HIDDEN ANGEL

"Seriously, do you think an angel is bound to solve every little worry of yours?"

Claudia had exclaimed, she was standing in front of him like giving him some tutorial lessons. Lewis just quietly sat in front of her with a depressive expression written on his face.

He had tried to ignore Devison's words of yesterday, but his heart couldn't let go the painful memories, and each word rang in his head like a bell.

" Come on Lewis Mingfred, cheer up and don't be a fantasised coward."

"Cerainly not, that's not me at all. It's not like I actually needed to see an angel physically."

OK I got it, you're actually expecting for a miracle. "

" Claudia ! "

Lewis was some how expecting a kind attention from her, because she had always comforted him that way and it always felt good to have her by his side for comfort.

"Listen to me Lewis, you don't expect a miracle to fall on your heard like rain. Your await might cause you a wasted life. Miracles are only meant for those who are ready to fight for it."

"Fighting for a miracle?"

"Yeah, you shouldn't expect victory without making up struggls to grab it. Of course your brother is best in all he does, so what next? Do you think he became oustanding just by sitting down like a rolling ball without air to support it?

" Yeah but."

"Nothing else, you have to know that in this world we are all compared to footballers in the field. Each of us struggle not only to score a goal, but to be we also have the objective to accomplish something great. Opposite from cars who need fuell and ball that needs air. We can still succeed with hardwork and determination, because we can't expect a car ride in all by itself.

Her words were so captivating that it went deep into his heart. It was like a sort of food and sunlight where there was no light. She stood right in front to encourage him as hard as she could.

" Claudia, do you know what?"

"No, tell me."

" I thought I needed the appearance of an angel to help me regain my strength and confidence in myself. But it seems the angel had been with me all these while."

" What are you insinuating."

"Nothing, I just happen to have found my angel."

" What crap are you talking about, What angel are you referring to?"

" The angel that had always protected me, I'm talking about you, Claudia."

" Stop spouting nonsense, do I look like an angel with wings or what?

" That's not the point, I just know you always save me and look after me during my painful moments and I'm highly flatterdd "

" No big deal, you are like an angel to me."

"Whatever, I just hope you won't return to depression."

" Cerainly not!"

At that moment Claudia was glad to have been of great help to Lewis.

That actually reminds her of her unstable life. Being just an orphan, Claudia had the opportunity to be adopted and she now had a brother and parents of her own.

However, things didn't turn out as she had always imagined, her adoptive parents became wild. She could only take a distance from them and yet stay conneced to them. They were her parents afterall and she couldn't give up on them.

Even away from them, she logded with her busy elder brother who was nearly or almost never present for her.

Even this way, Claudia would always smile to the world and considered herself the luckiest girl with a family.

Back in the street, every student was dismissed to their various homes. The street was filled with students roaming about the street. Some walked in groups chatting with each other, yet the isolated students hurried to their destination.

Lewis and Claudia were one of those who also walked down the street, chatting over everything that came accros their minds.

She was laughing harmoniously at some jokes, not expecting to almost get knocked by a car that came out of the blue.

Claudia didn't know if she was to be blamed for her carelessness or the driver's clumsiness in driving.

The black 4x4 stopped in front of them, and slowly the louvers went down. But Lewis was more concerned with Claudia's well being and not the abrupt appearance of the car.

"Claudia, are you ok ?"

"Yeah, I'm fine, I was just taken off guard and it did shock me a little, but I'm fine. So there's no need to be worried over it."

At that moment, Lewis came out from the black car. He was definitely appologising for his clumsy driving, but as well praising his driving skills. It was like he was looking down on Lewis.

" You're definitely amazing and I'm glad you took an early break. Though I think it's not only all about talents or skills. It is all about having some sense of humanity in our principles."

"_Quite impressive Mrs..."

" I'm called Claudia and I heard you are Devison Mingfred."

" So, nice to meet you again, Claudia. "

At that moment, Claudia was stunned by the cozy personality standing in front of her.

He was totally different from the over bearing guy she had met in an awkward moment. It even seemed like that day had only been a nightmare soon forgotten.

In the other side,Lewis frowned and gritted his teeth with anger towards Devison's sudden arrival at his school.

"Tell me Devison, why exactly are you here, certainly not to pick me up from school I guess."

Lewis said firmly

" You know me too well, I just compelled myself to be here because my father needed us to come along. And since I'm in my good mood, I decided to come along by myself. But don't go misunderstanding my intentions. "

" You shouldn't have bothered yourself...."
