Prologue

At the Varia Empire

A Demon preached the empire to trail a certain offspring and entered the Queen's womb

And when the baby boy was born

The demon had already merged its way to the boy's head

Although the demon could not physically, mentally nor psychologically harm him

It was not certain that it would be the same to others

Even though there was no demonic activity that ever occured, it was no wonder that people would be afraid of him regardless

Tired of getting ordered around by his overprotective family, so protective even that the average people have forgotten about the prince

So August decided to sneak out of the Castle

And pretended to be a normal person

But just one night was all it took to witness the happiest moment of his life

Through the girl’s silly banter about, he was instantly fascinated. They first met each other at a booth called a talk-to-strangers at a carnival. With a black fabric between them preventing them from seeing each other faces, as they chat for a long time until he finally got to see her face and fell in love…

At the next day he continued to sneak out at night

And they continued to meet each other, trying to know more about each other any way they can

Unfortunately, no one could get away with anything for a long time. His parents eventually found out about this when a servant found him sneaking out of the palace. As a result, he was forced to stop from sneaking out from then on

And he never got out of the Castle for a month

The parents had some business at some other kingdom

And they planned to visit them

He was thrilled

He could finally meet his love again

After that night

He was so excited that he ran as fast as he could at the usual meeting place but he didn't find her there

So he wondered around and there he spotted his love but he stopped for a second

He saw her kissing another man at the gate

After the gate was closed he ran after her

The girl gave him a cold shoulder and said that she was already arranged marriage off to some other man she now truly love

He tried to convince the girl to run away with him

But she refused saying that she didn't love him anymore

She complained that he left her all alone every night and she couldn't take it anymore

And then she ran away

Heartbroken, he didn't return to the castle and slept in the woods

The whole kingdom jumbled everywhere to find the prince who ran away

After 2 days

They finally found the prince at the woods

With no food at all

The whole royal family was crestfallen as soon as they saw August

The boy must've starved for too long

They offered him a great feist for dinner but he refused

Saying that he had no appetite

The Queen couldn't take this sorry sight anymore

She tried to hug him but he rejected

Instead he got up to his chair and went straight ahead his room

He blamed his parents for locking him in the castle

He also couldn't take this sorrowful feeling, he hates it

He couldn't stop thinking of regretting

He could've just run away from the castle long ago

Maybe she would've loved him still if everything went differently

The King and Queen and the twins were worried about him

He didn't walk out of his room ever since yesterday

So the King went to comfort his son, understanding how everything went. He knew that the girl would be soon married off to some privileged aristrocat’s son and the young lady had no choice but to listen to her family either way

When the King opened the door

The Queen fell to the floor

The twins screamed and bawled

The King was frozen in his position

They saw his son hanged at his neck

The King quickly recovered and roared a command to get the physician

They took him out of the rope

Thank god he was still breathing yet it was faint

But it still appeased them

He could still be saved

But his breath run out and stopped along with his heart the next minute

And he died
