First day of University

Alarm turns on, I slowly open my eyes to turn it off. I looked at the clock "Its 6:00 am" I said to myself. It's so cold weather and after a long time I had a very good sleep, I yawned. I look towards my right, Justin is still sleeping. I sat on my bed and took my phone, One new message and two voice calls, I unlock my phone to check it. One Message is from Unknown and other is from Da...Dad! Shit! I forgot to inform dad that I reached safely. I quickly called dad but he didn't respond "Maybe he is sleeping" I said to myself. I checked the message

Text message from Unknown

Hey Shitty head! Are you sleeping??

Okay, be ready on time I'll come to pick you at 9:30am.

Badnight and have a bad dream.

      Tsk! She didn't save her number in my phone so, saved her number as poop and kept my phone on table. I should get ready before time. I took my clothes and went towards washroom to take a shower, it's so cold I don't want to take shower. I shivered a bit. I wore plain white shirt and black pants. After a while, I came in my dorm room and I saw that Justin is awake and he was chatting with someone. "Good Morning Justin" I said with a smile and he kept his phone aside "Oh! Good morning Christoph" He replied. "Wait in the dorm room I'll go and wash up" He said to me "Okay" I replied. He took his phone, a small bag and left the dorm room. I sat on couch it's 6:30am. What about my breakfast? Should I leave and find a Càfe? but Justin told me to wait. Ugh!! What to do? I am so confuse. Suddenly my phone rang I check the caller Id and it was Dad, I quickly pick up the call.

On call

Hey dad!

You little punk! I told you to call me when you will reach at university.

(I smiled) Sry..daddy

Tsk! It's your first day and you forgot me already?

No dad it's not like that...

So, did you made any friends??

Yeah...

We had a long conversation... It felt so nice after hearing dad's voice but then I realized that its 7:45am already and Justin haven't came.

On call

Dad I am getting late so I'll get going.

Okay my little punk just be safe and take care of yourself. Study hard and don't skip your meals and....

  Tsk! Who needs a Mom if you have a dad like him..I felt hungry, so I thought to leave the dorm. Just then Justin came holding two polythene bags. "Oh sry I am late" He said while keeping the polythene bag on table. "It's okay.. by the way I am hungry. Will you come with me in Càfe? I said to him. " No need for it I already bought breakfast for us." He replied. "Oh thank you" I said and we both sat near table to eat breakfast. I unwrapped the food and I saw that it was banana nut waffle with whipped cream.

This is my most favorite food item!" I said with full of surprise. "Actually Gwen told me to bring breakfast because you just came yesterday so, you don't know the shops here." He said. "Oh! Thank you" I smiled at him and he did the same. She remembers that I love banana nut waffle with whipped cream... "So, You and Gwen are close? " I asked him while eating. "Yup, we both know each other since kids maybe... Age 10 or 11" He replied "Oh that's nice" I said to him. We talked about some things like university life, dreams, ambitions etc. and I didn't feel uncomfortable with it.

     After few minutes we finished eating and chit chatting. "It's cold outside you should wear more clothes" He said to me. "Um.. Okay" I replied. Suddenly Justin's phone began to ring. He took his phone, I glance a little at his phone and my heart ache a little because the caller id was Gwen and a heart was there beside her name. Justin picked his phone and I was looking at  him "Get ready and wait for me near university gate" He said to me "Okay" I replied. He took his bag and left the dorm room. Is  something going on between Gwen and Justin? Are they dating?. While I was thinking My phone made a notification sound I took my phone. A message from poop. I quickly unlocked my phone to check it.

Message from Poop

Bad morning Shitty head. I'll come directly to classroom. So, you can go with Justin. Here ##### Justin's phone number if you want.

Okay and thank you for today's breakfast.

   I kept my phone aside and wore black sweater and wrapped shawl around my neck. I decide to wear my specs in classroom so I kept my specs in my bag. It's 9:25am I should leave now. I took my phone, bag, some cash (wallet) and left the dorm room. Its not snowing but weather is quite chilled. After few minutes, I reached at University gate. I lean on the pillar of the gate while waiting for Justin.

Its 9:35am and I was so bored so I started walking around while checking up my phone. I saved Justin's number and I got message from Gwen.

Message from Poop

;) I am on my way. See you soon in class.

Okay

    Suddenly a girl accidentally bump into me and about to fall down but I catched her. "Ouch! " She exclaimed "Oh! I am so sorry" I replied to her. "Its okay it was my fault for not paying attention at front while walking" She said with a smile on her face. I don't know what to reply her so I just gave her a nod. "By the way I am Alice Harie. A literature student" She said " I am Christopher Bay. I am also a literature student and a sophomore" I replied. "Oh Nice Christopher so I think..you must be having fiction class today, right?" She asked me. "Yeah...just call me Christoph" I replied. "Okay Christoph...I also have same class so should we go together? " She asked "Uhm... Okay let's go" I replied.

We headed our way towards fiction class while I thought to inform Justin about this so I texted him.

Message to Justin

Hey Justin! Its me Christoph. I am heading towards fiction class with a new friend so meet you in the class.

I kept my phone in pocket and soon we reached at the class but the door was locked. "The door is locked" I said to Alice. "Yeah.. It will be unlocked soon" She said and a man in uniform approach us. "Couple of early birds" He said with a smile on his face. He quickly unlocked the door and left. We enter the class and it was empty. Alice took a seat and I sat beside her. I removed my sweater, shawl and kept beside me. I wore my specs."Oh! You look handsome with specs" Alice said while looking at me, I looked at her with a blank face.

"I mean you look different in glasses" She said nervously, I smiled at her and she did the same. Within a blink of eye students came and class was no more empty. "So what's your major?" Alice asked me. "English. Yours?" I said to her "Econ" She replied "Nice" I said to her. I saw Zen and Blair comming towards me "Hey guys" Zen and Blair said while looking at me and Alice "Hi Zen. Hi Blair" Alice replied to them with a smile."H-Hi Zen and Blair" I replied and he sat beside me following Blair sat beside Zen. Soon Justin came his expression was a little scared and nervous. He came and sat beside Alice. First seat was empty and on second seat Justin sat followed by Alice, me, Zen and Blair. So, I assumed that Gwen will sit on first seat beside Justin. Justin looked at me and gave me a smile. I wanted to ask him about Gwen but a teacher came in class.

  "Good morning students today fiction class is cancelled but instead I'll start my Econ class" He said by looking at students and silence spread in the class. "Well... for sophomores. I am Prof. Andrew and welcome to Econ101 class. This class might be the most important class, so I want you to pay your full attention towards it. As per my 20 years of experience.... " Suddenly door opens and everyone looks towards the door and they had a shocking expression on their face. I didn't look because I want to focus on Professor but I noticed that Prof. also glance at door and his face turned into full of surprise. So I also turned my face towards door.  It was Gwen..she was wearing a black top with black sweater,black jeans and black shoes. Our eyes meet we both were looking at each other probably staring each other. She raised her right eyebrow and licked her bottom lip while gazing at me. She started walking towards me without breaking the gaze. She was standing in front of the my row, she broke the gaze and looked at Alice. I also looked at Alice and she kept her head down and stood up from her seat, Gwen sat on the seat of Alice between me and Justin. Alice sat on the first seat where I assume that it is Gwen's seat. Everyone was gossiping and chaos spread in classroom. I glance at Gwen and smiled at her. She gave me a blank face, she didn't even smiled back at me. Tsk! So rude as always.

    "Silence in my class!!" Professor shouts and silence spread in class. "Ms. Parker? " Prof. said "Yes sir" Gwen replied with same blank face. I thought that Professor will punish her for coming late but..."I am happy that you attend my class and I hope you will attend the class regularly." Prof.  said to Gwen with a smile on his face. "Yes sir" She replied with the same blank face.

Soon Prof. started his lecture and I tried to concentrate on it. Time skips and few minutes remain to end the lecture. "You don't have lectures today so, sophomore students you can explore the campus" Prof. said and everyone started gossiping. "Class Dismissed!" Prof. said to everyone and left the class. "Let's go" Zen said. I wore my sweater and shawl, everyone winds up there things and soon we all left the classroom. We were walking in corridor.

"So what are we going to do now?" Justin asked while looking at everyone. "We should explore the campus..for Christoph" Blair said by looking at me and everyone "Yeah sure why not" Alice replied. Everyone seems so excited including me until... "Let's go and eat something first. We can explore campus later" Gwen said. Everyone stayed quite and it was so awkward "Yeah..Gwen is right we should go and eat something first." Justin said. "Umm...meanwhile we can show him the shops near university" Alice replied by looking at me and everyone agreed. Soon we left the university. These guys are very friendly and good. I am so happy... I only hope that Gwen doesn't bully me then my life will be perfect..
