Chapter 1 The lost warmth of family

A cry filled the room and the dull eyes of Katherine Ruiz was empty. Her body was lifeless and her face was pale.

"We can't afford an embarrasement!! Quick bring the child and give it to the madam of the house let's pretend that mother gave birth!" A girl voice could be heard with malicious glee.

The slow breaths of Katherine returned as the soul of a 21st century girl entered her body. She felt the pain of her lower half like a child has been ripped from her.

"Miss the child...the boy....the child looks bizzare, Miss Aliyana...The child has horns is it a demon?" the maid questioned as she glanced at the sleeping child.

"You are right, doesn't matter we'll just cover them up...Hah...Kathy you gave birth to a demon that just proves how unholy you are. How can you be Empress now with this reputation?"

As Katherine slowly got up and clutched her stomach.

"You are such a bitch...." Katherine huffed as she sat up.

"What...?" Aliyana blinked dumbfounded by the woman as she turned around quickly a slap hit her cheek.

"Katherine, how dare you slap me in your useless condition!" Screamed Aliyana. "You'll never see your child when father hears its a demon...We will have to kill it!"

"No, wait!" As Katherine meekly ran towards the door it closes on her. Katherine looked around and got out the window her room was on the second floor. She climbed back in and tied a bunch of bed sheets.

As Katherine swung into the second floor window rolling and collecting shards of glass in her skin. The whole family looked at her with a grimace.

"KATHERINE, WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS!?" A man voice boomed as he looked at the bleeding girl. Katherine recognized this man, this man was a father, a noble man and also apart of the church.

"Father, this child is not a demon...!" Katherine pleed as kneel on the floor. "Please just let him be he is just a child!"

The madam of the family looked down on Katherine with disgust.

"Like mother, like daughter...Uruly!" The woman grunted. "Oh, Ferdinand, we can't possibly raise this child. What would the people of the church and society say?!"

"True, Marie, we must kill the child before it becomes evil, Aliyana bring me my dagger." Ferdinand gestured.

Katherine ran over but was hold back by two boys.

"Sister please, let it be done." one of the boys pleaded.

"Katherine, you should know this would happen as you gave birth to a demon spawn." the other boy stated.

Katherine screamed as Aliyana bring the dagger to Ferdinand who held the child. He raised the dagger only to be interrupted by the door opening.

"Who dare kill the holy dragon emperor's child." A man walked in dressed in finest royalty.

"Oh! Your majesty, Maximus!" Ferdinand panicked as he threw the dagger back to Aliyana who was dumbfounded. "We thought Katherine gave birth to a demon spawn."

The man eyes narrowed as he glared at Ferdinand who was taken aback. The eyes of the Emperor were slitted he was a gorgeous man but the most inhuman feature was his eyes and horns. Those of a dragon. Looking exactly like the child in Ferdinand arms.

"Guessing the child mother is this woman..." As he walked over to Katherine who was trembling from blood lost.

The boys backed away as the Emperor lifted her pale face.

"You who had rosey cheeks, soft lips and a gracious form. Brave to crash through the window to save him. Is too perfect to be my child mother."

Katherine gave way silently and the blood between her legs trickled on the floor under her nightgown. She fell into the emperor's arms. The emperor snapped his finger as a maid grabbed the child from Ferdinand.

"Our Katherine has birth a heir of royalty! She have brought our family and the kingdom greatness!" Marie yelled innocently as she bowed down causing everyone to be taken aback. Deep down Marie was trying to save the family. Everyone followed her lead.

Katherine was tired as she was breathing heavy. Her vision faded away as she felt a pair of arms carry her. Suddenly the door is being blocked by Aliyana.

"Your majesty, you are being stained by bad blood! That woman is not good, how do you know this is your child?!" Aliyana screamed causing her parents to mouth at her to stop.

"Move..." The Emperor growled with glowing eyes as Aliyana felt afraid as she ran. "Demon...His majesty is a-"

A slap hit Aliyana face and she looked over to her father who was scowling.

"Let's go...From now on Katherine is the mother of my son, she has to be treated with respect as if she was empress."

"No way..." Aliyana silently said as she already crossed her sister she was in trouble. Aliyana held her cheek with tears. Have her church teachings have caused her trouble. "This can't be true this l-loser of a woman..."

As the doors shut and the Emperor laid Katherine on the other side of the carriage. As the maid was about to walk away, Maximus called for her.

"Let me hold the child, this young boy is my son." He quietly try to comprehend what he was looking at and the situation he was in.

"I'll name you, Amir. My first prince."
