Arc 2 Chapter 2.4 ( Intersellar Beast World )

His heart started to beat in quick rythm as if he was on a race. Jiro's eyes are currently bright as he stared intensely on that slender figure.  A few seconds passed as Jiro could feel his throat tightening while his eyes turned watery , he hurriedly created an illusion around his face to cover up his emotion and wiped his eyes secretly. 

" Is he Zone's reincarnation? "

Doze flashed and appeared beside Jiro .It is fearless when making an appearance to the public since its master was the strongest warrior in the palace , moreover ... A boy who was capable of suddenly appearing through thin air was no rare occurrence in this era as everyone have different abilities here .

" He's Duan Li . The rebirthed main protagonist with a sociopathic mind . " Doze said and its selected boyish voice sounded to Jiro's voice .

" ... He's Zone's Reincarnation? "

" ... " Doze

Doze inwardly roared , i really can't answer you about that master . It will only be censored just like the other time .

Jiro understood that Doze couldn't answer him regarding his question but he is still hopeful . He just didn't expect that his target this time looked like Zone in the previous world .

As if he noticed the emperor's eyes . Duan Li moved his red iris to the direction of the throne and saw the sharp narrowed eyes of the emperor with his iris glowing gold in the shadow . Duan Li's left brow arc up in confusion thinking to himself wether he did something wrong that caught the eye of the behemoth .

Jiro's knuckles tightened , he could feel the familiar aura around this Duan Li . The way he layed himself on the chair , the red iris that speaks bloodbath , the upturned lips that looked gentle yet at the same time ominous , the contradictory within him speaks Zone's presence .

Duan Li nodded to the emperor and showed his glass . Jiro also nodded and followed him to drink a glass of wine.  Their tacit understanding created a harmonious atmosphere between them despite the distance. 

Doze watched their silent interaction and thought inwardly . Zone's identity isn't simple at all , At the first world , Zone transmigrated to the previous world and became its protagonist which was detected by it after Jiro transmigrated . That mission world was actually missionless yet his appearance made Doze's program to issue a hidden mission for Jiro to fulfill then took the shackle that sealed it . That way it gathered its fuel to run itself and bind with Jiro . Right now , its program notified it that Zone reincarnated unto Duan Li's body , but there's still a lot of loopholes that it couldn't understand . Wether Duan Li indeed got reborn , or Zone was Duan Li from the very beginning .

Because Doze had not detected any incompatibility between Duan Li's body and Zone's soul . There is no way that would happen , only realm agents could do that thing .

Only realm agents have the ability to possess any vessel they desired due to the uniqueness of their soul structure . However , Zone was never a realm agent and it made Doze suspicious of his identity .

Doze still couldn't fall unto a conclusion with limited information so it will set this aside from now and dwell on it after it gathered more information about its master's fated soulmate .

Moreover , the program within it that censored any important information tells it that maybe , Zone was related to its creator .

Zone put down his glass and noticed that Hu Jie was absent in this banquet hall . Then he suddenly remembered that Hu Jie was supposed to leave this planet to escape the engagement when he encountered an accident and lost his memories .

Zone hurriedly opened his quantum watch and strolled in the internet. There he saw the information that Hu Jie was engaged to a lady from a prominent family but ran away to escape . He couldn't help laughing at Hu Jie's fate , it seems he couldn't escape to the part where he would be engage to someone then escape . He's already fated to lose his memory and get taken care of by the mouse female .

Speaking of this mouse female , she must be cute right? Shall he turn this story of a love triangle?

Zone's head spun as he again started scheming his playful thoughts.  While he was thinking about seducing the female then make her betray Hu Jie/Yang Wei . A shadow loomed over him making him to pause his thoughts .

He lifted his head and saw a gorgeous face that could destroy nation . Feme fatale!!! Vixen!! What a temptor!

Jiro's heart itched as he wanted to push this person down and make him cry under his body . Seems like his Asexuality had disappeared after Zone defiled him from the previous world .

Zone's thoughts started swirling . ' This emperor ... Should i seduce him? He looks good ... Better than Hu Jie .

" You're Duan Li from the Duan Family of Arctic Foxes? "

Zone smiled and stand up . " Yes , your majesty . This baseborn is honored to receive your attention ."

Jiro felt itchy , his heart beating wildly screaming of longing .

Doze who is already invisible inwardly thought ' how bold , as expected of Zone . He still didn't change . '

" Well ... It couldn't be helped right? Foxes were indeed top notch beauties hehe . " Zone said and cling his glass of wine together with the emperor's

Jiro nodded but instead of choosing to sit across Duan Li . He chose to sit beside him , he wanted to be closer to Zone's reincarnation to satisfy his wild longing for him . Or else , he would lose control over his emotion and immediately choose this man as his male empress .

He couldn't do that right? After all , he still doesn't have information about Duan Li . He had been busy sorting the mess in the court and didn't have time to order his subordinate to check Duan Li . But he didn't expect that Duan Li would be Zone's reincarnation . Duan Li and Lai Longwei started talking with each other . Zone was now permitted to call Jiro his current name , Lai Longwei . When Zone heard this , he suddenly remembered that his mother's surname seems to be Lai .

They talked about each other's preferences , likes and dislikes for along time and time passed by quickly if as they enjoyed talking with each other .

It was then that a small commotion began . Zone and the emperor paused and looked at the commotion . Zone frowned in irritation because of the disturbed chat .

He was about to mobilize his killing intent when he saw a familiar head cowering in someone else's embrace.  Zone's irritated expression paused and turned unto amusement .

' oho~ it seems this vixen has attracted another man this time . As expected of Shiela . '

He stood up abruptly with an expression of coldness . He strode to their direction and stared at the hand that was wrapped around Shiela's waist .

When a silver haired man approached the commotion with a chilly aura . The noises turned quiet and the gathered people looked at the man who emmited chilly air that made them shiver . They recognized this man , he's Duan Li of Duan Family , an Arctic Fox .

Shiela shivered and her eyes widened when she saw Duan Li's cold expression.  It was her first time seeing him like this , he was usually gentle to her and always teased her . Yet now , his gaze towards her looked chilly and murderous .

" H-hubby "

Shiela's feeble , weak and soft voice sounded . All the guests' eyes rounded in shock . They didn't know that Duan Shaoye was already engaged .

" Who's that man? " Zone coldly spoke and stared intently at the hand that touched his girlfriend's body . His eyes looked like he was about to commit a murder .

That man widened his eyes and hurriedly removed his hands from the stranger woman . He just took the initiative to flirt with this woman since she was alone , he didn't expect for her to be already in someone's possession . He cursed inwardly and regretted not restraining his playboy heart , look now ... He accidentally touched porcelain and endangered his life. 

When that man's hands was removed , Duan Li's eyes turned warm and stared gently at Shiela with intense love .

" Darling , what happened to you . "

The quick change of expression of Duan Li was noticed by many . Their heart turned cold from shock . They didn't expect this Duan Shaoye to be this deeply inlove with someone . This level of possessiveness is terrifying! They couldn't imagine what their life would become if their lover were like this , would they be abused mentally?

Shiela's eyes turned watery and hugged Duan Li and buried her face on his chest . Her dress is currently wet from food stains . Judging from her appearance , Shiela must have tripped and stumble unto the table . Her dress was so long no wonder she made a commotion just because of clumsiness .

" Don't be sad~ I'm here . You really can't protect yourself without me huh? No one loves you in this world better than i am . " Zone's eyes turned gentler and rubbed her back softly . He kissed her eyes and wiped her tears before pulling her out of the limelight .

The people who witnessed this remained silent , the whole place became silent .

Their mouths were silent yet their hearts were beating loud , mind screaming in fright .

Duan Li's gentle gaze looked ... Terrifying to them . Coupled with his ominous crimson eyes , he looked like a devil hugging an innocent sheep , coaxing it to be slaughtered .

Jiro watched that scene with dull eyes . Although he knew that Duan Li was a sociopath , he doesn't like Duan Li touching and being intimate with someone else .

Jiro felt like cheated .

His heart felt like it was squeezed and his mouth turning sour.  He even wonders wether a small prairie is growing over his head . Jiro already considered Duan Li as his , Duan is his lover! Why would he get cheated with a woman! The worst thing is ,

Duan Li is now straight!

Jiro slapped his thigh in annoyance and gritted his teeth . He walked back to his room and closed the golden door with a bang .

He is usually calm and carefree . But ever since Zone entered his life , his mind would often turn chaotic.  Now , his irritation seems to have gotten worse .
