On a Rainy Night

When Ciri walked out of the office, everyone was left doumbfounded. The room is filled with awkwardness, to break it VP Browns speaks "Oh I forgot, my girlfriend and I will watch a movie tonight, I have to go now or I'll be doomed. We will have our meeting some other time. Bye for now Mr. Gates and to you Mrs. Gates", Vicky stood there for moment and try to find the right words to say, "It's 5 oclock already, let's go home now. If you'll excuse us Maam and Sir". Benj briefly replied, "Go now". Vicky swiftly goes out of the room and the rest of VP Browns team members followed her. Inside the elevator Vicky and the four members were silent. None of them have the courage to talk. Then suddenly, Vicky said, "What happened in the CEO's office, stays in the CEO's office, Do you undestand?". "Yes, we understand", the four members replied in Chorus. Meanwhile Ciri was still outside the company. She wiped her tears and looked up at the Gates Inc.It was magnanimous, it was the tallest building in the country with 30 floors. Gates Inc. is high and mighty company. It symbolizes power. Maybe its wrong for a low class person like her to dream of working in an upper class company which suits upper class people. Few minutes ago she feels very small. She feels that her dreams were shattered. But NO!, every person has the right to dream, lower class or upper class. "One day, I will have my own company and prove to everyone that even a lower class person can become successful as long as the person has big dreams", she whispered to herself. Aside from Ciri's beauty, intelligence and porcelain skin she was also a very optimistic person. She doesn't easily get discourage. C R I N G G, her phone rang, "Where are you?, How' s your interview?", the woman in the phone asked. It was her mother, Lily Xanders. "It was fine mom, I was hired and I'm on my way home", she answered. "Congratulations my princess, I have no doubt that you will make it. Hurry and get here. I've cooked your favorite fish soup", her mother said. "Ok mom, I love you", she answered. Ciri pull out her wallet and check her money. She still have enough money for one week. But after that she doesn't where to get one. So instead of taking the bus she decided to walk. While she's walking it begins to rain, she wants to run but since she'll still get wet anyway so she just continue walking. Ciri's house is outside the city, she and her mother lives in a small house near the beach. After a very long walk, Ciri was so happy that she can already see her house, and eat her mom's fish soup. Full of excitement to her mom's fish soup she decided to run. Unexpectedly there was a black car parked near the seashore and a man standing in the sand. She stopped and looked at her watch, it was past 8 oclock already. She was tired, cold and hungry at the same time so she just ignore what she saw. She continues to run but she can't take off her eyes at the man in the sand. The rain is getting heavier, it seems the heavens crying. Lightning flashes, thunder roars, cold wind blows, big waves are crashing. The man who used to stand in the sand slowly walks to the seemingly angry sea. Ciri's instinct tells her that the man will kill himself and drown in the sea. "No way, Not in my watch and Not in my sea". Ciri runs as fast as she could to get into the sea.
