Disruptive

Leo was coming. Today was it. I repeated these words in my head over and over again. Then, the door opened. I looked up at the same time the others did.

Leo walked in. He didn't look any different but I could tell he was nervous. His green eyes wandered around the classroom, restless. His black hair flowed freely as he slowly walked in. He walked up to our teacher who pointed to Leo's seat and he started towards there until he looked up and our eyes met. His eyes were empty like a void and it brightened a bit when he saw me. I looked away. I promised myself that I would only watch. He walked past me and sat in his seat. The day was going to be long.

I stood at the door. I was nervous. Who knows what would happen if I opened the door. Would I see anyone I knew? I highly doubted that. Maybe some memories would come back. I hope so. I took one deep breath and opened the door. I took a step inside and felt eyes on me. I looked down and walked up to the teacher who told me my seat was in the back. As I walked my eyes met with the girl I saw at the hospital. She had blonde hair and sad blue eyes. I walked past her and sat in my seat. I wonder how this day will be like. I sat by myself staring down at the table.

The minute class was over, people gathered over to Leo. He looked surprise to see people coming up to him. Then it started: the questions. They were all shouting and trying to get him to answer. He looked confused in the turmoil but I left them alone. I never knew how popular Leo was until now. Then one of our classmates, Mike (short for Michael), came up to me and asked,

"You aren't gonna do anything?"

"What do you mean? Why would I?"

"I see. I thought you two were friends but I guess I thought I wrong."

"You aren't wrong. It's just that he has other people who can help him regain his memories and I'm not one of them."

"Is that something you should be saying. I thought you of all people would understand how he could be feeling right now and try to help him out."

I hated him. Michael was a jerk. He knew I couldn't help it and he still tried to push me. I was pissed.

" YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING! HOW DO YOU THINK I FEEL SEEING HIM LIKE THIS! I CAN'T DO ANYTHING! ALL I CAN DO IS WATCH! I CAN'T DO ANYTHING! Nothing at all."

Mike looked at me in surprise. The class stared at me. Then I saw him. Leo stared at me with a sad face. He didn't understand anything. Tears streamed down my cheeks. I grabbed my bag and ran out of the classroom.

"Skyler! Sky!"

Mike called out to me but by then, I had already run out of the school.

When class ended, I thought that I would be by myself but the class rushed up to me. They shouted out questions at me and I didn't have answers for most of them.

"What have you been doing Leo?"

"Do you remember me?"

"Come with us and we'll help you get your memories back."

So many people were worried about me. It was sad that I didn't remember any of them, but I could make new memories.

"-I CAN'T DO ANYTHING! ALL I CAN DO IS WATCH! I CAN'T DO ANYTHING! Nothing at all."

The girl from earlier was screaming at someone. I looked at her. For some reason, my heart hurt. It pained me to look at her. It felt as though I had forgotten something important. She ran out of the class and I saw tears run down her face. I wonder why she was crying?

DING

"UUGGGHHH!!!!"

My head hurt. It was the same as when I was in the hospital. It felt like it would split open. I heard voices around me but they sounded as they can from a bottle of water. Then I collapsed.
