Episode 3

Hayley's POV

I arrive at the place 8:07 and he was not there. Like what I said to him earlier, I will wait.

8:20pm

8:40pm

9:00pm

9:30pm

10:00pm

I'll continue to wait until he will come. I know he will come. Just have to wait a little longer. I know he will-

10:05pm my phone buzz. I fished it out of my pocket and see a notification in one of my social media accounts.

It was him. Together with the kid and the lady earlier. The 3 of them are happy in the picture.

The caption says, "Ulric Johnson, the CEO of JEmpire is happily taking off his week together with his family."

Family? He has family now.

Just as a tear escape from my eyes, the rain poured down. Seems like it is sad for me also.

So this is why he didn't come.

He has family now.

He is happy.

I started walking home soak with the rain. Thankfully I got home safely and I cried my heart out again.

I was too late.

I am always late.

Why am I always late for him?

I cried without changing my wet clothes. I cried until I fell asleep.

When I wake up, I'm not shock that I have a fever. I called the hospital and told them my condition right now. They said its okay since my excuse is valid.

I somehow manage to get myself change and then I lay again on my bed. I didn't eat breakfast because I'll just fell down whenever I tried to stand.

When it was almost lunch, my fever went down a little so I tried my best to stand and went to the kitchen.

I just prepare a soup for me. When I was done eating, somebody knock the door so I slowly went and open it. Only to find out it was Ulric. He open the door wide and get inside uninvited.

"Why are you not in the hospital?!" He yelled at me.

"Im sorry sir. Im not feeling well." I said with a low voice.

"Not feeling well? Maybe you're planning to disappear again! Am I right?!" He shouted again.

"I waited for you last night until the rain got me." I said not looking to him.

"T-the rain started at 10pm."

"I was still waiting for you."

He suddenly touch my forehead.

"I-im sorry. I wasn't able to come because-"

"No. Its okay. I understand. Now if you'll excuse me. I really need to take a rest." I said dismissing him off

"I'll stay here."

"Please go home." I dont want him to stay. He has his family now. I dont want to break his family.

"Then before I'll go, explain your side."
