Rekindling memories

Tae's POV

I caressed the photo of me and Kookie holding hands. I was overwhelmed with happiness just by looking back at the time when the two of us played together.

I still remember, the events of our past and that one point of time which changed our lives but also grew us more closer.

FLASHBACK~

After Taehyung's parents returned home

Tae's pov

I was sitting in my room with an injured hand and Kookie's handkerchief still in my hands when I heard someone talking, or better said, yelling down the stairs.

I went out and saw my parents were home but not in the mood I had expected them to be in.

They both were yelling at each other on, what I understood, business matter.

I quickly sprinted back to my room and closed the door.

After a while I had to step out because it was dinner time.

I went to dining table looking down. After a while mom's comment made me turn my head up.

"Honey what happened to your hand?" she asked a little bit worried.

"Must have injured himself while bathing again, right?" my dad said with sarcasm.

"Can you please shut your mouth for a moment. So where did you injure yourself?" she turned back to me after snapping on dad.

"I-I got i-injured while playing" I stuttered fearing of their reaction.

"Okay its normal. But it is treated right?" she said calmly and I was surprise she didn't shout.

"Yesh mom!" I said.

I then asked her if I could go to the park daily. And to my surprise, she agreed right away.

"I want my child to have a friend as he grows up" this was her last line as she glared at dad.

At that moment, dad got furious and got up without even finishing his meal.

After dinner I went to my room as cheerful as I could ever be.

I was happy just because I could meet Jungkook again.....

Next day...

Taehyung went back to the play ground, but with two bodyguards by his side.

"KOOKIE!!" Tae screamed as he spotted Jungkook.

"TaeTae!!" Jungkook screamed back waving his hands.

Taehyung got over to where Jungkook was and soon they started playing.

"TaeTae I brought someone for you to meet" Jungkook said in his cute lovely voice.

"Who??" Tae said curiously.

"Thish-" Kook said as he took out a cute little plushie from his backpack.

"Awwww it is soo cuteee" Tae said as Jungkook handed him his plushie.

"Hehe I know. That is why it is Kookie plushie" Jungkook said and smiled his bunny smile.

Tae was smiling like crazy seeing two bunnies at the same time.

Jungkook then said, "actually my mommy bought me two of these so I want to give you this one because you are my best friend."

Tae was dumbfounded. He was so happy that he engulfed Jungkook into a tight embrace.

"Ahh-h Tae I can't brweathe" Jungkook said smiling and whining at the same time.

Tae released him and then hugged 'his' plushie then.

"But I am cuter than Kookie plushie" Jungkook said pouting as Tae was hugging the plushie and not him.

"Hehe yes you are cuter~" Tae said and pinched his cheeks.

And as the day started to come to an end, they had to part and bid their goodbyes promising each other of meeting again tomorrow.

Days and weeks passed and the Two friends grew more and more closer.

They trusted each other with their lives and always stuck to each other in any condition.

On one rainy day, they were walking on the footpath near the street just goofing around.

Both of them had their hands intertwined with each other.

"Kookie look!!! A puddle!!" Tae said excitedly pointing towards the puddle on the edge of the street.

"Tae no it's on the street-" before Kook could even finish his sentence, Tae parted his hand and ran towards the puddle and jumped in it.

"Yay hey! C'mon Kookie momma!" he called for Jungkook.

But unfortunately he couldn't keep his balance and fell on his butt.

"Oh Tae bear!" Jungkook put his hand on his head and ran towards him.

Jungkook helped him up and laughed a little on him.

"Hey Kookie don't laugh!" Tae whined.

But one thing caught Jungkook's eyes.

He saw very bright orange lights sparkling from behind Taehyung. He couldn't see it properly because of the rain but understood what was coming towards them.

Jungkook held Taehyung's hands and pushed him off the street harshly. But unfortunately for him, no time was left....

*Tae's POV*

I was not understanding anything. Jungkook just pushed me off the street and I landed on my back. I whined in pain but when I saw a car striking at my best friend, all my own pain vanished.

I cried on my highest pitch,

"JUNGKOOK!!!"
