episode 12
Finally my semester has finished, and right now I am inside a local train... umm it's the fastest means of transport to reach Lucknow from Varanasi...
My mom was so against this idea, she fears a lot but thanks to my dad... I was able to convince mom to let me take a train.
It took almost six hours or so to reach Lucknow through roadways and it takes four and half hours by railways.
Mom suggested me to use chopper instead... but I am not 'Rahul' from 'Kabhi khushi kabhi gham' I don't want my first appearance in front of my bhabhi to be like his.
Okay jokes apart... I am very much excited to meet my bhabhi but nervous at the same time as if someone has asked me to give a surprise test and I am unaware about the answers.
Myra said she is kind hearted polite and humble with her words while I am nothing but a total bratty girl. I hope she won't find me as a nuisance.
The train stopped at Lucknow station and Rakesh chacha who happens to be our driver was beside me all this while due to my mom's insecurity.
But little did she know that her daughter has mastered the art of traveling in jam- packed local trains this is just nothing but I can't reveal this to her. So let me pretend it's my first time in a train.
I quickly stepped out of the train while carrying my one and only suitcase. Rakesh chacha insisted on carrying it but I refused him to do so.
We walked through platforms and finally made it outside. The weather is refreshing and a little chilly after a good amount of downpour.
The earthy smell of rain and cool breeze blowing before it hits my nostrils. I inhaled a greedy breath of wet earth and closed my eyes. It smells.... heaven.
I decided to book a cab as if already knowing about my move my big bro texted me stating that he has send his driver to pick me up.
Soon I can see a black SUV coming towards my way. It stopped front of me the driver comes out and helps me with my luggage. Rakesh chacha settles himself in front passenger seat while I seated on back.
My nervousness is increasing with every passing minute....‘you are acting as if she is going to swallow you’ my subconscious mind mocked me.
I know she won't but still I am exhilarated, I can't subdue this feeling. My mind didn't spoke anything after that and rest of the journey went quietly.
Do guys love the earthy smell of soil after rain??... I love that smell a lot. :)
