Chapter 4: Are you on drugs?

For the past few days Kier was busy buying foods and equipments for the upcoming apocalypse. He went to farms near the city to buy their products. All fresh, so once the apocalypse happens, he could immediately throw all of it in his spacial necklace to store. Spacial equipments have a very unique function. All the food stored in it will not rot because there are no concept of time in the spacial equipment. Even if the food has been there for a year or two, it will still be in its original state as when the food was first stored.

His roommates have seen that Kier's action this past days were weird. He has been going out early in the morning then would comeback late at night. He doesn't even attend his classes. In the past, Kier would only go out for his classes, to eat and excercise a bit.

"Do you guys think Kier's allright?" Yan Xiao suddenly asked.

"Yeah, he's acting very suspicious now" Drake added.

They contemplated a bit. Since they knew Kier, this is the first time that they have seen him acting like this.

"maybe... He's on drugs or something??" Chen young slowly said.

Before the others could respond, the door to their room opened and Kier walked in, then slouched at the couch near the door. He was tired. He barely rested. Although he has a healthy and strong body because he exercises and would occasionally go to the gym, he was still exhausted. Mentally exhausted.

"Speak of the devil" Drake whispered to the other two.

"I heard you" Kier mumbled, as he open his left eye and looked at Drake.

The three looked at each other and Chen Young smacked Drake in the head.

"Ouch! That hurt!" rubbing his head, Drake glared at Chen Young "What was that for?"

A sigh came out from all of them. They always get into trouble because of Drake's loud voice. Although he 'whispered', it was not really a whisper. It was as loud as a normal person talking.

"What are you guys talking about?" Kier opened all of his eyes as he sat properly. "It seems to be related to me"

Kier already knew what they were talking about. He was not a fool to not notice. His action has confused his friends, but he will not say that because he wants to know what his friends are thinking about him right now.

"Well..." Yan Xiao started but didn't tell what he was about to say. He looked at Drake and Chen Young, requesting for help.

Chen Young cleared his throat and looked at Kier's eyes. "What are you up to? Are you in some kind of trouble or what?" He was direct so he didn't beat around the bush.

A small smile emerged from Kier's face as he stared back at Chen Young. "No, I'm not in any trouble as you guys have been thinking" Kier straightened his position and removed his smile."I have something to tell to you three"

The three could hear the seriousness in Kier's voice so they also sat next to him. Everytime that Kier was serious, there was definitely something going on. So they put all of their attention to him.

"Go on. Don't make us wait any longer" Drake impatiently said but when he saw the faces of the other he put on a peace sign. He pouted. He only wanted to urge Kier to speak immediately.

"Listen carefully" Kier wanred, looking at his friends eyes, one by one. "The Apocalypse is coming. The whole world will be plunged into chaos. Zombies, otherworldly creatures or in simple terms, aliens, will come. The earth will eveolve and so does its inhabitants, humans, plants and animals"

The silence was broken by laughter as Chen Young, Drake and Yan Xiao laughed their hearts out. Their friend was so serious while telling about something ridiculous.

"I didn't know you could joke like that" Yan xiao said as he put his hand on Kier's shoulder to support himself.

Kier's expression didn't change. He knew that his friends would not believe him immediately. Who would believe someone when they say that the apocalypse is coming when the world looks completely fine.

"I'm not joking. I'm. Serious"

"Are you on drugs?" Drake asked, still laughing.

"No, I am not" Kier looked at his friends who are still currently laughing. He just observed them as they joked about what he said. He didn't want to waste his saliva and energy that much so he patiently waited before the three calmed down.

"You're not on drugs right?" Drake sceptically asked to clarify his doubts.

"I told you I'm not." Kier sighed "What I said earlier was true. I'm not joking."

The three felt that Kier was telling the truth but they still has their doubts.

"And how will you prove it?" Yan Xiao said. Chen Young and Drake also supported what Yan Xiao said. They may have felt that it may be true but Kier doesn't have any proof.

"I can't prove it to you now" Kier sighed. The only proof was his necklace but he still doesn't have the energy and ability to use it. "But can you guys atleast listen to what I will ask of you"

The three contemplated and soon agreed to Kier. The apocalypse will happen tomorrow so he needed to make sure that his friends was secure.

Kier told them to pack their things. They will leave the campus tonight to stay at his manor. Kier also told them to call their families to come to his manor. Their travel expenses will be paid fully by Kier. Chen Young lied to his parents, telling them that he impregnated a girl and the girls family wanted to talk to them. It was the only plausible lie that he could think of. He's a playboy so his parents would definitely fall for it. On the other hand, Drake's only family member was Lai and his grandfather. Lai is his half sister from his father, they have different mothers[1]. Kier already told him about their big sister Lai. He decided that he will just asked his grandpa Drei to come over tomorrow. Yan Xiao was an orphan so he didn't have any relatives that he was close to. The only people that was close to him was Kier, Drake and Chen Young.
