chapter 4

The first scene that greet me as I reached the lodge was the beautiful white winter wonderland. It was such a scenic beauty that blew away all troubles in my mind. It remind of the Christmas that I spend with my parents, it was such a happy time. I felt at peace for the first time watching the expand of snow in front of me with a mysterious feeling to closeness to something that I can't comprehend.

As I made my way towards the reception of the lodge I instinctively turned back  and saw a man that I remembered sitting next to me on the plane. He was talking to an employee in the lobby . I thought of how much Of a coincidence it was that we were in the same destination and that we even sat next to each other in the plane, though neither of us initiate any small talk, with me busy brooding in my own world and him doing whatever he is doing. Deep in the train of thought that was forming I made my way towards my room, following the employee that was designated to help me to my room. It was such a beautiful room with a cozy fireplace and a beautiful view out the window.

The room was meant to be for the two of us. It was suppose to be a beautiful, romantic getaway for the two of us. Yet here I am alone thinking of how it would have turnout if he had been here with me.

Remembering my promise with Martha, I took a deep breath trying to motivate myself to have a good time. As I took a bath and put on a change of clothes. Having decided to have a walk to clear my mind, I went down and began to explore the path at the back of the lodge. It was beautiful trail. I walk down the path with  nothing particular in mind taking in the scene in front of me.

Before I knew it, the light began disappearing making it too dark for me to see. I took out my phone to help me to find my way back. But I realise that I didn’t have my phone on me. Cursing my absent mindedness I try to make out the way squinting my eyes trying to see in the darkness.

A few minutes of trying to walk and not freaking out, I being the clumsy ass  that I am stumble on my own foot and fell hard on my knees hitting on the stone of the path, scraping my knees. It was so painful as I hit on a stone that only a thin layer of snow was covering it. I try to stand up a bit too hastily for  my liking  and again much too my aghast and curiosity of how I did it, I feel down again this time spraining my ankle of the same foot

While trying to stop myself from crying out due to the pain, It began colder I look up to see that it had start snowing. I could feel the temperature dropping . Not knowing what to do and the inability to walk and my stupidity of forgetting my phone with the pain of losing Andy, I began sobbing hardly. I know it was stupid and not logical way of getting out of the situation but I couldn’t do anything , I couldn’t think and I kept sobbing.

I think a good half an hour has pass with me trying to stand up and trying to think of a plan of how to go back to the lodge whilst crying. It has become very cold now and I start to feel numb, but I could feel myself feeling sick and started to loose focus. Suddenly I saw some light. Not thinking of who might it be or what it is I called out for help. Despite knowing the danger and the slight possibility of being kill, I still call out for help with the little strength I have.

The light came nearer hearing me. I could see a man coming with a torch, within a minute I could see him. I called out for help and suddenly I feel myself faint due to all the pain and coldness. Before I lose consciousness, I saw the man nearing me. I felt a relief wash over me as I slip out of consciousness with my last thought being of Andy.

I was warm I could smell the smell of  the tasty smell of chicken, as I made my way towards the kitchen forgetting all about the tired day I had at the shop. It smelt so good as I peep into the kitchen I saw Andy singing with the spatula as a microphone whilst the chicken is in the oven. I decided to watch secretly trying to hold my laughter.

Andy still hasn't notice me , as the song came to an end I gave him  a big clap, grinning as i saw Andy surprised reaction. He was so surprised and was frozen like and deer caught in a headlight. I decide to spice it up by repeating all the tiny dance move he made while still grinning at him. He was blushing beetred. I could help but stop it because he look so embrassed. Laughing I hug him whispering

"I never knew there is an idol living in our home"

As I ran away laughing, I saw his face became even more redder that is if it can became even more redder.

I woke up with a start and found myself on a warm bed in a strange bedroom with a towel on my forehead. As I tried to hoist myself up I look around the room, It has a grey wall, with a table and a chair with the bed I was in. It has a big window with a with a beautiful view. It was a big room with a simplistic design. As I struggle to sit up  I realise what a massive headache I have and my body was aching so bad as was feeling feverish. I let my body fall down again with no strength left to try staying up. I felt myself falling asleep while thinking  about where I am.
