A sweet melody

* Huff huff...*

Alex was running at his full speed as he is again late for school on the second day. It was a pleasant morning but perhaps not for Alex who has been having a hard day since the morning. First he got to see that strange dream once again which left him all restless early in the morning. Then he got into a fight with his father over the topic whether dogs are more loyal or cats. He himself is a dog lover and did not like the fact that bitch is an insult to humankind. To add to his misery he had to bear the ranting of her mother who was angry because the loverival in her favourite drama series succeeded in making ml believe that fl is a bad guy. He was feeling sad for those poor tomatoes and potatoes who had to endure those brutal cuts of his mother's anger.

" Atlast..i made it...", Alex shouted while panting heavily looking at his watch as there were still 5 minutes left before the school would start

Alex ( in mind )- " i wish i could make some friends today...i was too shy to talk to anyone yesterday and classes went back to back to even talk to someone "

With this thought Alex went to his class and sat on an empty seat next to a girl with a round face and brown hair. She wore specs and her eyes were fixated on her book like she was some predator and the words in the book are her prey. She was ready to pounce on the book anytime to swallow each word and savour its taste till the end.

" so a monster nerd huh ", Alex mumbled with an amusing look over this hilarious thought and took out his notes

Before he could speak anything, teacher started rapping his ruler on the table and began the lesson in a very hoarse voice which was nothing less than a pain to his ears.

After the torture of about 2 hrs...he finally came out of the class heaving a sigh of relief. He then decided to go to the canteen to answer the calls of the jumping rats in his stomach.

* 🎵🎶♩🎵🎶♩🎵🎶♩🎵🎶♩🎵🎶♩*

On his journey to the canteen he was suddenly interrupted by a sweet and melancholy melody. He could not help but start looking around in the direction from where the voice was coming. He started floating with the tune. It was as if it electrified every single hair on his skin and pierced down his bones to gently touch the soul. It was a mixture of immense expression of solitariness and unexpected calmness.

" What is this beauty ", gasped Alex who forgot everything about his growling stomach and jumping rats.

It was as if there was nothing but water all around him and he was going down and down deep inside the ocean with every note of the tune where he could sense the depth of his identity and existence. It was so peaceful. Alex unknowingly started walking towards the origin of this melody.

What is waiting for him ahead ? will this change the life of Alex ? 😀
