Chapter 6

Crystal's POV:

"Daddy, is that you?", came a voice from inside as I heard some footsteps coming towards us. A small boy came and hugged Alex. "Crystal, this is my son", said Alex as I saw the kid's face. It was Alen.

"What? Alen is your son?", I asked him with wide eyes. "You know him?", he asked. Alen got down from Alex's arms and came running towards me. "Pretty lady, you're here", Alen came and hugged me.

"You know her, Alen?", asked Alex. "Daddy, she's that pretty lady who saved me that day from those bullies", Alen said with a wide smile. I didn't know how to react. Should I be happy or sad?

"Thank you for saving Alen", Alex said with gratitude. "No need. I can't see when someone bullies weak people around", I said with a smile. "How do you know pretty lady, daddy?", Alen asked looking at Alex.

"She's my boss", Alex said. Alen looked like a mature boy who seemed to understand everything. I don't mind if my baby has a kid or was married earlier. Isn't it good that his son already likes me? Now I can get more close to my baby.

"What would like to have?", Alex asked me. "Anything made by you", I said with a wide smile. He nodded and went to cook while I was playing with Alen. He is so cute. I helped him to do homework.

Suddenly my mobile rang. It was my mom. "Yeah, mom?", I asked as soon as I picked. "Where are you?", she asked. "Why mom? What happened?", I asked acting oblivious.

"You know what happened. Stop acting. Why are you not attending the party?", she asked. I sighed and said, "Mom, I just don't want to. I'm having dinner with someone. Talk to you in the morning", I said and hung up.

I went to the kitchen to help Alex even though I was nowhere near being someone who actually goes to the kitchen. Alex said I don't have to help him so he asked me to sit and talk to Alen. After about an hour, Alex came and said, "Dinner is ready." I smiled and walked to the dining table. It was a simple four seater dining table unlike my home's dining table that is for 20 people.

"Wow, you prepared so much", I said looking at the dishes on the table. "I should treat you properly as you promoted me", he said with a smile. "You don't have to do it. You were promoted because you deserved it", I said with a wide smile.

Alex served me and Alen and also himself. I helped Alen eat. "Daddy, pretty lady is so nice. She helped me and you too", Alen said looking at Alex who gave a nod with a smile. "Pretty lady, thank you so much", Alen said. "EnEn, don't thank me. I help people who are good to others", I said as I wiped his mouth with a tissue.

We finished our dinner and were sitting in the living room. I and Alen sat on the couch while Alex sat on a chair as there was no other couch. We talked about some business for a while as it was getting awkward. Suddenly my mobile rang, I was really angry as no one is letting me spend time with my baby.

"What is it?", I said in anger without looking at the caller ID. "Where are you now?", came an old voice. I looked at the Caller ID and was regretting picking the call now. "I'm at my friend's place, grandpa", I said in a low tone.

"Okay, why didn't you attend the party today?", he asked. "I had some work. Wait... did you come back?", I asked. "Yes and I hoped to go there with my sweet granddaughter but she is not having time for me", he said in a sad tone.

"Oh, grandpa. It's not like that. If I had known earlier, I'd have come", I said. "Okay, come home early and take care. I'll meet you in the morning", he said and I greeted him good night and hung up. I looked at Alex who was staring at me all the time.

"I'll make a call", I said and went towards the window in the room. "Idiot, you always have time to call and annoy me but why didn't you tell me that my grandpa was here", I whisper yell at the person. "Come on, Crysie. You wouldn't have believed me even if I'd told you", came the voice from the other line.

"Okay, okay. How about we to the club tomorrow?", I suggested. "Great. I'm in", he said with excitement. "Okay, call the others too", I said to Charles. "Yes. By the way, why didn't you come to the party today? Everyone is missing you here", he said.

"I went for dinner with someone", I replied as a smile appeared on my face. "Who?", he asked. "You future brother in law", I said and he teased me. "Shut up", I said and hung up. He texted me to bring Alex with me tomorrow. 

"Alex, will you come with me and my friends to a club tomorrow?", I asked as I turned to Alex. "But Alen...", he looked at Alen who was staring at me. "Don't worry. My mom will take care of him", I said and Alen immediately smiled widely. I texted Charles that Alex is coming.

"I'll stay with granny tomorrow", he jumped up and down as Alex gave a nod to me. I smiled widely too. "Okay, then. I'll take my leave now", I said and turned to leave after saying goodbye to Alen. I was just about to open the door when Alex spoke, "It's late and not safe for you to go now. Why don't you stay here tonight?"

Unsafe for me? I wanted to laugh at that but I was touched by his concern filled look. "But is it okay?", I asked and he nodded. I smiled as I got the chance to stay at his home. I informed my bodyguards that I'd be staying here and asked them to tell mom that I'm staying at a hotel tonight. If I tell her thee truth she will make a fuss out of it.

"Can I take shower?", I asked. "Sure. I'll put Alen to bed then", he said going to the second room while I went to the bathroom. It was nothing compared to my large luxurious bathroom but I like it. I took shower and wrapped a towel around my body. I forgot that I don't have any clothes to change.

I came out to see Alex in the living room. He stared at me with wide eyes but turned quickly. "I don't have any change of clothes", I said to him. "There are some clothes of my wife that she left. You may wear that", he said and ran to a room.

I wore a shirt that was kept on the couch. It was a bit loose to me around my waist. I put on the pant kept there. "You can sleep in my bedroom", Alex cleared his throat from behind. I turned to him.

"Where would you sleep then?", I asked. "On the couch", he replied pointing to the couch. "No no. You can't sleep here. I'll leave now, you go back to your room", I said in a panicked tone. "No, it's ok. You can sleep in my room", he said and after arguing for a while I agreed.

I went to his room and laid on the bed that had his scent. I snuggled more into the blanket and sniffed his scent. Soon, I drifted off to sleep.

Next day when I got up, I was greeted by a smiling Alen. I smiled back and said, "Good morning, little EnEn." I got up from the bed and went outside the room to find Alex cooking in the kitchen.

"Good morning", I greeted. "Good morning", he said with a smile. "Your bodyguard gave me a set of clothes for you. It's on the couch", Alex said and I nodded. "I'll go take shower then", I said and went to the bathroom.

I took a shower and wore my clothes which was white floral cami dress with white sneakers. I walked out of the bathroom and went to the kitchen. "I must say you're a great cook", I said eating the cheese omelet. "Thank you", he said with a smile and I smiled back at him.

After the breakfast, I was ready to leave. "I should leave now. See you in the evening", I said turning around to leave. "Oh yeah. I'll pick you up at 7 pm", I said to him. "No, no. It's ok. Just tell me the address, I'll come on my own", he said.

"Okay, Blue star pub. This is the card, take this or else they won't give you the entry", I said handing him a card of that pub. It was a VIP membership card. "Pretty lady, can I go with you?", Alen asked as he held my hand. I looked at Alex.

"You shouldn't disturb her, Alen", Alex said. "No, that's fine", I said. "Please daddy", Alen requested. "Okay, but don't mess around", Alex said and Alen nodded vigorously. "Don't worry. Alen is a very good boy", I said looking at Alen who was smiling.

We reached my mansion and took Alen inside with me. Mom was happy to see him and he too ran to her as soon as he saw her. "Who's he?", asked Sean. "I saved him last time and we are close now", I said and he nodded.

"He's so cute", Roslin said pinching his cheeks. "You're also cute", Alen replied.

"So you're here", came a familiar voice. I turned to see my grandpa. I ran to him and hugged him. "How have you been grandpa?", I asked as I pulled back. "So you remember me?", he asked. "Oh, grandpa. How can I forget you?", I asked.

"No, I thought you forgot me since you didn't came last night", he said. "I'm sorry, grandpa but I had some work", I said. He nodded in understanding. "Who's this little prince?", grandpa asked looking at Alen. I was happy to see them get close to him as he's gonna be the family member soon.

We were all talking when I got a call. "Princess, our base is attacked", the person on the other line said. I looked at my dad and brother who seemed to know it already. I quickly changed my clothes and wore a shorts with black crop top and jacket with black boots. I put knife on one side at the back and a gun on the other side.

"Everything alright?", mom asked. "We'll be back", I replied and started to walk but mom stopped me. "You won't go. I can't let you risk it", mom said. "Mom, if you want to pray just pray from them and hope that I won't give them a painful death", said and ran outside.

We reached our base and found some people there. Some of our people were injured while some were of the other gang. Who dared to attack us?
