Ch 3 : Her Mentor

I thought I should give it a try and followed her to meet her mentor. I didn't had anything to lose anymore so I wanted to do anything to fulfill my dreams. We reached a studio which looked quite shabby. "This is the place", I was doubtful that if they can help me. "Believe me, come on". The recording studio was almost empty. There was a room which seemed a little better than the other rooms. She asked me to wait there and she is going to bring her mentor. I didn't had anything better to do and so , I pulled out my phone and started going through my social media accounts.

After an hour or something a young man who looked he was in his mid 20s came in and asked me, "Is this Alison?". "Yeah". "I am Alan". He extended his hand for a hand shake. "Nice to meet you". "Serena told me that you sing really well. Would you mind if I say I want to see it". "No problem". "Great. I will record it so please". He makes a gesture which Serena understands and takes me to the mic. I sang the same song which I had sung in the audition.

After the song was finished, he was silent and whispered something in Serena's ear and she looked excited as well as kinda sad. He then leaves the studio and she comes to me and says, "He loved it and says that really great and he will manage". "So your Senior wants to manage me". "He is my mentor not my senior. So it is huge". "Isn't he too young to be your mentor". "Even though he is seems young, he is really capable. He even managed big celebs like Silvia. I am really happy for you". "But isn't it unfair for you? You brought me here". "It's fine don't worry. By the way I will be your assistant manager so no big deal. I think we should celebrate". "We barely know each other". "Every friend starts out to be a strangers in the beginning". "Okay.... I guess". "Then let's go".

After somedays he called me to work on how to be famous. So I woke up early and got ready to go. Alan was there even though I was early. "Oh you are early. Serena is always late so we should begin". "I think we should wait for her". "Then you will here till midnight. There is a lot of work to do". " Okay then.... Let's begin". "So first let's think of a stage name because your your name is very common. Or you can just keep it if you want to it depends on you". "No I will change. I left everything before I came her. So a identity is nothing for me". "Okay then..... What should it be ? It should be catchy so that people can remember it". "What about Aurora?". "This is not Disney Land okay it is the entertainment industry. This is not a joke". "Do you know the actual meaning of Aurora ?". "The polar lights are known as Aurora". "It's not just the polar lights it represents how such beautiful lights shine in a place which is deserted, cold and dark". "My father always told me that I was his light and now I know what he meant". "Ok.......I think it's your talent which matters the most and if it is important for you than go for it". "Thanks for understanding". "It's ok. Then it's settled from now on you will be Aurora"
