Birthday

I opened my eyes and smiled. It was my special day. I checked my mobile phone and saw missed calls from Remi and some unknown number. There were many messages from friends and relatives. I called back Remi.

"Hey girl! Happy birthday!!"She said,laughing.

"Thankyou so much dear."

"So.. here's the plan.I will come to pick you up then we will go out to eat.We will skip our class today and have fun. What you say?" She was hoping for a positive reply as I never skipped my classes.

"Ok. No problem." I said without a second thought.

I got ready. I replied to all the messages and calls except the unknown number. My parents and my little sister wished me too. I loved the attention that I was getting. Birthdays are the best for this reason and ofcourse... Gifts!!

Remi came and hugged me tight. She wished me again and also greeted my parents.

"I hope it doesn't rain today" I said worriedly. I loved rains but not on my birthday.

"Chill babe. I am with you. No one can make you upset today." Remi tried to cheer me up.

We decided to go at here place and order pizza. We danced, watched movie and laughed at our silly jokes while eating pizza. It was time for my birthday party. I wore a fancy blue top and paired it with jeans. My outfit was looking great on my slender figure. I was satisfied with the look. I didn't really like applying makeup but Remi forced me to apply some makeup. She got ready. We both wore our hair down.

It was a surprise party for me so I didn't know about anything. She took me to a fancy cafe and told me to wait outside. After few minutes she waved at me. I went in and *shocked* omg!!!!

I saw my friends. I was in tears..I hugged her and thanked her. My friends wished me. We all had a great time. We clicked many pictures. It was the best day.

While going back home, it started to rain...

"Ahh, now my birthday is complete. By the way, thanks for coming after the party." I said, looking up at the sky and feeling the rain drops on my face.

We both were almost drenched in the rain. I went home. Mom and dad scolded me for not carrying the rain coat.

I washed up ,dried my hair and lay on the bed.

"That was a long day..I'm tired." I unlocked my mobile phone to see the photos. I was smiling and laughing."It was a great day" My phone started to vibrate and I saw the same unknown number flashing on the screen . I decided to recieve the call.

"Hello. Who's this?" I asked cautiously.

".........." no one answered.

"Hello?? Can you hear me?"I said.

I was about to hang up. And suddenly I heard a fimiliar voice. " Happy birthday Ash."

I got goosebumps as I realised who it was. I wanted to hung up and block the number.

" I hope you enjoyed and sorry for calling you so late." It was my ex. Tears rolled down my cheeks.

"Don't ever try to contact me." I said blankly and hung up before his reply. I switched off my mobile and started crying. It was a beautiful day..why did it ended up like this?? I cried to sleep...
