Episode 4: A Warning

"Hey, Xiao. Where Aether and Lumine?"
Xiao
"They're at home. Aether is sick so Lumine taking care of him."
Xiao
"Yea, I don't know why but... maybe because his body still weak. I already told you before right?"
Venti
"That, Aether has a weak body since he was born. He has asthma but strong power."
Xiao
"I hope school will over soon though."
He whisper still worried about the twins. Venti pat his shoulder trying to reassured him.
Venti
"I'm sure they will be fine. The class is starting."
Lumine
"Nii-chan wait here okay? I'll make a porridge."
Aether weakly opened his eyes once Lumine left, he can still feel his body temperature rise up.
Aether
(How did I ended up having a fever?)
Aether
(Does it because of that dream? Or is it supposed to be my memory? It felt too real for it to be a mere dream.)
Aether
(Arghh.... My head hurts.... My body is hurts... it hurts so much.... Why everything is hurt?)
He closed his eyes back, breathing heavily, sweat keep on rolling down. His whole body shiver once a while in pain.
He force himself to stopped from shivering and smiled weakly at his twin. She sat beside him then proceed to help him sit. Lumine feed Aether the porridge she just made.
Lumine
"Aether are you... in pain?"
Aether
*eyes slightly widened before replaced with an empty smile.*
Aether
"I'm fine Lumine. No need to worry about me. I'll recover soon."
He said while gently holding her hand.
Lumine
"But, you look pale. Paler than before."
Aether
"There's nothing to worry about, you believe in nii-chan right? You know that I'm strong aren't you?"
Lumine
"Nii-chan, can I leave you alone for a while? I need to buy medicine for you, the supplies already finished."
Aether
"Sure but how about Xiao-nii?"
Lumine
"Xiao-nii give permission to me before he left, umm.... Are you sure, you can be alone?"
Lumine sighed still worried.
Lumine
"I'll be back as soon as possible! Please wait until then."
Aether nod and gave her a reassured smiled, she then leave in hurried so she will be home soon. Once Lumine left, he started having a cough feat, he cover his mouth using palm.

*leaned on the bed stand.*
He coughs starting to get worse.
Aether
(It hurts.... It hurts....)
He pulled his hand away from mouth when felt something trickle down from his mouth. His eyes widened and breath became more uneven.
He then struggle to get up and went to the bathroom. He throw up an amount of blood. Aether fell on his knees, his face got pale than before.

(Why is this happening to me?)
Everything went dark afterward.
She gritted her teeth in resentment, Lumine doesn't even know how she got into this situasion.
Man 1: Well, well look who we have here?
Man 3: We got ourselves a chick.
Man 2: And it's a beauty to add that.
Man 4: Hey, there beautiful lady. Why don't you go out with me?
The man gently hold her hand and kiss it, Lumine face twist into disgust.
Lumine
"Get away from me you freak! I need to get back home now, don't hinder me!"
She roughly pushed them away with all her strength but they seemed to tick up when Lumine ignored them.
Man 1: Oi! How dare you ignored us?
Lumine
"Shut up. I don't have time wasting with you."
She claimed in cold voice, Lumine proceed to leave but once again she stopped by them. One of the man use his Geo power to trapped her in prison.
Man 3: Who said you can leave?
Lumine
"You getting on my nerve you know?"
Her eyes hidden behind hair before she can do anything, someone interfere them.
Barbara
"What are you doing? Harassing her like that?"
Barbara
"I do not tolerate such behaviour, let her go at once. Unless you want your punishment become heavy."
They hurriedly freed Lumine and bow at the latter.
Man 2: We sorry miss Barbara this won't happend again!
They then run away. The girl named Barbara just shook her head with a slight frown before approaching Lumine.
Lumine
"Yea, I'm fine. Thank you, I really need to go back now."
Barbara
"If you don't mind, I'll follow you until you reach home. I don't want another man harassed you again."
Lumine
"Is it okay? I mean you must be busy, I don't want to disturbed you."
Barbara
"Don't worry, I just finished my work. Let's go?"
Lumine
"Alright, thank you."
Once they arrived, Lumine quickly entered while welcoming Barbara on her way in. She then proceed to went the room, she already feel uneasy since she on her way home. Lumine roughly opened the door only to see it empty, she began to panic.
Lumine
"Onii-chan where are you?"
Her stepped stopped infront of the bath, something telling her that he is in the bathroom. Lumine instinctively opened it.
Her eyes widened in shock before running toward him.
Lumine
"Onii-chan! Wake up onii-chan!!"
Barbara
"What's wrong?! I heard you screaming just now!"
Lumine
"B-Barbara-san...."
Barbara
"Let's carry him to bed first, I'll check if I can heal him. You bring warm water and small towel."
Without wasting anymore time, they carefully carried Aether body in eased since he is light. Lumine hurriedly went to the kitchen as what she ordered.
She slowly exhaled and use her Hydro into healing ability, she concentrate on heal him. Barbara can see how much Aether is sweating and his face showing so much pain.
Meanwhile in Aether sub-conscious,
Aether
"Where am I? Not this again..."
Aether frowned in displeased but this time everything around him is dark, it's an endless dark. Nothing more than that. Oddly he didn't feel scare of darkness instead he feel comfortable.
Though, it's changed when the couple he saw before in his dream appeared infront of him. His eyes widened, Aether swear they gave him a smiled. There is no one else aside from him.
Rillia
"Aether, I'm so glad you and Lumine are doing fine."
Aether couldn't even react the moment they suddenly pulled him into hugged. But he doesn't hate it, Aether slowly embrace them back.

"We're here not only to see you."
Aether
"What do you mean?"
They exchanged glance for a second and Aether caught it. The man exhaled heavily.

"We here to warn you Aether."
Rillia
"You do remember that you already see the important memory right?"
Rillia
"Those memory that you received are from the earring you wore."
Aether
*touch the earring on his left ear.*

"Because we already set on when the time is right. I'm afraid to say this is sooner than I thought..."

*grab Aether's shoulders.*
Rillia
"I didn't mean to stress you up but please... be careful."

"You need to control your power. You'll need it in the future."
Aether
"I'm scared, what if I accidentally killed someone? I'll never forgive myself if that happend."

"You will be fine. Believe in yourself okay?"

"We know you can do it Aether. You and Lumine are strong child. We believe in you."

*put both hand on his cheeks.*

"You not alone anymore right?"
Although it's only been few days, he is glad meeting other people other than Lumine and Xiao. They even care for his well being and that is enough to enlighten him.

"Please... Aether be careful, I beg of you..."

"Your life is on the line, if you didn't control it, the power inside you will kill you."

*close eyes before open back.*
Aether
"I'll try my best to control it."
Rillia
*smiled while nod her head.*
His vision get blurry and his head felt lightheaded, before he lose conscious. He heard their voices.
"We love you Aether, Lumine. Please take care, we'll be watching over you two."
Aether
*slowly opened eyes.*
He can feel tears escaped from his eyes.
Lumine
"Nii-chan...! Hic, onii-chan!!"
Lumine
"You scared me! Baka! Baka! Baka onii-chan!! You so mean for making me worried. Hic...."
Aether
*eyes turned glaze.*
Aether
*pat his sister hair trying to calm her down.*
Aether
"I'm sorry for worrying you again."
Venti
"Hah.... He finally awake, thank goodness."
Barbara
"That's good, I'm glad he is okay now."
Barbara
*turn to face Xiao.*
Xiao
"Thank you for taking care of them."
Barbara
"Oh, no! This is nothing, really! I want to help people as much as I can but I didn't expect that they're your siblings."
Xiao
"That is the least people would expect."

(I'm so glad you're okay Aether.... I don't want to lose another person in my life again. I swear, I'll protect you and your sister.)
