Dead Lizard Plains

' I wonder what happened to all these Lizard-man,' I said while looking at their wounds which reeked of rot.

' Judging from their wounds, I would say they got attacked by a single enemy. Probably some beast with claws. ' This was evident from all the massive claw marks around their bodies. From the rotting meat, I could also deduce that whatever killed them doesn't eat Lizard-man meat.

' Probably been a couple of days since this happened,' I say this while covering my nose from the terrible smell. These rotting corpses were scattered around the plains' biome, which had a bit of grass but mostly dirt. While covering my mouth and nose, I notice that my skin felt slightly younger.

' Huh, what's this!, 'I say to myself while touching my face to feel it a bit more. I hadn't noticed, but my body felt younger. It felt like I was in my early teen's, probably about 15 years old.

' Anyway, I probably shouldn't stick around here, whatever killed these Lizard-man could still be lurking around, 'I say while looking around to see if I can spot anything.

' Best to loot what I can before leaving, who knows when I will get another chance to get weapons and gear. '

I approached one of the Lizard-man corpses. They definitely looked similar to the one's from those Fantasy Isekai anime. His gear was the least damaged, so I decided to take it. As I touched his armor set, the stats' skill activated. It was like an interactive hologram. The message read," Tier 1, non-magic Leather body armor. "

Below it there were the body armors stats which were really low. The armor offered just 5 defense and a couple of other stuff. It was clear that this armor was pretty much a beginner type. Here were the stats:

' Mm, this Lizard-man must have been an Archer,' I thought to myself. I could see the wooden bow which was sliced. A possible reason is that he tried to block the beast's claw attack using his bow, however the claws managed to slice it down. This connected the attack, landing right on his head. Instant death if anything.

I equipped the Leather Armor, 'Perfect fit, 'however what really picked my interest was this Stats Skill.

' Mhhh...it seems like it activated once I got hold of the armor,' I said with a curious look.

' Well, I'm not too sure how things really work in this world, but I will have to get to someone who can teach me the basics, 'I thought to myself.

I took a few moments to figure out how I can prompt this Stats screen on command. This was no PC game where I just press whatever button, so I had to learn how to operate it soon. I tried a few methods, but finally managed to operate its interface. The way it works is you just focus on making it pop up, from there you can operate it by focusing on whatever icon.

On top, it showed my level, which was at zero. It also showed a health bar and mana bar below it. I had only 100 hp and no mana.

' Maybe this skill doesn't use any mana,' I wondered.

I then focused on the personal stats icon. Learning about my current stats is vital for my survivability.

' Guess this is what that goddess meant by a skill which can help you survive,' scratching my chin in the process, I said.

My stats were really low. Here's what it said:

The body armor it's self was lightweight, which was good since I need speed if I encounter any dangerous creatures.

' There should be a Lizard-man village nearby. I just hope they are friendly or better yet are capable of speech,' I thought to myself. I would have to increase my stats first before paying them a visit.

I looked around a bit more and found a couple of spears and a dagger. They were all low stats tier 1 weapons, couldn't carry everything, so I just pick the one which was in good condition. The dagger would be useful, so I took it as well.

The spear had +8 damage and the dagger +6(+12 DMG in vital spots). At this point, I accepted the fact that this is a real life MMORPG.

' Well, time to get moving. This place stinks. '
