Sweet rain

Miranna got flustered and to hide her face from Ronald she quickly got up and ran towards the washroom closing the door behind and holding her face with her hands.

Ronald just smiled at her cuteness. Then they all got ready for school and were going towards the bus stop. They got in the bus.

After few stops, Milan came board and sat in the empty seat beside Miranna.

"Hey good morning," said Milan energetically with a bright smile.

"Oh good morning," replied Milanna who was still a bit lost in her thoughts and a bit sleepy.

"You seem to lack energy in the morning. Did you again not sleep in the night?" Milan asked her with her brows curved up and concern on her face.

"Well I was awake till late up night but slept for about 2 hours I guess or maybe more. Do not worry and speak for yourself. Did you go to sleep yesterday?" Miranna said narrowing her eyes staring at her.

"Well I did," replied Milan looking the other way.

"Oh...when?"

Milan hesitated for she knew her best friend will start scolding her again so she troed to change the subject and said," Hey tell me about your relative of yours. You never told me that you have a relative like him."

Miranna stopped for a few moments and hesitated before answering. She did not know whether to tell her the truth or just go on lying.

"Hey...whay happened? Suddenly zoning out," Milan waved her hand in front of her eyes.

Coming back to her senses, Miranna replied," Oh nothing. Just thinking something. You asked about Ronald right. Well we knew each other when we were vey little and after that I have not seen him so I forgot to mention him."

"Oh I see. Do you wanna rest or wanna talk?"

"I am gonna sleep for a while. You can do your work," saying this Miranna turned her head towards the window and closed her eyes. Feeling the cool breeze she fell asleep.

All this while Ronald was sitting with Lon at the seat behind hers and seeing her sleep, he too fell asleep as he too was tired.

At school...

They arrived at school. Milan woke Miranna up and Lon woke Ronald up.

"Sure enough you are relatives," stated Milan seeing the both of them act in the same way.

"Relatives? Huh?" Lon asked Milan. Milan looked at him with a confused look at what he said. "No.. nothing. I just got how they look alike when you said they are relatives. Hehe" Lon tried to change the subject and then took his bag and got down the bus.

"Oh...well Miranna I am going down come quickly," said Milan as she got down with the other students.

"I got it." Miranna got up and turned around to see Ronald who too had got up with his bag at his back. Ronald looked like a little cute puppy when he yawned and Miranna liked cute things a lot especially she had never seen a boy act cute except for her brother when he was very little.

Miranna's inner thoughts," How cute!!! I really want to pinch his cheeks." Miranna was so awed by his cuteness that she just reached her hand out and poked on his cheeks with her finger.

Ronald was taken aback by her actions and looked at her. She smiled saying," Lets get down, kawaii kun.( means cutie)" Then his ears turned red and he started blushing but Miranna turned around to get down so she didn't notice.

Milan asked her," Hey what happened? You seem to look a lot cheerful now."

"Oh nothing just got entranced by a cute little puppy," was the reply in a gleeful tone.

"What??"Milan looked perplexed at her best friend whom she could not understand sometimes.

"Lets hurry to class. The bell is about to ring." Miranna grabbed Milan's hand and dragged her towards the classrooms.

They got in their classes. Ronald came inside the class as well. He somehow calmed himself down and looked at Miranna who was then writing something in her notebook with an air of seriousness around her. He was surprised at how quickly she changes her conduct.

Lena, a social butterfly of their class came and greeted Ronald. "Hi. You are the transfer student right?"

"Uh..yes"

"I am Lena. Nice to meet you. I was absent yesterday so you wouldn't know about me. Lets get along well." She forwarded her hand for a handshake.

Ronald thought it would be rude to refuse so he shook hands with her and smiling politely answered," Yes. The teacher is coming. Lets go to our seats."

Meanwhile Rinko who sat in front of Miranna turned around and spoke," Hey look. Your relative is so popular and Lena has already started being friends with him."

Miranna turned to look at him and saw him smile and her eyes narrowed. "Well whatever." She turned around to focus on her work.

Ronald came and sat beside her. The teacher arrived. They greeted her. The classes were going by one by one. And after the short recess, their maths teacher came. Both Ronald and Miranna were very quick to fininsh their sums and answered at the same time. The whole class turned to look at the genius pair.

Miranna started smiling and looked at Ronald who too was smiling.

"Finally you are smiling," he said with a relieved face. Miranna smiled and said," Hehe. Wanna compete who can finish first?"

Suddenly the fire alarm rang and they were having a fire drill. All the students were to get out of the school building and gather in the playgrounds or the assembly area.

The teachers escorted them out. They would have this once a month or so. The weather outside was cool and the clouds had started darkening.All the atudents were standing in line with their respective teachers.

"Hey look at the clouds. It looks like its about to rain," said Rinko to Miranna.

"Yes I know." Miranna looked above with anticipating eyes for she liked rain a lot and she could always sense it a few hours hours before it would occur.

Ronald looked at her elated face and felt the first drops of rain. He walked towards Miranna and took her hand and said," Its gonna rain heavily. Wanna go inside?"

Miranna was surprised at how close he came suddenly to her ears and held her hand. "Well..uh.." She nodded her head in agreement. Though she liked rain a lot but she didn't wanna get wet and that to in her school clothes. They both went to the teacher holding hands. It was very awkward for Miranna to be seen holding hands in front of teacher so she stayed a little behind him.

"Teacher, can I take Miranna inside first for it looks it will take a bit time for others to go inside and its gonna rain as well?"

"But our class is supposed to take the other way to go inside and ours will go after the other three classes."

"Teacher please allow us to go first as Miranna had always been very easy to get sick since she was small and take a lot of time to recover."

Miranna's eyes windened at what he said.

"Well okay then," said the teacher.

Ronald took her hand and went through the crowd and walked towards the class. The rain started pouring as they were about to go inside. Ronald wrapped his one arm around her and the other on top of her head to prevent her from getting wet.

Miranna's heart started racing and she tried to calm herself down. Her face was red with embarrassment. She turned her head down and and clubbed her arms together and with one hand on her face.
