Come Back Home (Kim Taehyung)
"Sir, we might have a lead."
Taehyung had become numb and heartless. He didn't care about anyone as much as he did before. Hell, he didn't even want to take care of himself because, in all honesty, he just wanted to die. He had lost you four months ago to some stupid rival gang who thought they could take you away and get away with it.
Well, they weren't wrong.
They did take away Kim Taehyung's most precious treasure.
And they got away with it.
Four months of rigorous searching and no outcome.
They say hard work pays off?
Bullshit.
When you were nowhere to be found and the entire city was a mess because of Taehyung's wrath, he understood. He understood that you were never going to come back again.
And the gang that killed you?
They hid like the cowards they were. They were aware of what they had done and they also knew what was coming for them. No one could save them from Kim Taehyung.
All the gangs in the city contributed to searching for your kidnappers. Mainly because they wanted to be on Taehyung's good side but also because they knew how he felt. Love was a blessing for people like them. How dare someone take it away?
"Call all our allies from around the city and tell them to tear that warehouse apart. I want those murderers alive. Now."
Taehyung ordered, his cold voice making the messenger shiver as he scurried away to get the work done.
It was time.
Taehyung stood up from his chair and headed to his bedroom. He grabbed his gun from the bedside table and reloaded it, his eyes falling on the photograph that he kept under his pillow. With a shaky breath, he pulled it out, tracing his fingers across it.
The photo was taken on his birthday last year when you had attempted to surprise him by baking a cake. Taehyung recalled how he had come home to a messy kitchen where you sat in the middle of it all. He remembered laughing when you stood up and ran behind him, yelling in victory as you caught hold of his shirt and rubbed flour all over his face.
Taehyung chuckled to himself, the memory making his heart swell. He didn't notice the tear that escaped his eye until it landed on the photo. A frown made its way to his forehead, nothing unusual though. Taehyung had barely smiled since you left.
"I'm sorry I couldn't keep you safe..." Taehyung whispered, his voice breaking as more tears filled his eyes. He furiously rubbed his eyes, trying to get rid of the tears but they wouldn't go. They kept coming, reminding him of all the pain he had endured in your absence.
"Just come back home." Taehyung managed to say before breaking down. He quietly sobbed while holding the photograph against his chest. Even though he knew that his words made no sense any more, he just wanted to say them. Maybe you'd hear him.
Maybe by some miracle, you'd come back home.
