Episode 5

I turned around and was about to go and take a look at the peach forest and admire its beauty when I heard him call my name.

"Ms. Ming!" He shouted. "Ms. Ming. Please wait!"

I turned around and look at him. He's walking towards me. Then stop one meter away from me. He's looking on my eyes. as if he's trying to comprehend something that's way too complicated to be understood.

"Are you leaving already?" He asked gently.

"Not yet. i'm just going to take a walk. It seems so calm and peaceful inside the peach forest."

"Oh...Yes. Would you mind if I accompany you?"

"No. I wouldn't mind at all. Thank you."

We both head north. We are walking quietly. Then this time around, I'm the one who broke the silence between the two of us. I looked at him but I get distracted by the smile on his lips. The sun rays seemed to hit him perfectly. He's glowing. After a while I woke up from my dream.

"Um..." I hesitated for a while. "How did you know Minsheng? If you don't mind me asking."

"Why does the question sound familiar?"

"Oh...Really? Familiar with what?" I ask him obliviously.

He stopped from walking and so naturally I did too. He faced me and looked at me firmly. He did not took away his gaze from me. Then a sweet smile formed on his lips. He looks like teasing me. I looked at him with my please-tell-me-because-I-don't-have-any-clue look. After a few seconds he started to giggle. I'm not gonna lie. His giggle is way too cute.

"You don't remember?" He asked me with a hint of making fun of me kinda tone.

"What's there to remember?" I'm now confuse like never before.

"I'm the one who asked you that question. Really? you don't remember?"

I looked back from when I first met him. I analyzed my brain from some information.

"Ah... Hehe!" I let out a fake embarrassed laugh. "Yeah, now I remember."

"I met him since I was young. He's been here for a really long time. He never left."

"Oh... How long has it been?"

"Like really long. I'm now four hundred thirty eight thousand years old."

"Oh... So you're still young." I mutter to myself.

"You think that's young? Then what are you? A fetus?"

"I mean compare to Minsheng you're really young."

"Yes. That's true. may I ask you why you call him by his first name? And I just noticed because it's way too natural but you don't use honorifics." He said.

Oh... Crap! How could I miss that. I'm not that old enough to drop honorifics.What could I say in order for him to believe me?

"Ah... I'm just not use to it. Sir."

"You don't need to use honorifics. I'm just kidding."

He let out a gentle laugh and he looked down and he continued walking so I followed him. He's looking around then he turned right. There's a boat in front of us. He offered his hand to me.

"Would you like to ride a boat with me?"

A boat ride with you? I can feel my face becoming warmer. I looked away for a moment then I took his hand and he lead me to the boat. I have never been to a boat with a man before. Oh my... I should't think like that. He just want me to see the beauty of the peach forest while riding a boat, right? I tried my best to convince myself.

We are both settled and he took the paddle and row the boat. The scenery of the peach forest is different. Riding a boat made it seem like more enchanting. The gentle rock of the boat made me feel light on the inside. I looked at the man before me. I give him the most genuine smile that  I could ever offer and I mouthed 'thank you'.

"This is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen." I said it looking at him.
