after knowing I'm a princess?!".

The elf screams at Michael in anger, forgetting what situation she is in, "well, you do have the looks to be a princess , but your attitude says otherwise" hearing that the princess clears her throat and looks away, "also have you forgotten that you are being chased by these two?", "erk!".

The elf jumps back and pulls out a knife, "don't you dare get close!" the elf points the dagger at the wolves, trying to defend herself, body shaking, the elf suddenly ran, "shit!" Vincent and Emilia chase after her, "hmm... Why would the higher ups want her?, don't tell me... " Michael starts to chase after them.

"tch! How are they so fast?!" the elf jumps from tree to tree, but she was too slow, the two wolf starts to close in, "you're not going anywhere" Vincent grabs her leg, throwing her to the ground, "gah!", "you can't run, surrender" Vincent points her dagger at her when suddenly.

"hah!", "wha?" Michael throws a rock at Vincent's dagger, losing his grip, the dagger flew off his hand, "why are you doing thi- guh!" without giving him time to talk, Michael kicks his jaw, "hey- gah!" Michael stops Emilia's movements by throwing another rock at her, "tell me, why does the higher ups want her?".

As the elf lays down on the ground, she was in shock at the fact that a wolf is protecting her, speechless and surprised she asked, "w-why are you protecting me?", "....because... If my guess is correct, then i have to protect you, that and cause i can't just watch while a beautiful girl gets bullied".

The elf blushes at what Michael just said, looking at his back, she felt comfortable and safe,"is this what it feels like to... Fall in love at first sight?" she thought to herself, "wha? N-no! There's no way that this wolf is my knight in shining white armor!", embarrassed at what she was imagining, she suddenly blurted out some...childish words.

"huh?" the three wolves looks at her in confusion, "d-don't look at me!" the elf hides her face with her hands, "...anyway, answer me, why does the higher ups want her?" Michael asked ignoring the embarrassing sentence that the elf just said, " they didn't tell us why, they just want us to capture the elf princess" Vincent said while fixing his clothes.

"...hey elf, do you have a weird tattoo or an image of an animal on your body?" Michael asked the elf that is still covering her face,"huh?, y-yeah, i have a tattoo of a peacock on my thigh since i was born" the elf said while showing her left thigh to Michael, "...seems my guess is correct, does the higher ups told you to capture anyone else?".

"yes, they told us to capture a vampire called kasura, and the elf princess", "that's it?" Michael asked in doubt, "they did sent other people to capture different people, the ones that is currently pursuing you are the ones that are ordered to capture you, then they sent excel and his team to capture the bunny princess, and three of our elders are sent to capture the beastmen hero, Gracella".

"...the beastmen hero?", "correct" Michael thinks for a second, he knows what they want to do, and he wants to stop them, but battling three elders, and convincing the heroes leader, to him it seems impossible, while thinking about what he should do, he noticed something in the targets that intrigues him, "also, did you say, the bunny princess?, but their kingdom is already destroyed, we don't even know if the princess is alive".

"well, the elders said that they've found the whereabouts of the princess, and it seems they're still in the kingdom of Animalia, they're hiding themselves as a normal family of three, the queen became a normal housewive, the King's right hand became the brother of the princess, and the princess still doesn't know anything about their family, she doesn't know that she's royalty".

by hearing what Vincent said, Michael's suspicion rose up, and so he asked, "what's the name of the princess?" as he asked that question, he hopes that his suspicion was wrong,"her name, is Lily".
