Episode 5 - The Confession

It was 10:00 in the evening.

The visitors were gone home.

Aubery was still in the Villa drinking a glasses of wine in the balcony. He saw the entire view of the Villa since the lights were still on. The scenery was beautiful. A cold breeze touched his skin. "It's getting cold, let's go inside" Maggie yelled few meters away. He held the glass and poured the wine. Maggie walked towards him. "Hey, you want some?" he offered. "Sure" she answered. He first drunk the wine and then he poured another wine in his glass and gave it to Maggie. "Aren't you afraid you'll get germs from my saliva?" he giggled. "HAHAHA, You are crazy" she laughed.

Maggie began to speak.

"It's really amazing to fall in love, isn't it? Hmmm. We were friends since childhood up until now. We even know our dirty little secrets. Aub, I want to share a secret with you" she said. "What is it? You are really serious today, uh? Is it about the man you like? Make sure he is better than me or else I will turn him down. Hahaha" he laughed out loud. Aubery was really protective back then. He would always dislike her suitors so Maggie will turned them down and asked them not to bother her anymore. In short, she has no boyfriend since birth.

"My heart is pounding excessively when I am with him. I don't know what to do whenever I'm with him. I get nervous and anxious. It's like I am always lost. I like him very much and I don't want to miss the chance to tell him what I feel for him. I tried to stop myself and set aside my feelings but I can't do it. I realize that it's not just about liking him its beyond that. I love him" she was feeling nervous and her voice was shaking.

The atmosphere changed. "Hmm.. Have I met him? Who is that man?" he asked in curiousity. "You do know him well" she replied. "Is it Oscar?" he asked. "Are you that numb?! It's you, Aubery!" Maggie yelled. He swallowed his saliva. He can't believe that Maggie's in love with him. " Are you drunk?! Don't fool me around.. You!" he replied. "I love you, Aubery Auburn. You are the person I love for a long time" she answered. "No! This.. you can't love me. I can't do the same with you. You deserve someone better. You are just confused" he replied. "But Aubery?" she uttered. "Maggie, do you understand? I can't and I don't want to accept that love of yours! You can give it to anybody but not with me" he yelled.

Maggie was crying in rejection and embarassment. She was hurt by Aubery's words. She can't believe that Aubery won't accept her confession. Her heart was pierced with a knife. "Please tell Auntie and Uncle, I'm heading home" he walked away. "Aubery! Aubery!" shebcalled him but he didn't turn around. He must be angry. He went straightway to the garage and started the engine. Maggie saw him drove away, far away from the Villa.
