HE AND HIS BROTHER

At midnight, when the stars shun bright and cars moved less, yet all participating to each other's direction. The melodious birds had given way to the night bird who roamed arround in the dark with their round large eyes searching like a torch light.

During that nocturnal moment, no one dared put a step out, with fear of receiving unpleasant surprises. However, not every place was thought dangerous and not every nocturnal environment had a bad aura.

It was actually at that moment that peace reign outdoors and indoors. Devison savoured each of that quiet moment with great pleasure, as only clicks could be heard in his study.

Desison was very busy working on his project when Lewis took the initiative to permit himself in.

Devison's mood darkened at the moment he saw Lewis in his study, though he still continued working on his laptop, without lifting up his head.

" I don't remember when I actually permitted you in my study!"

Devison said still concentrating on his work, he gave no moment of attention to Lewis, like he was a worthless think obscuring his life.

"Sorry if I came in without your permission, but I also know you would never let me in even if I had asked for your permission. So I took the initiative to come in by myself. I also know that our relationship as brothers has never been a beautiful epitome of fraternity and you..."

"Cut the crap! Since you know all these so well, why do you keep bothering me?Do you think because I permitted you to lodge with me means I'm trying to fix our relationship as brothers."

"If that's not it, then why did you..."

"I don't like you and I'll never like you, but that's not a reason for me to bring myself so low creating a bad image in the eyes of others. You choosed this life, so be ready to bare the consequences of your actions."

" Why are you so cruel towards me."

" Don't compare me with cruelty, because the real cruelty is the vicious homewrecker you have as a mother."

"Don't include my mother in this!"

"She included herself from the day she became a traitor and snatched her best friend's husband."

"Devison you..."

"Give me a break, I'm sick of listening to your horrible noise. I'm going to bed. so you can decide to do same or not. That would be none of my concern. But you should think of going to bed and prepare for school, since that's the only way to avoid your illitracy level from scoring an oscar."

"I'm not an..."

"An illiterate, of course, you're just a copy cat , however you would never reach my knee in perfectionism."

"Ain't you thinking too high of yourself?"

"Maybe I'm just thinking you're worth nothing."

Devison proudly walked away leaving Lewis speechless. Lewis gritted her teeth and anger burnt in him, yet he could only dissolve it in his heart.

However, he had to admit that Devison had always been good in Whatever he did. No matter what he did Devison always stood at the top.

Lewis' hard work seemed vain, because Devison always won over him in every situation.

All by himself he built his empire and his life success had nothing to do with his father. Though Devison was the real heir to the Mingfred's fortune, he didn't have to depend on that wealth.

Devison was like a bird who had learned to fly by himself, sparkled with beautiful colors of the butterflies.

"Just tell him what I've told. I need he and his brother here by tomorrow."

An old man leaning unto a walking stick,his hair was almost completely grey . He dropped his phone and sat down in dissappointment.

Next came an aged woman of about fifty, with her followed a maid dressed in purple uniform. Her uniform was decorated with white strips and a white apron above it.

She approached the old man who was at his fifties and dismissed the maid after she had served some water and kept some capsules on the office table.

Depicting from the affection the woman showed to the limping old man, it was clear that they were perfect couples.

It was actually Nelson Mingfred and his wife Isabelle Mingfred.Their relationship was the right one between a wife and a husband, However, their relationship was bothered by a hollow of their past.

A hollow that caused a split in their family's relationship till date. Nelson. never gave up in his family and tried to repair the mistakes of his past, yet all in vain.

Devison was the clear prove that his efforts were all vain as each year elapsed . Isabelle also tried to help each time, but how could thesame fuel that caused the fire be used to quench it.

Isabelle was a determined woman and she was always ready to bear any hardship with her husband.

"Where you able to contact him?"

Isabelle said touching his shoulder.

"Unfortunately, I couldn't contact him, but I sent a message with hopes he won't turn it down as ussual."

Don't worry my love, I know he won't turn you down, because he still loves you so much. I know I'm his only trouble, but I won't give up on him till he accepts me."

"You're so kind, Isabelle. I know everything hasn't been an easy task for you, yet you never gave up on him."

"Because he's your son and I know how important he is to you , so I won't give up on him. Afterall he's the only child from my best friend and I also consider him as my son.

" Thanks for your support Isabelle."

Nelson felt warm with the encouragements and support of his wife. He knew that wasn't the solution to all his problems. All he ever needed was just an angel that would show him the right direction to light his world.
