Investigation Report

Carl was looking at Noran grinning. Noran was a bit mesmerized by his charming face but soon she calmed herself down and slowly got up. Carl has heard her whisper earlier so he was still smiling at her shyness and got up.

"Uncle John must have had the breakfast ready. Go change and come down to eat," he said patting her head and he got down the bed to go out of the room.

Noran after changing, came down and saw Carl was already at the table dressed for work waiting for her. She went towards her seat.

"I'll come back early today. Take care of yourself. If you want you can take rest today at home," said Carl.

"Its ok. I am fine now. I'll go to work today."

Carl went off with a bit concern while looking at her but Noran waved at him.

Then Noran also went off after dressing herself and taking some documents and a purse. She looked gorgeous as ever with her sunglasses over her head.

At Carl's workplace,

Carl arrived to a very big building and there was a man dressed in black waiting for him.

"Have you found?" Carl said with a serious face and cold tone.

"Yes sir," replied the man dressed in black.

Carl took the lift and arrived at his office room and sat on his chair by the window. The other man gave him a few sheets of paper with some information. Carl started flipping through the papers and looked at him.

The man in black started speaking," Sir, Noran Evans has gone back to her home yesterday. Her father seems to be a gambling addict and works as a manager at some construction site. He is often told by the neighbours as some cruel drunkard who exploits his colleagues. Yesterday she went to see her mother and called by her father to give money. Apparently her father is very cruel that he beat her by whip when given a small amount of money-"

On hearing this, Carl became furious and his eyes had a murderous aura and he shouted," How dare he! Get him beat up."

The man panicked and replied"Y.. yes sir."

Carl calmed down a bit and asked," What else did you find?"

"Sir its a bit strange. All the information I got is from when she was 18 years and before that there seems to be no information about her."

"Oh..have you checked properly?"

"Yes sir even her mother does not seem to know much about her. She was adopted by her current mother for she could not have a child of her own and she took pity at her when she first found her."

"Ok you can go now. If you find anything inform me," Carl said while sighing."And get the work done, Seth."

"Yes sir" Seth exited the room.

Inside the room, Carl was all alone with a very sad look with his hand above his eyes," So that's what happened.... Suffering so much all these years" He sighed.

In the evening at 7, Carl went back even earlier to check on her as he was worried.

Seeing the house so quiet and dark, he went inside and asked,"Uncle John has Noran not yet come back?"

"No," he nodded.

After two hours..

Carl looked at his room's clock to see it was 8 but Noran still didn't return. Noran's work was supposed to be over by 5 and if late then atmost 7. Carl started wondering what she had been doing so late. He started worrying that whether her father called her again so he took his phone amd called Seth.

"Has Noran gone to her parents house?"

"No sir."

"Find where she is now." He ordered him.

At eleven at night, the door of his house was knocked open and Carl was waiting there to see the latecomer.
