Charred Ability

Setting off in just 4 hours, my feet felt numb, this time I was going to die for sure.

Hours slowly passed, and soon came the fight. Everyone was combat ready, they did not experience fear at all. After all, all of them probably had extraordinary abilities, unlike me. However, just before we could set off, we realised we where surrounded, by who? By people wearing polished gear and giving off a very overwhelming aura. Their leader shouted: “Who dares to intrude into the imperial governments forest, the forest that we spent time forging, but you all are camping here and partying like it’s nothing? WHO do you think you are?”

Their forest? Their forest? Just how much land do these people own. No wonder the second test is to take them down, but I’m pretty sure the 500 trainees here can take them down. Even if they are the royal guards.

One trainee spoke up, he had broad shoulders, and was fit to be the leader of the trainees, he spoke up, “Who cares, this isn’t your forest, this is everyone’s forest, I saw a few peasants cutting down wood a few minutes ago, seems like that is allowed. But camping isn’t? Hahahahaha, what a joke, all of you.”

The royal guards where furious, no one had ever spoken to them like that before, they had absolute authority and it was obvious.

One of them spoke up,

“Those who try to insult the Imperial Government, get punished!”

Every last one of them rose their swords. Their spiteful look, they were looking down on us, but still, they remained cautious, of the horde of trainees. They definitely didn’t look like they where inexperienced. I have a feeling this is going to go wrong.

Since there where a lot of us, they struggled to hold formation however they managed to circle us, slowly towering above us, I immediately saw the 3 layer circle, there where around 300 of these Royal Guards.

But they where outnumbered, in both skills and numbers. One of the trainees smirked as he ****** his sword into one of them.

They instantly fell to the guard, and dissolved. Are these npcs? Or real humans?

Not these questions again.. They aren’t real humans, I quickly told myself, and if they where, we are only using self defence.

I felt a tingle of power bolt through me, and I set of a terrifying aura. Everyone looked at me, Fear in their eyes, I felt like I was transforming? No... Glowing. With one hand, I shot out a bolt of light, it’s like it had auto aim, with one move, I killed 10 guards. The burden of killing humans, is unreal, but I knew that I had to keep going, as they where the ones that attacked us, everyone else also racked up their kills, only a few people perished, as some of the guards had insane attribute levels. At last, we where victorious. My muscles ached and I felt extremely dizzy, I knew that I overworked my attribute, it’s true, it was electricity mixed with light, the two forbidden attributes, but the electricity was golden, unlike any other, after a while, I passed out.
