CHAPTER 5 : THREATS

They arrived at Ji Eun's house. As Ji Eun opened the door and stepped out of the car Kang Chul said " see you tomorrow " . " okay sir " Ji Eun replied . She closed the car door and went into her house watching Kang Chul driving away .

She went straight to her bedroom and washed up . She finally laid down on her comfortable bed after washing herself up . She cannot stop herself from thinking about Kang Chul .

JI EUN'S POV

why is he nice and sweet to me ? he's cold-hearted to everyone except me . why ? Kang Chul ... your making me fall in love with you . Suddenly I got a text . It's him again .

^^^RYAN: now , should we continue our last conversation?^^^

LJE : what do you want ?!

^^^RYAN : don't you want to know the reason^^^

^^^why your mother was killed ?^^^

LJE : why did you kill my mother ?!

^^^RYAN : it's because she kept disapproving^^^

^^^our relationship .^^^

LJE : that's the only reason you killed

my mother ?!

^^^RYAN : well yes , so you better getback^^^

^^^with me if you don't want to be killed^^^

^^^like your mother .^^^

^^^RYAN : The decision is yours . So decide !^^^

My hands trembled and tears started flowing down my cheeks . I decided to ignore what he said and went to sleep . But the whole night , I couldn't sleep . I was scared .

*A week later *

I woke up in and got out of my bed and make my way to the kitchen eating breakfast . After I finished I went to the bathroom and washed up. I got ready , took my handbag with me and head out to my car .

I was driving to work when I suddenly got a call from a restricted number . I just picked up the call without thinking . " Hello? " I said to the caller .

" Lee Ji Eun , today's the day your gonna be on the brink of death . That's what happens to people that doesn't follow my commands . " the called said . Then he hung up .

His voice was very familiar , but who is he ? Why did he say I'll be on the brink of death today? Is it a real warning or was it a prank call to scare me ? Whatever . I just ignored it thinking it was a prank call .

After thinking for a bit I realized , it was Ryan ! Wait , I'll be on the brink of death today ? What does he mean? He doesn't even know where I am right ? Should I go to work or not ? fear got the best of me but I decided to go to work anyways . I thought I will be safe at work .

I arrived at work and I was going to my desk when suddenly a man wearing all black was following me . I was scared but I acted cool like nothing was happening. I arrived at my table and suddenly I heard someone pulling out a gun . I turned around and it was the same man that followed me earlier.
