Episode 5

The school's bell ring through the entire school building. It seems the first period of school has finished and it is time to get lunch. Every student in the school were going to the cafeteria except Elaine. She brought her own lunch box, she must save every expenses she can. Elaine walking to the school garden to have lunch as she see not many student will go there around that time.

After spotting an empty bench under the tree shade, Elaine walking fast to the bench and sit. Elaine wondering in her mind while enjoyed eating, when the teacher show and ask her to her seat this morning she didn't realize there's another empty seat at the front row. Elaine think it is weird for her to be sent at the back seat if that front seat are not occupied. 'Maybe the person who seat there are absent'.

Elaine keep thought to herself and finished her lunch faster.

Elaine just arrive at her classroom after finishing her lunch. She sit at her appointed seat and taking out a novel book. She still have some time before another bells ringing to start a new class period. Seat next to her are being rounded by the girls in the class and the girls in another class too. They were talking and laugh with whining way sound in their voice. It is kind of irritating but Elaine had no interest in poking her nose with their activities or whatsoever there. She just quietly continue reading her book.

Suddenly one of the girls accidentally knock her elbow hitting Elaine's book and the book were hitting Elaine's face before drop down at the floor.

"Ouch! Be careful will you? " Elaine speak in low voice but sound a little bit angry and irritated.

"Opss, sorry. I forgot that there's a person sitting here. Hehehe. " The girl teasingly replied.

"Yeah. Riigghhtt.. " Elaine whisper annoyingly.

"I'm sorry. Did you say something? Did you feel displeased with my apologize?" The girl turn around and speak to Elaine with unsatisfied voice.

"Do realize, you just transfer here today girl. There's no one will back you up so please mind your words and action there. We can make you quit school in a blink of an eye and sending you to your poor vilage back." The girl continue. She is threatening Elaine.

But Elaine will not going to lose to the threat, she stand straight facing the girl after picking her book. Just when Elaine open her mouth to speak, the school bell ring.

The girls from other class hurriedly return to their class as the lesson will start soon.

"Sue, come on. Just ignore this dirty village girl. We should go back to class now. " another girl standing next to the girl who threaten Elaine pulling the girl who been known as Sue by her hand. Sue stares at Elaine for a minute before going.

"Tch." Elaine click her tongue. She is not a weak kind of girl. She will fight back whenever she know that she didn't do any wrong things.

Elaine sit back to her seat. When she started to relaxed her breath, suddenly she feel like being watch from beside. She turn her head and see the guy that she believe he was Jimmy looking at her with his hand supporting his head lazily.

"What? " Ask Elaine a bit rough.

"Interesting." Jimmy said then he smile and facing back to the front.

There's vaguely voices heard in his head right now. He couldn't care any more or less of what it say. Jimmy's mind wonder back at the time before the second period bells ringing. His eyes were looking at the girl sitting beside him once in awhile as to not let the girl know she's being watched.

'What an interesting girl she is. While every girl are fighting to get to be near me, she just ignoring me this whole time. What's more, she got guts to speak back to the girls next class. Not bad I say except for the way she grooms herself. It's nothing to be proud of. '

Long thought came to Jimmy's mind. Then, without him realize school period for the day has end. He saw Elaine was tidying up her books in a hurry and dash out from the class.

Elaine walking as fast as she could. She don't want to be late on her first day at work. What's more she felt happy that she can leave the school. The school environment especially the class made her feeling stressed a little bit. Certainly she doesn't get a nice impression on her first day.

"Hello, good evening. I'm here to report work as a part timer. My name is Elaine and it's my first day today. " Elaine greet the staffs and manager in the cafe where she work.

Everyone in the cafe were replying her greeting and smile nicely to her. Elaine felt relief as all of the staff were so nice to her. She was enjoying herself working at the cafe. Little did she know that she spoken to the manager through telephone before. The manager did ask her if they ever met somewhere before.

That evening around 7pm, Ken leaving the cafe and walking towards Jaime's place. He need to checking up his friend whether he's getting better or getting worse.

Knock! Knock!

"Jaime, open up it's me Ken here. " Ken calling from outside the door while knocking.

Without delay, Jaime open the door and let Ken come in the room.

"So, feeling any better? I brought some food from the cafe." Said Ken.

"Yeah, more better. Thanks for the food. Who's cooking this?" Jaime replied.

"Me of course! What, you think you're the only one know how to cook nice food?" Ken answer proudly.

"Heh. Well thanks a lot there mr. Ken who cook nice food." Jaime reply with small laugh.

"So how is the cafe today, are you all busy? I can come to work tomorrow after class." Said Jaime.

"Nah, not busy today. Same as usual. Oh there's a new part timer today. She from the same school as you. I've forgot the name."

Explain Ken.

"It must be hard for you right to be back in the school eventhough only for certain subject " Ken continue.

"Well, I have to. Last time when we studying together it was fun to take a course that I'm interested in. But who know because of certain issue I have to struggling back to get back what is mine." Said Jaime reminiscing something from the back of his mind.
