Epilogue

*13 years earlier.

The beach was packed with lots of people since it was summer. Everyone was happy trying to enjoy their summer.

"mummy, can I go swimming?" a random kid said.

"no you can't honey. do you want the waves to carry you away?"

"No,mom" He said I'm a frown.

"Don't worry. I am gonna buy you an inflatable pool so you can swim in it"

"But it's different"

"its better than getting carried by the waves" The lady said turning back to see the view of the wide waters when she noticed something.

"what's that?"she asked herself.

"Oh my God" Another random lady.

"was there an explosion?"

There were heavy dark clouds over the waters and coming towards the beach.

"This isn't normal. Come on,let's go home" The lady grabbed her son and began to run. Some people still stood there looking at the dark clouds.

Suddenly,there was a scream.

"someone help. My husband is dieing. His skin is getting wrinkled...oh on his hands turned to dust"

The people around became alarmed. There were many other screams too. The dark clouds were now on the beach and everywhere was extremely dark. Everyone on the beach at that moment died.

The random lady and her son were alive thanks to quick thinking.

That's how it started. The dark mist that covered 80% of the earth*.

**Interviewer: Was that a personal experience?

Mysterious person**: No,it was one of the few stories we heard but people were too naive to believe it. It cost us the lives of hundreds. My parents tried to do something. They tried to convince people to leave to Dragon city. It seems they were the only one who knew the truth. Them and few people from outside our village. And they died .

Interviewer: **Can you tell us your personal experience?

Mysterious person**: I was born in a less prominent family. My parent used to work for the Inazuma clan. The Inazuma's were one of the five pillar families of dragon city before they left. My parents saw the news that day and they were suddenly worried.

"Mummy, is something wrong?" I asked her. She smiled and tapped my head softly.

"it's nothing,sweet heart. Why don't you bring your little brother and let's go to the Inazuma's ?"

"Inazuma? But why? You aren't on duty today"

"yes. it's important" My mom said while my dad was pacing round the room.

I went to my room and picked up my little brother. He was a few weeks old and he had no name yet. My parents wanted him to take the Inazuma's blessings before he could be named. They saw it as honor.

I picked him up and went to the garage where my parents were already in the car. I entered the car quietly trying hear my parents whispers.

"That mist would kill many people even us if we don't do something." My dad whispered.

"Honey, what if it's something else and not what we are thinking."

"No, I have seen this before. My parents died. Back then it was the terrorist that did it to prove a point"

I knew the story of my grandparents death. There were terrorist that wanted to impose equality on the people. They wanted everyone on the same level. Something that has never happened in humanity. When people couldn't comply ,they killed people.

Back then I couldn't piece two and two. But now I know why they were afraid. It was the same terrorist pulling the same plot and the government was trying to cover it up.

We arrived the Inazuma's and took special permission to talk to the leader's wife. When we arrived the meeting room, we found about fifteen people there already.

They knew even before the news was broadcasted .

"The best we can do is ask UKSR for help" an elder said.

Note:UKSR means United Kingdom of the Shielded earth. Shielded earth was the safest place on earth. Their capital was dragon city. The five pillar families were the rulers.

"UKSR can't help us. These terrorist are from UKSR. After all UKSR didn't hesitate to push Inazuma's out of their home." Another elder said.

"The Inazuma's left on their own. We had the right to do so and we still have right as pillar family to request help" The leader's wife said.

"Even if they accept our request, will our people come with us? They won't" My father said.

"These dark clouds occurrences have been happening for about a week now but no one believes that it's real. Even when they hear the amount of deaths,they believe it can't reach us" My father said again.

"We've already sent another request" The Inazuma's leader walked into the room.

There were murmurs and deep sighs.

"Really?" one of the elders said.

"yes. But it wasn't accepted."

The murmuring grew louder.

"They said it was all a lie" The leader said.

"All a lie? Those people know what's going on but they don't want to help us" My father said in anger.

"its not just that." The leader said. "They believe that we aren't worthy of their help since we aren't in the shield earth anymore."

My father was outraged. My mother tried to calm him down. His past experiences had made him extra defensive and extra worried.

As the elders kept arguing and trying to find a solution. There was a loud noise. It sounded like thunder.

My father knew exactly what it was immediately he dragged me and my mom and ran out of the meeting room.

We ran towards the car and entered while my father tried to start the car. It didn't start. He tried and tried. We could hear the screams from far away. The dark mist came unexpectedly and the people were paying for their ignorance.

My father ran out from the car dragging us with him. We ran into the streets and kept running. Soon enough people from the Inazuma clan house were on the streets too. No cars just people running. Some people that fell didn't get up because they were trampled.

While running i saw the leader's wife holding her new born baby and her maid was also holding a baby running along with a boy around my age.

The dark mist was getting closer and some weird looking creatures began to fall from it.

They killed anything in sight.

"Don't look back. keep running. We have to avoid both the mist and the creatures"

Suddenly, a weird looking bat with extra large wings and teeth bumped hardly into my father.

"Daddy"I called.

It pinned my dad on the floor trying to bite his face off. My dad fought as much as he could against it.

"RUN" he yelled at me and my mom.

Tears began to roll from my mother's eyes. She looked away and dragged me with her.

"Mummy, no please. He will die"

She didn't say anything. She kept looking forward. I could see her tears.

She didn't look back. She never did. She kept running and so did I. There were so many screams that day.

Everyone was running towards the shield earth border. Nobody stopped even when they were tired. Those that did died instantly.

At one point, everybody slowed down. And the mist caught up to us.

"Help!!" Some people screamed.

Help!! That was the one word my ear was hearing. Help. I felt my mom hands slip from mine and I heard her scream.

A scary creature without a face was pulling my mom's leg.My mom's face was suddenly pale and it looked lifeless. Cracks began to show on her face. It was like she was made from dried clay. She was trying to utter some words but she couldn't.

"Mother" I held her hand though I felt tired from carrying my little brother for hours. I dragged with every strength I had. I even tried to kick the creature off her.

"Go. Leave me here. It's alright."

I cried and wailed "no!! Am not leaving you"

"if you don't leave, you would die.GO!!"

I sighted another creature and it sighted me too . I didn't know what to do.

"Run!!'

My legs began to move. I ran as fast as I could. I didn't look back. My eyes were clouded in tears. Something hit me hard and I fell. When I looked up, it was the boy I saw earlier with the leader's wife maid.

He was stabbing the creature with a knife with so much anger. His yells were emotional. He must have lost some one too. There were two baby at his back crying.

it was the leader's baby and the baby of the maid. I then realized that the other baby was his sibling.

After the creature was dead, he dragged me up and began to run with me.

"If you want to die then stop but don't kill yourself alongside that baby" He said. I looked up at him in surprise. I took a closer look at his face and it was extremely bruised.

Would it surprise you that that's how we ran to the border.We didn't stop one bit. We just kept running

Interviewer: What happened at the border?

Mysterious person: The soldiers there were ordered to shoot us all. UKSR wanted no one within their borders. They never did. They saw it as tainting their purity.

**Interviewer:How did you survive?

Mysterious person**: some soldiers couldn't do it. The zone of the border we were in had kind soldiers. People who reached other zone were unlucky. Some soldiers in other zone let an amount of people in. The rest were killed

**interviewer: That's dark.

Mysterious person**: The zones of the border became a camp for us. Surprisingly the mist didn't reach there. Even the creatures in it. The darkness stopped right at the gates of the border. You can still see it today.

Interviewer: The three babies, what happened to them?

Mysterious person: They are probably somewhere in an orphanage. I haven't seen them in nine years.

**Interviewer: The other boy with you?

Mysterious person**: He is now a member of the same terrorists that caused the death of billions worldwide.
