The accident

About 45 minutes later, she received a phone call from the hospital.

"Hello?" Seo-Yeon said

"Ms.Lee your fiancé..."Said a hospital staff.

"What happened to him?" She said worriedly

"He....He got into an accident..."

"Which hospital is he in?" She said reaching for her car key.

"Dong University hospital."

Seo-Yeon hung up and rushed to her car. She speeds to the hospital.

"I'm here for Kwon Hye-Suk." She asks the nurse

"He's in surgery right now you can wait outside."

"Thank you"

She rushed to Hye-Suk's surgery room. Minyung, Hye-Suk's assistant was standing next to the surgery room door.

"Hello, Ms.Lee"

"Is he okay?"

"We are not sure..."

"What happened?"

"After he dropped you off, he drove back to the company to finish some work. On his way there, another car drove right into him. The driver was drunk and sleeping."

She was wordless,

"Take a seat Ms.Lee, Mr.Kwon will surely be fine."

Hesitantly, she took a seat. Then a nurse ran out anxiously.

"Mr.Kwon is loosing too much blood, our type O blood is running out, do you know anyone with type O blood that's willing to give their blood to him?" The nurse asks

"I'll do it." Seo-Yeon stands up.

"Please come this way and put on the gown, well do a direct blood transfusion."

"Okay"

Seo-Yeon went inside. After what felt like hours, the doctor stepped outside.

"How was the surgery?" Miyung asks

"It was successful, Mr.Kwon is recovering. Ms.Lee however is unconscious after the blood transfusion, she should be conscious again soon. We've transferred them to room 306"

"Thank you" Minyung bowed.

"Mr.Kwon?"Minyung stands up on the side of his bed, positioning the pillows to where Hye-Suk could comfortably sit up.

"What happened?" Hye-Suk asks

"You got into a car accident, so you had to have surgery, your surgery went well. But during the surgery, the hospital type O blood supply was running low so Ms.Lee agreed to give to you her blood. And she been unconscious every since the surgery." Minyung informs Hye-Suk

"Where is she?" Hye-Suk said trying to stand up but failed.

"Please stay seated, you're still recovering." He adds "Ms. Lee is right over there. Her brother just left before you woke up."

"She gonna wake up right?"Hye-Suk ask concerned

"We don't know, she's supposed to be awake after 2 days but it been a week. The doctor said we'll just have to wait and see. But don't worry, Ms.Lee will definitely wake up once you recovered."

"Alright."

"Let me get you some food."

"No I'll just rest for a while."

"Okay"

Hye-Suk recovered after five weeks in the hospital. But still, five weeks after Hye-Suk's recovery, Lee Seo-Yeon was still unconscious.

"Lee Seo-Yeon, please wake up. There are so many things I want to tell you. Don't leave me here okay?" Hye-Suk said

He has been taking care of Seo-Yeon ever since his recovery.

"Why is she still unconscious?" Hye-Suk asks the doctor

"We tried our best to understand why but it's still a mystery." Said the doctor

They both sigh. And so Hye-Suk continue to take care of Seo-Yeon until one day...

Beep Beep beep beep beep Beeeeeeeeeeep. The heart monitor reads a flat line.

"HER HEART STOPPED BEATING." Hye-Suk yelled out.

In a blink of an eye, doctors rushed in with different machines trying to get Seo-Yeon heart beating again. It felt like hours until they came back out.

"Is she okay?" Hye-Suk asks

The doctors, with a sad look on their face

"We've tried our best..." said one of them
