When the Sun Sets (KageHina) Kageyama X Hinata Chapter 6 "Leave it to us!" Hoshiumi assured Kageyama and it somehow brought solace to him. Ushijima patted his shoulders and gave him a nod. "Thank you..." Kageyama muttered before leaving the court, leaving the match. Everyone would think that Kageyama should wait until the match ends before he comes after Hinata. For him, Hinata's life is way more important to a match that could happen again. The days they'll ever spend were already limited. Kageyama doesn't care about the cameras, interviews, and the media coming after him as he hurriedly leaves the stadium. Thankfully, there were the National team members and staff to hold them back. Even though Kageyama knows they'll win, with Miya Atsumu replacing him with another killer serve, not to mention a match point. Kageyama's concerned about the consequences of his actions, thinking about the articles about him running away from a match point at the world cup. The attention is definitely on him—he knows that. So he asked Hoshiumi and Ushijima for help, diverting the attention onto them. Kageyama thought of ditching his career for the meantime. He thought of staying hidden to the matches as he took the fastest route to the nearest hospital. As he runs to the hospital, he can't stop worrying about Hinata. He kept thinking about the mental picture of him smiling before the disaster. Kageyama wanted to replace the thought, the picture of Hinata dying—his body on a casket. He doesn't want to think ahead, but he knows it will soon come to an end. For now, he wants to stay by Hinata's side and never leave again. He went to the nearby nurse station in the emergency room when he reached the hospital—barraging every bed as he gasped for air. The hospital's atmosphere made him dizzy, scared. Hospitals made him think about patients, sickness, pain. Just knowing that Hinata has these made him almost lose his mind. The nurse tries to calm Kageyama's nerves, trying her best not to put fuel on the raging fire. Kageyama can't contain his feelings inside. He wants to burst, see Hinata, and tell him that everything will be alright given the situation now. Kageyama exhaled, calming himself down. His emotions will only hold himself and Hinata back. He then asks for Hinata, and the nurse points it at the room at the end of the hallway. He rushed to the room and almost stumbled on his feet. He lost track of time when he realized he spent too much time at the nurse station. Kageyama blames himself, no one but himself. Kageyama opens the door and sees Kuroo standing beside the bed. Kageyama didn't want to look at it—at him yet. He hesitated, and he was not ready. He was never ready to accept it. His eyes transitioned to Kenma sitting on the bed, their attention fully concentrated on the person on it. "Kuroo-san, Kenma..." Kageyama's lips shivered as he spoke. The two turn to him, wearing the expression that conveys 'he's not dead, yet.' Kageyama was relieved. However, Hinata's condition was far worse than the first time he saw him. His heart seems like someone stabbed it as Kageyama went closer to Hinata and laid his eyes on him, not caring about every single bit the world gives or what was happening. It was just him, and Hinata. Hinata lay unconscious still. Machines were already fused on his body and from this day forward, it will be a part of him. Kageyama covered his mouth, preventing himself from crying again. He was never strong— in front of Hinata. Kageyama held Hinata's hand, now injected with an infusion needle, connecting to the dextrose, and other things implanted on his body—especially his head, connecting it to the machines next to him that will help him survive another day. Kageyama gasped as he convinced himself with one sentence. "He will get better." Hinata was barely keeping it. He isn't alright, but being there, breathing—alive made Kageyama sigh in both relief and pity. As long as he's alive. As long as Hinata's not conceding to the disease. Kuroo and Kenma stared at Kageyama silently, it was as though they could hear Kageyama's thoughts and feelings—they were the same. And they can't go back to what they were before. They decided to stay for Hinata. The deafening silence engulfed the room until Kageyama finally spoke, "What..." he clears his throat when his voice sounds more broken than he already is. "What happened to him?" He asked as he watched Hinata's chest going up and down slowly. His breathing was calmer than before because of the oxygen connected to his nose. It made Kageyama think that he was just sleeping. He's just sleeping—nothing more, nothing less. Only Kuroo can answer the question. He was right beside Hinata when it happened, he just called Kenma on their way to the hospital, which made Kenma abandon his duties, cancel his meetings, and went to the hospital in an instant. "He grabbed me..." Kuroo started, "It was too late before he said what was going on...when I turned to him... he was already on the floor—" Kuroo bypassed his eyes to Hinata, "With his hands on his head." Kageyama couldn't digest it all. And blamed himself for what happened, letting Hinata stay when he could collapse at any moment. "The doctors have to treat him now...before it's too late." Kuroo continued, Kageyama then turned to prior with an eyebrow raised. "What do you mean? I thought he's getting treatment?" "That's what Shoyo told you?" Kenma replied, knowing Hinata, he knows he still hid one thing from Kageyama. "Kenma, what are you talking about?" Kageyama sure was flabbergasted by the situation now added by the bad feelings forming in his heart. "I don't know if Hinata already said this to you. But, he already stopped his treatment a long time ago—" "Kenma!" Kenma stopped and the three averted their eyes to where the voice came from. A small gasp escapes Hinata as he slowly blinks, his eyes full of pain. His left hand was hoisted in Kenma's direction while the other hand was trapped by Kageyama's, warning Kenma not to say it. "Shoyo, you're awake now...don't exhaust yourself—" "What do you mean by this, Hinata?" Hinata seemed like could melt any second because of Kageyama's cold glare. A sickening atmosphere was felt inside the room with only the sounds of the machine beeping being heard. "K-Kageyama, I think it's alright now. Hinata is fine—" "Kuroo-san, Kenma, can you please leave the room for a moment? I want to talk to Shoyo." Kageyama sounds like he could burn the hospital any second, but he makes sure that it still sounds polite to make Kenma and Kuroo leave the room. Leaving the pair behind, Kageyama certainly lost his cool as he brought his attention towards Hinata. "Kageyama...I'm already fine." Hinata said, forcing his mouth to form those words. However, Kageyama will never be convinced by those lies. "Really? With your condition now? You've got to be joking." His voice carries force into it. Even if he doesn't want his emotions to burst now, even if it already happened—even if it's too late. He still thinks it's necessary to do this for Hinata to survive longer. "You know that this is the result of your actions right? Hinata, I'm trying my best to help you. I stayed because I want you to get better. But why did you still do this? You said you're scared of dying... Then why the hell did you stop taking treatments?!" Kageyama glared straight at Hinata's eyes, the eyes were full of emotions. It was as confusing as the weather outside. But it still conveyed one word: Pain. "Because it won't help any longer...the pain will still come back. I'll just waste my time getting treatments instead of spending my remaining time every day." "Still! It would ease the pain you experience every day!" Kageyama protested. He finds certain emotions in Hinata's eyes, but it was blank as if he found nothing but blackness in a dream. Kageyama's heart sank when he realized Hinata meant it. "Then...if I took those medicines every day and the pain would go away in the meantime...would you still stay? Would you still be by my side to comfort me? Because the result will stay the same...even if I get better for a moment... in the end, I'll still...die." Hinata turned his eyes to the window, hating the fact that they could no longer stop his fate. Right now Kageyama's the only one who can ease Hinata's pain. Not the therapies, not the surgeries, but him. But what if he's the one in pain too? "Shoyo." Kageyama's voice trembled, he blinked a lot, preventing his tears from falling. He wasn't used to this, he can't imagine himself getting used to seeing Hinata like this. He can't see Hinata and never saw like this—Kageyama least expects giving up from Hinata. But then he recalls, he wouldn't give up his treatments if he didn't give up a long time ago. Still. Even if Hinata doesn't, Kageyama would still hold on. Even if no one does, even if they were deprived by fate. "You lived for another 4 years, I know that you'll get well soon and live for the rest of your life." Kageyama held Hinata and squeezed it. Hinata turns his head to Kageyama, turning his eyes to their hands. He puts his left hand on top of Kageyama's and looks back at him. A faint smile formed in his dry lips, "Don't sugarcoat the truth, Kageyama. We can't do anything anymore. It's already decided. You can't hold on to the glimmer of hope that was gone a long time ago." That statement was ample reason to shatter Kageyama's heart—hope into pieces. "Then..." One of a million tears that wanted to drop from Kageyama's eyes escaped. "Please...stay alive for me...for Kenma and Kuroo...for your family..." "Please stay alive until I can accept our fate." Hinata wiped Kageyama's tears, and as long as he could, he wanted to smile for him every moment they spent together. "Of course. It's not the end yet." But even if he smiled, Kageyama finally saw through Hinata's eyes. It was seen now because of his pale face. It was brighter and clearer than any emotion he shows. It was the only one who will never change—will never fade from Hinata. It was the same for Kageyama. Those endearing eyes of Hinata's show how much he loves Kageyama no matter what happens.

When the Sun Sets (KageHina) Kageyama X Hinata Chapter 7 August passed without Kageyama noticing. It happened so fast and he wished he could slow down the time ticking. After that incident with Hinata, Kageyama never left his side. He even asked to leave temporarily while the world cup's ongoing. After all, he's confident Miya Atsumu could handle the team well, knowing that he's a setter that can bring 100% of his teammates. Every day, Ushijima and Hoshiumi would update him of their matches and training like Kageyama is their journal. A lot changed since then, and it was as though Kageyama became a resident in the hospital—it seems the doctors and nurses already know him, greeting Kageyama with a smile whenever he visits Hinata. There wasn't a time when Kageyama broke his promise. After several weeks, he already got used to Hinata's panic attacks, helping him overcome it every night—with Hinata clinging on to his arms as Kageyama lulled him to sleep, telling him that he will be alright. Hinata has changed a lot since then. He would be sleepy throughout the day but could barely sleep on nights—making his dark circles grow bigger. Still, the feelings he felt whenever he's with Kageyama were there. His body became gaunter than ever, losing many pounds every week. He would say jokes at random times—and his now frail, high-pitched tone that almost sounded like a whisper can still be heard throughout the room whenever there's dead silence between him and Kageyama. The past weeks were hard. Making up a conversation that could make Hinata livelier, averting his attention to Kageyama and not caring about his disease was hard. Even so, Kageyama did his best. Seeing Hinata alive is enough for him. Weak, but alive. He feels his heart lighter even if Hinata's sleeping, he's still there. And he would wake up in Kageyama's arms, spending the rest of their lives on another day with smiles shown on their faces. But it was before. Kageyama's biggest concern is if Hinata could handle the snowy and cold winter coming for them. Hinata would tremble with just the air in the room, and it worsens even when Kageyama opens the window. And he would just sleep for another day, still experiencing the hell he'd been through since day one. The only thing on Kageyama's mind was to keep Hinata from being bored. Sometimes, Hinata would tell him that he could see someone he's never seen before, and whenever there's silence engulfing the room, Hinata could hear voices among them. Kageyama thought about having someone accompany Hinata so he could prevent himself from his worsening hallucinations. Even for a little time. Even if no one does, he will be the one to take care of Hinata. "I see you've brought guests other than Kuroo-san and Kozume-san." Hinata's attending nurse, Hitomi, chuckled as she approached Kageyama after she left Hinata's room. Kageyama was right by the door, holding sunflowers—Hinata's favorite as he looks like the sun. Kageyama glanced at the new visitors, Ushijima and Hoshiumi then he laughed after, "Yes. I suppose someone needs to cheer for Shoyo, he could be bored and tired from seeing me every day. Same goes for Kenma and Kuroo-san too. So I thought I'm gonna need another loud person." His lips formed a grin as he laid his eyes on Hoshiumi, now raising his eyebrows then frowns after. "It's because it's been a long time since I've seen him! Of course, I want to at least visit him after playing matches! Right Ushiwaka?" Hoshiumi protested with his arms crossed. "Yeah..We've never really heard about you lately and the others were worried about you so Hoshiumi insisted on visiting to check you too." Ushijima agreed, wearing his same, usual expression. Kageyama always updates the two about Hinata's condition since Hoshiumi would never shut up about it—obviously worried about a person he barely knows but an instant friend of him and Ushijima. He already talked to his coaches and the other team members about it, asking to keep the situation private. Avoiding the media looking for him and temporarily avoiding volleyball. If he wants, he could leave the team he worked for all these years just to be with Hinata, but he knows he won't do that, or at least Hinata won't like him leaving the sport again. But it's been hard for them lately—Hinata especially. So this is the perfect time for Hoshiumi and Ushijima to visit when Kuroo and Kenma couldn't come along. After all that they've been through, Kageyama flashed a genuine smile on his face. "Thank you, guys." He said, including Hitomi. "Well, I've only realized I'm on your way...Hinata-kun is waiting for you inside...but he might really need you—your help." Hitomi slipped through and smiled at Hoshiumi and Ushijima. Kageyama glanced at the sunflowers bunched up together before opening the door, revealing an atmosphere he's never felt before and he could feel shivers on his spine when he saw Hinata sitting on the hoisted bed, looking far beyond the window. He seemed like he was deeply contemplating. Kageyama wants to rush to him and tell him he's there now and there's nothing to be afraid of anymore. "Hinata!" Hoshiumi came rushing to the cancer patient. His voice resonated throughout the room and instantly fought with the gloomy atmosphere surrounding a Monday morning. Hinata slowly turns his head as he hears the familiar voice he's never heard since the match against Brazil. Somehow, Kageyama's head feels lighter seeing Hinata's eyes lit up. It was bright like the sun now illuminating through the window and made the room serene. Hinata's smile was genuine seeing Ushijima and Hoshiumi visit him. "Hoshiumi-san, Ushijima-san! And...hmm, you're late." Hinata left a chuckle when his eyes stayed on Kageyama, bantering about it and a pout formed in his lips after. Hinata does this at random times, but Kageyama would like it, considering it has become so rare now. "These guys wanted to see you, especially this one." Kageyama beamed when he points at Hoshiumi now sitting at the bed in front of Hinata. Ushijima came closer to greet Hinata too, "We've brought some fruits and gifts too." Ushijima said, Hinata flinched a bit finding and recalling what Ushijima's voice sounds like. Months were like years to Hinata especially while experiencing major headaches, but it seems to pass when someone was there to accompany him. "Thank you, Ushijima-san, Hoshiumi-san." Hinata's eyes were seldom seen because of his smiles despite his pale snow face. That statement carries a double meaning, thanking them a million times in his head for coming on another "hell-like" day. "I'm getting bored just by seeing Kageyama's face every day." Hinata proceeded with a wide grin as he averted his attention on the latter who's now filling the vase with the sunflowers he brought near the window. He'd always brought a set of sunflowers for Hinata every day, to light up the room's atmosphere and Hinata won't be bored or alone whenever he's in pain and that he could take care of it and make it a hobby every day. It was just a simple thing. But it was a big help to Hinata and for Kageyama, now that things are getting worse. "Oh? But you seem to miss me when we came earlier, 'you're late' huh?" Kageyama banters back, imitating Hinata. "Hey, hey! We're being left out here, lovebirds! We're the special guests here!" Hoshiumi waved his hands in the air, riveting. Laughter escaped all of them and the room was different from before. It found a new kind of atmosphere and their voices could be heard from the neighboring rooms, mainly Hoshiumi since he was the most talkative and Kageyama when he was bantering with Hinata. The four of them talked, keeping Hinata company making him feel like he found new companions—new friends and it was as though he knew Hoshiumi and Ushijima for a long time, setting aside the cruelty of his fate. "Man! If only you saw Bokuto-san doing a chest receive! It was so cool and his razor-line shot was awesome too! And oh! Have you seen Atsumu doing a setter spike?" Hoshiumi's mouth was non-stop. Hinata had no choice but to listen, he finds it difficult to form words now but it's mainly he forgets what he wanted to say but can't clearly say it because of Hoshiumi. He wanted to say compliments, questions but he'd just admired the stories and try to visualize them as long as he could. Ushijima then demonstrates how Atsumu did it and the two were full of amazement. "Ushiwaka's aces against Canada were so epic, he literally crushed them on the final set!" Hoshiumi complimented Ushijima, he doesn't know what to do or say at this moment so he just describes his spike for Hinata, making Kageyama burst into laughter as Ushijima imitates the face he made while doing powerhouse serves. "Hmm, but you know...there's something incomplete whenever I play." Hoshiumi glances at Kageyama who's wearing a flabbergasted expression to him. "Is it because I'm not there?" "Aside from that obviously," Hoshiumi said, "It's just..giant players don't seem to faze me anymore. I'm not afraid to play against them because I wanted to beat them, even if 8-feet ghosts were my opponents." Their eyes were laid on Hoshiumi as he turned to Hinata and the conversation started to slip and change direction. A small gasp escaped Kageyama. "Tall players are boring to face now and it's hard to find a worthy opponent. Nothing intimidates me more than you in volleyball, Hinata." Hoshiumi confesses, and it's probably the same for Ushijima too when he nodded. Kageyama reminisces himself in Hoshiumi, feeling the emptiness inside whenever he plays. His spikers weren't the same as Hinata, and he'd always find him in them—but they'd never be Hinata. He stared at Hinata, seeing the view of his eyes widening as hard as they could. Kageyama went closer to him and held his hands. "H-Hoshiumi-san," Hinata uttered. Hoshiumi's lips almost twitched, he sniffled and stood up looking straight into Hinata's eyes. Their eyes met, and their emotions were almost the same— the four of them are. "But I will wait for you until we can play together again! I know all of us here wanted that, but I want to play against you and give our all in every play we do. So, when that day comes, I will defeat you!" Hoshiumi was bleary-eyed, recalling the time when Hinata said he lost his passion for volleyball. Still, he believes on the bright side. Hinata once again shines bright as the sun, reassuring Hoshiumi, Ushijima, and even Kageyama too. "I...won't lose..." After the two acquaintances—friends bid their temporary goodbye to Hinata when Hoshiumi decided to leave before the atmosphere worsens. At least, he doesn't want to bring up Hinata's condition, that's why they're here in the first place, and to finally give Kageyama and Hinata some time on their own. "I mean it," Hinata said not too long after Hoshiumi and Ushijima left, his attention came back on the window, looking at the sun now setting. It was afternoon already but it felt like minutes for Hinata, and he'd wish it could be longer—and he'd wish time would just stop at this point. Kageyama sat on the chair beside the bed, facing Hinata—his head against Kageyama, "What do you mean?" Hinata turns his peripheral on Kageyama, "If I...would be g-given a chance to live...I—will definitely play with you again..." Hinata's eyes were full of courage, hope, and relief for something different. Hinata tries to move closer to Kageyama and he'd let Hinata bury his head onto his body, brushing Kageyama's hair with gentle strokes. Kageyama personally liked it, mainly because Hinata wouldn't see his emotions when he cries a million times. What did he ever do to deserve this? Hinata clears his throat when he feels the emotional feelings crawling over his head. "Maybe, just maybe someday... there will be a time wh-where I... could play volleyball with you again..." Hinata said that sounded like a whisper but it still rings on Kageyama's ears, replaying the same thing over and over again. Kageyama heaved out a sigh, then he looked upon Hinata, and their eyes met with nothing but endearing comfort found on it. "Someday... that someday feels like forever..." He muttered and willingly buried his face on Hinata's body again. He can't help but feel Hinata's ribcage symbolizing that he's sick— matched with his arms that stopped brushing Kageyama's hair that almost weighs like a feather now. "But I look forward to it.." Kageyama continued before falling asleep on Hinata's body, finding peace by his side. Kageyama wanted to reminisce about the moments when they first played together, but instead something—probably his imagination flashed on his mind, that he would conclude a dream. But it was so clear it almost felt real. Someday, we will see each other on the court playing with their 120%. Without GBM brain cancer, without pain, no regrets, just happiness. Is it impossible to dream about that? A dream where they fulfilled their promises and played together like they wanted to. It isn't a fully detailed dream, but one thing that caught Kageyama's attention will always stick with him. Something he desperately wants at this point in time. Aside from playing volleyball again with Hinata, it was the clear vision of Hinata wearing a jersey—his face was brighter than ever, the same for his tangerine hair too. A sunlight exposure Kageyama likes. A dream where Hinata is healthy, energetic like anyone else—stronger than what he is now and lastly, he is alive.
Chapter seven 👆
When the Sun Sets (KageHina) Kageyama X Hinata Chapter 8 Kageyama slowly opens his eyes when he feels a little tingling in his body that sends a freezing breeze into it. He looked at Hinata beside him, still cuddling in his arms—still asleep. Kageyama gazed at the window, where the breeze was coming from. He left it open yesterday. That's his biggest mistake. His eyes widened when he realized what this feeling meant. Kageyama slowly lets go of Hinata that shows little trembles throughout his body, carefully and gently, Kageyama tries his very best not to wake up the guy who calls this moment a miracle. Kageyama ventured to the window and clearly saw the snowflakes falling from the sky with the surroundings as white as Hinata now. He quickly closed the window and his attention gazed on the sunflowers—with the snow as its toppings. Months had passed since Hoshiumi and Ushijima last visited, leaving the two at each other's company again with a lot of changes. Kageyama is a lot calmer now, and he can already handle Hinata but the pain isn't going away—it will never. Dark circles were visible in the latter, his sleep could be counted within the fingers. His headaches were stronger than before, alleged that the cancer was already Grade Four. Even so, Hinata seemed fine even after all those things. Sometimes, they would watch volleyball matches Hoshiumi sent. And just for a little time, Kenma and Kuroo would visit them, carrying sunflowers as Kageyama requested that could lift up Hinata's mood. But at the end of the day, it's only Kageyama and Hinata left. Kageyama picked the flowers up and threw them into the trash can, abandoning the hope that it'll bloom again. Even Hinata taking care of it, watering it every day would be impossible now, given his frail arms that weigh like a child's arms. Kageyama was brought back to reality when he heard Hinata groaning. His hands were brushed tightly in his head and his voice was a mix of quivering and weak. Kageyama rushed to him and sat on the bed, trying to calm Hinata down as much as he could. Hinata's eyes were almost teary-eyed, and for a million times, Kageyama's heart shattered into pieces—seeing Hinata in pain again. "Shoyo, Shoyo..." Kageyama went beside Hinata, and wrapped his left hand over Hinata, while the other put Hinata's head on his shoulders, leaning him and lulled Hinata in comfort. At this point in time, treatments aren't going to do it anymore. And soon, it will be useless, with the tumors recurring and the brain will eventually shut down—forever. Now's not the time to think about that! "I-I...feel like m-my brain...is freezing...it fucking hurts," Hinata muttered weakly, and it couldn't be conveyed enough for Kageyama to understand. Even so, his condition was enough to come up with a solution. "Hush, I'm here...It will be fine. I will never leave you." Kageyama wiped the tears falling from Hinata's scrunching eyes. He heaved out a long sigh and averted his eyes on the window, refusing to see Hinata undergo the same pain. A memory flashed through Kageyama's mind, a moment he spent with Hinata four years ago that will only be a memory now. "Do you remember when we played in the snow on my birthday?" Kageyama said, waiting for Hinata's answer—which he instantly regretted as if Hinata's gonna answer him with his condition now. Another sigh escaped Kageyama, making up the conversation to ease the pain—for both Hinata... and himself. "Mmh." Hinata managed to respond with a weak tone. His brown eyes were still shining as he attempted to open it, but failed when another groan left him. "Dumbass, don't try to exhaust yourself...If you can't remember it, then don't try...I'll just tell it to you every day because it will never leave." Kageyama's lips were barely twitching as he said those words, making him feel that he admitted Hinata was losing his memories. "That was the day we spent with lots of emotions, it felt like a roller coaster ride. It's the climax of the story, but we made up in the end with you...pulling me to play in the snow.." Kageyama recalled it and a small smile curved upon his lips, fully remembering how they looked like children playing with the snow. Hinata stayed silent, and every time Kageyama finishes a sentence, he would stare at Hinata and kiss his forehead repeatedly. "It was also the day you bought me a new ball as a present..." Kageyama paused for a second, and his mental pictures were replaced with a thought for a moment and a minute of silence engulfs the two. But after thinking about it he would still smile knowing that Hinata's still there with him. Kageyama's birthday has already passed like snow falling from the sky. Nothing special happened and it was as though Kageyama was fully occupied that he, too, couldn't remember it until now. Perhaps he lost track of time too, with his soul attached to Hinata, and only Hinata. Kageyama shrugged the thought, but he couldn't stop feeling his heavy heart. "But as long as you're here...it's more than enough," Kageyama uttered, his voice was soft as the snow, completely forgetting what he sounds like when angry or frustrated. It was gone a long time ago. Two minutes passed with deafening silence, Kageyama's staring in nowhere—the white paint and the lights completely matched with the snow outside. He observes it again until he feels Hinata's grip on him tighter. He stopped trembling which made Kageyama a little shocked, not with the drastically dropping temperature outside— not with what Hinata said a day before the snow falls. "But..the cold is k-killing me...slowly.." Hinata's voice cracked at the last words. Kageyama wrapped another blanket over Hinata, keeping his warm comfort feel cozy enough to make Hinata forget about the cold. He slowly taps Hinata's shoulders, slowly humming an unfamiliar tone. "T-Tobio.." Hinata's calls made Kageyama freeze like the ice. He stayed in that position for a minute and he stopped patting Hinata. "What's the matter?" Kageyama worriedly asked. "I want to...feel it again..." Hinata sounds determined by it. Their eyes met and it looked like Kageyama could cry any moment, seeing Hinata's eyes livelier than ever matched with the faint smile on his lips. It is barely there, but it is genuine. "What?" "I-I want to see...the snow...feel it again...with you T-Tobio...like before. For one last time..." Hinata pleaded. "But you're already freezing." Kageyama insisted. "Y-You're with me..so, I'll be fine.." Hinata said, with his eyes glowing than the sky outside. It made Kageyama's heart skip a bit, relieved that Hinata trusts him more than before. "Then, we won't stay long, alright? And hold my hand so you won't fall." Kageyama flashed a reassuring smile on his face and suddenly it was him bringing Hinata to the snow. With a bunch of blankets covering Hinata, he wobbles as Kageyama supports him as they go to the window and the dextrose connected to his forepalms. The machines were a pain. Hinata flinched when Kageyama opened the window, revealing tons of cold breezes and snowflakes flying over them. Hinata holds Kageyama's hands—tightly and doesn't let go. Hinata closed his eyes, feeling the breeze sending cold shivers throughout his body. But as time passed, he got used to it, and he finally found himself enjoying the snow. It was the snow they used to enjoy four years ago. And four years later, it was still the same. Kageyama smiled as he watched Hinata shine in the window, Hinata's smiles became wider, stretching on his pale and dry lips. It is a mark that he loves it. "See? The nights and snow aren't that bad..." They watched the snow fall, with their hearts in content—forgetting the pain in front of them and recalling the moments they loved years ago. "I'm glad it's you...It's always you, until the end." Hinata turns his head to Kageyama with the same expression on his face. When Kageyama didn't respond and just stared at him, Hinata came closer to pull him in a hug, fully remembering the peace he felt when he's with him. "So, t-thank you, Tobio...thank you for staying by my side..." Tears finally fall from Kageyama's eyes as he lets his emotions fill his soul and hugs Hinata back. This was the only thing he wanted to hear every day. "I love you."

When the Sun Sets (KageHina) Kageyama X Hinata Chapter 9 Months—Winter passed since then, and it's been hard for Kageyama to keep his senses altogether, now that it has never been fine. Hinata is almost skin and bones, almost looking like he hasn't eaten for one month. Mild seizures occasionally come too and sometimes, doctors would come if anything gets worse. It only got worse every day, and as Spring knocked at their door—still no signs of Hinata getting better hit Kageyama in the heart. "Sorry, Kageyama! Our schedule is so hectic that's why we couldn't visit Shoyo for a long time!" Hoshiumi pleaded with his usual tone. They were in the hallway in front of Hinata's room, visiting again. "It's alright, Hoshiumi-san," Kageyama replied. "We brought some fruits and the sunflowers you requested," Ushijima uttered. "Thank you, Ushijima-san. I couldn't leave and buy flowers so I had to ask you to do it." Kageyama bowed in appreciation. "No, it's fine." "Oya? What do we have here?" A sappy voice came from behind. It's been so long since Kageyama last saw Kenma and Kuroo, but they definitely haven't changed— physically. But emotionally, Kageyama doesn't know. Kenma is wearing a hoodie, his normal fashion every day with his hands on the pockets. "Hey, Kageyama. It's been a long time." "Kenma, Kuroo-san. Shoyo may have missed you guys." Kageyama greeted the other two—Ushijima and Hoshiumi averted their eyes to the two. "And you?" Kuroo bantered naturally. "Of course." Kageyama tinted a slight pink blush on his cheeks. "I see, still sappy as ever," Hoshiumi chuckled, "You should've come with us." Kuroo hoisted his arms holding a bucket of sunflowers, "Sorry. I've been busy!" His laughter resonated in the whole hallway. "Kuroo, lower your voice." Kenma's gentle tone made Kuroo shut his mouth up. "This isn't even a 'who has the most sunflowers wins' contest," Ushijima said then the others burst out in laughter, completely taking their time outside. "Well, I said to bring sunflowers but I didn't expect you to bring...that much." Kageyama pointed at Kuroo's sunflowers. "Hmm, you don't know. It's more likely to bring a whole garden now, you can't be sure if you have a chance someday." Kuroo responded but received a prickly silence among all of them, glaring their eyes toward Kuroo and that made the conversation go downhill. "Oh." "Uhm.." Kageyama cleared his throat to avoid the awkward atmosphere. "About that...Shoyo's already waiting inside." They all nodded and once again entered the room with a completely different atmosphere from before. It was fainter now and the whole existence of the room itself made Kenma sick. After all, he doesn't even want to come anymore. He wants to accompany Hinata but he's not sure if he could handle it all. Kageyama surely is the one who can stay by Hinata's side forever. "Shoyooo!" Hoshiumi rushed towards the male sitting on the elevated bed. Hinata's hair became blanched out, with his tangerine hair no longer noticeable, and turned into gray with his hair falling every day. He refuses to shave his hair to somehow ease the pain because he wanted his charming point to become attractive to Kageyama until the end. Hinata flashed a faint smile, "H..Hoshi—san." His voice was shaky and it was weaker, barely hearing it from a distance. He then noticed the four staring at him from the door, with Kuroo and Ushijima holding the sunflowers and Kenma avoiding Hinata's frail eyes. Those delightful bright eyes of his were long gone after winter. Those eyes screamed hopeless—that gloomy pupils were enough to tell Kageyama that there's no chance. Kageyama wanted to conclude that he just wants company, so here they are. "It's...nice t-to see you...again, guys..." "We brought flowers for you," Ushijima said, bypassing Kuroo, Kenma, and Kageyama by the front door. Hinata responded with a smile then brought his eyes back to his first friends. "T..that's a...lot." Hinata's eyes were glued into Kuroo's bucket of flowers. Kuroo left a chuckle that almost sounded forced. "Of course! These are freshly plucked sunflowers especially for you!" Kuroo ventured to the window by the sunflower vase, finding the 2-month old dried sunflower. "Man! This sure is dead!" Kageyama is petrified in his place. His mind couldn't process what Kuroo was saying. He can't avoid the double meaning flowing in his mind, insisting that it was the sunflower Kuroo's talking about, and he had to admit, he's a bit irritated by Kuroo's words earlier. "Should I get a dealer from Kita-san?" Hoshiumi's voice makes the atmosphere lighter than Kuroo's. "Well, that's a nice idea so there are fresh flowers when they're dried out," Kuroo said, replacing the dead flowers with fresh new ones. And so they started hanging out, the voices were overlapping as they talked—the one who stands out the most was Hoshiumi obviously. But unexpectedly, even Hinata couldn't believe how loud Ushijima's deep as a void voice can be and it made him frightened a bit, making the whole squad burst into laughter. Kageyama on the other hand, stays by Hinata's side, although he seems more quiet than usual, allowing Kuroo and Hoshiumi to take over the room. Meanwhile, Kenma is in his usual self, roasting Kuroo whenever he talks big about something. It was fun. The pain Hinata felt since four years ago fled away by one day with his friends and the one he loves the most. But after they left, Hinata realized it was their last visit—and Kageyama did too. They made sure to take mental pictures of themselves, capturing every single moment they spent together. And that no one in the room will ever forget about the reason why they're there for the rest of their lives. Kageyama jolted awake in the afternoon when his arms felt lighter and realized Hinata wasn't there. Kageyama's whole body reacted to it and got up from the bed, but calmed down when his peripheral caught Hinata sitting beside it, staring at the window—at the sky. "Shoyo, you should sleep." Kageyama approached him first when Hinata didn't seem to notice him awake. "H..Hearing the word 'sleep' feels... different to me now—if only I could, I...I would've done it every hour..." Hinata said with a shaky voice. "It's been..hard...and it will only get worse...right?" Kageyama looked up to him and saw nothing but gloomy eyes and the pale skin on his face glowing in the sky. "Please don't say that." "You know, I..have many things I wanted to do...K-Knowing that I will not live any longer, I want to try...new things and e-experience the feelings of the first times..." Hinata moved away from Kageyama and slowly—weakly, he went back to the bed and adjusted his seat. Kageyama wanted to argue with him, and say over and over again that it would be fine. But the pity was overcoming him and sending his million regrets throughout his soul. "I..wanted to play v-volleyball again...to be honest, I'm envious of...H-Hoshiumi..san and Ushijima-san..." Kageyama's breathing became harder. He wanted to pretend it was Hinata's random times his brain is sending mental emotions towards his head, but apparently, Kageyama let this go and listened to Hinata and looked at him with endearing eyes. "...Before I go, I.. want to at least touch the ball again even though I lost...my love for it and..Even if I-I don't have a chance..to play with you...again." It hurts, why does it lead to this? Kageyama sniffles, processing Hinata's words as long as he could—Even if those words were almost a whisper and raspy enough to make him cough. He nodded before getting up from the bed and Hinata just traced him with his eyes. "Wh...where are you—" Hinata couldn't help but cough and as he does that, his head quakes a little. Kageyama opened his bag and pulled the ball out of it. That Mikasa ball with Hinata's clear handwritings he gave to Kageyama on his birthday. "This ball...holds memories just like you said...this is the proof that I've changed..that you've changed me...so please hold on to it, even if you can't anymore—I will hold it for you." Kageyama held Hinata's hands and put both of them on the ball, making Hinata let his tears out from his eyes and smiled at the male in front of him. "You know...I've still got t-time.." Hinata reassures him as he weakly holds the ball—tightly as he could. The word 'time' probably is a disaster inside Kageyama's head, making it spin all over it and when he realizes what Hinata meant, he curses that word a million times. "What do you mean by that?" Hinata paused for a second and looked out the window again. "The sun...isn't gone yet...It's still s-setting..so, Tobio, I want to see..it." That statement also made Kageyama intrigued, but he knows Hinata can't handle outside the room with his condition. Not with him already shaking inside. You can't. You have to stay alive as long as you can. Kageyama knows it's the right thing to do, but he knew that he couldn't resist Hinata and that he found himself begging for the doctor's permission to take him outside. "He might freeze. What if his body couldn't handle it?" Kageyama downturned his head on the floor. He knows that and Hinata probably does too. "Kageyama-kun, you have to understand that Hinata-kun's almost at his limit. Please don't do it.. for his sake." Kageyama's lips twitched and it's making him harder to decide. He wanted to rush out of the hospital and scream his lungs out until he couldn't find his voice anymore. But he knows what's more important. "I...understand..thank you, doctor." Coming into the room with Hinata anticipating made Kageyama's heart shatter. He doesn't know how to say it, but he just shook his head to him. Hinata's smile slowly faded as the sun set. "But we can watch it from here. Is that okay with you?" Kageyama asked. Hinata did a small nod, and it was obvious he's disappointed about it—but he stuck out his arms towards Kageyama, prompting him to assist him, which he gladly did. They stood by the orange-to-pink window. When Kageyama opened it, the cold breeze of spring blasted through them and Hinata almost fell on his knees. The view is beautiful, but it wasn't enough. Somehow, both of them weren't as happy enough about it. There's still something that makes them feel empty. Especially Hinata, he's not satisfied with it. Is it because the doctor didn't allow them to go outside? "Is...there something w-wrong, Tobio?" Hinata grabs Kageyama's hand, blinking his eyes twice. Kageyama stood in silence for a moment. "How can we be so unfortunate?" Staring at the sky, Kageyama's vision blurs as he looks at it. They weren't as high as the mountains to fully see the sun, but he's glad they're not. "The universe is unfair. They gave me someone who will change my life and take it away just to meet him again and undergo the same pain, but worse? You never deserve any of this." Kageyama couldn't help but hit the sliding window open for him and he felt the sensation—the vibration that made the wall shake. "Why is it so unfair?" Hinata places his shaking left hand on Kageyama's face. For once, it wasn't cold and it surely brought warmth towards Kageyama making him turn to Hinata. "N..No. It wasn't completely unfair... because if it is, y-you won't be...by my side right now...and I..I'll die regretting my actions, because w-when I left you that day, it was never the ending...It was never— finished because we're destined to meet a-again and have a painful but better ending, unlike the first one.." It was enough to make Kageyama blurry-eyed, letting his tears fall for the millionth time. He can't count how many times and how many tears he's had since they met in Tokyo Tower. His heart almost fell on his stomach— aching so bad but he managed to catch a smile. "We'll be together again, right? Can you promise me... that we'll see each other again?" Hinata did the same. "Of course. We'll be together a-again..someday."

When the Sun Sets (KageHina) Kageyama X Hinata Chapter 10 The cherry blossoms fall for the first time in Spring for the first time of the year, the two didn't really see it together before and Kageyama would just ignore it as it falls knowing that Hinata left him at the station. That was spring. Now it came back again, and this day marked five years since Kageyama and Hinata met. Bittersweet memories engulf the two, but at least they were content enough to accept what happened and what was going to happen. It was already May 10. Kageyama greeted Hinata's nurse—Hitomi as usual. Like any other day, Kageyama bought sunflowers for Hinata to bring light color to the room somehow, he even thought of decorating it with balloons but it'd be too exhausting for him to do that. He's too shy to ask for Hitomi's assistance and it's not like Hinata's gonna help him with it. Hinata on the other hand may have gotten worse ever since. He lost most of his memory and he's been silent as ever. After that day, Kageyama and Hinata didn't have any proper conversation. But he doesn't mind that at all. As long as Hinata's still there, it's more than enough to last another day. It was until Kageyama opened the door, revealing nothing but dead air, the usual pale room but one thing caught his eye—the dextrose was left on the floor connecting to a non-existent patient. Kageyama almost had a breakdown when his mind realized that Hinata wasn't there. He tries to relax but fear and worry overcome him and couldn't do anything and let his emotions control his body. He can't even stand properly! How could he get out?! He tries to find him in the hallways, floor to floor, and even outside which he really hopes Hinata won't go out. He even attempts to check each room that catches every nurses' attention to the famous volleyball player losing his cool. The nurses he asked didn't seem to know where the sun could be and Kageyama was on the verge of a breakdown. Kageyama probably swore a million times and he nearly died before he found Hinata on the floor, wearing his everyday fashion hospital gown—collapsed. His eyes were barely squinting and Hitomi was there to help him. But it still wasn't enough to make Kageyama better. "Stupid! What are you even doing? Are you even thinking?" Kageyama's voice was full of frustration as many nurses and people were looking at him. "K-Kageyama-kun, please come down. He might—" "I..want to go..outside." Hinata managed to look up to him. "What?! It's dawn!" Kageyama became louder, completely dominating Hinata. "T..Tobio. I-I want to see..the sunrise." Hinata pleaded, if not with his hands then he used his eyes to beg. "I'm not letting you—" "For one..last..time.." Hinata clings onto Hitomi's arms, trying to stand again. "Please.." He turns to Hitomi too. "If..this is my last..then grant my wish.." Kageyama couldn't say anything, his words backed out from his mouth and he couldn't say anything. They both knew it was inevitable from the start. They knew. Kageyama heaved out a sigh. "Fine. For one last time." A small smile formed in Hinata's lips averting his eyes on Hitomi. "W-Well..I have to ask for the doctor's permission first..but we have to head back to the room or...he won't make it outside." Hitomi muttered the last words before moving Hinata to a nearby seat. As soon as they get back in the room, Kageyama stays outside until Hinata comes out. It was because he didn't want to see him in that condition again and that he was too weak to even watch as the nurses pulled the hospital bed with Hinata on it outside the room. For one last time, Hinata gave him a genuine smile. "Don't look at me like that, dumbass." Kageyama glared at him before giving Hinata his sunflowers. "Y..You look more lovely with that." Kageyama said and his face burnt hotter, probably showing different shades of red. Hinata's smile grew even wider, telling Kageyama that he likes it or he's teasing him about how embarrassed Kageyama was. "Well then, sorry to interrupt. But I'm going to accompany you if anything happens alright?" Hitomi said, nodding with the other nurses as they left. "That's fine with me." Hinata held Kageyama's hand as they went outside the nearby park in the hospital, where patients usually go with their visitors or when the doctors and nurses often go for breaks but now it was just them and the sky. It was still dark, but a few minutes later, it'll be sunrise. Let us once look at the sunrise, for one last time. Lilies are seen by the garden at the park while Kageyama and Hinata stare at the sky, Kageyama allows the spring breeze to touch his skin again sending goosebumps all over his body. And when Hinata probably felt the same way too, he held Kageyama's hand tighter. "We can't even see the sun here," Kageyama started, inhaling the air. He was relieved. The air wasn't prickly unlike inside the hospital—inside that frail room with a sunflower to lighten up the mood. The atmosphere is different. And it was beautiful. "Why sunrise..of all times?" Kageyama added, opening his eyes and seeing the bright rays of the sun lighting up the dark sky. "I've..a..always thought that sunse—ts makes me fe..el better.. it wasn't..i-it's beautiful, but the sun sets...into darkness, and I d—don't like it. B-Because it feels l-like it's the end..I-I don't want the sunset to be..the last I'll ever...see." Hinata's eyes lit up even more when he saw the clouds clearly. Kageyama glanced at the sun itself, clinging on to the hospital bed Hinata was lying on. "A-And I..realized that sunrises are more beautiful. B..Because it takes the darkness a-away.. and starts a new day—a new... beginning, no matter what happens a-after." Hinata flashed a faint smile on Kageyama and held his cheeks. "I...wanted to c-come back home again. I..wanted to go back to the l-life before and living a life with no regrets. I don't think I'll ever last that long to come home...but the memories, y..you brought them with you...right? P..Please keep those memories until the end." Hinata let go of his tears, not caring about every pain he felt since the day he left, the regrets he carried with him, and kept what was keeping him alive all this time. "I..I'm sorry...for leaving you again.." Hinata closes his eyes, holding Kageyama's face more gently. The wind got stronger, whisking away the leaves falling from the trees and the ones on the ground as the sun showed itself to the two. Kageyama stared at the beauty of the sun, praying—hoping that this isn't the last. "W..wait. l-let me rephrase that.." Hinata left a small gasp then chuckled after. "If..I couldn't speak a-after this..then I'll say my..temporary goodbye." He gave Kageyama a reassuring smile, sympathizing with the word 'temporary' instead of 'goodbye.' "Then, what would it be?" Kageyama holds Hinata's face with his shaking hands too. Both of their hands were cold but they still brought comfort to each other. A minute passed with just the two staring at each other with endearing love in their eyes, saying a million words to each other before the sky took the sun away from Kageyama. Hinata heaved out a weak sigh, taking a deep breath, and slowly formed his words—his last words were clearer than ever. "We'll...be together again...when the sun rises..."
chapter ten 👆
When the Sun Sets (KageHina) Kageyama X Hinata Epilogue A few weeks passed since the day the two watched the sunrise together and it was as though Kageyama was alone in the room, with the machines beeping telling him every day that Hinata is still there. If only everything was peaceful. Kageyama doesn't think he could handle it all, going back to the way he was before. His life changed a second time because of Hinata, but he made sure to cling to the memories he had with him—his peace, his sun, his home. "What are you feeling, Shoyo?" Kageyama asked the male lying on the bed with lots of needles connected to his body, holding the ball until the end. He could pretend he's just asleep and it's just his usual routine of talking to him, making Hinata feel like there's still someone beside him. "Huh? Who put these here?" Kageyama was flabbergasted as he stared at the chrysanthemum on the vase. He would just shrug it off after and replace it with the sunflowers he bought when Hinata groaned so loud that Kageyama felt his soul break. "Shoyo?!" He quickly runs on the bed, trying to understand what was going on and he'd just stare at the male going through hell. Kageyama was petrified in his place and he couldn't seem to process the situation until the doctor came with the nurses, pulling Kageyama away from Hinata. "N..No...No! Let me go!" Kageyama begged as he fought back, seeing the doctors come to Hinata. The hospital bed was shaking. Kageyama wants to convince himself that he's just asleep at that time, that it wasn't his last. This day wasn't Hinata's last. "Kageyama-kun, please go for a moment!" Hitomi rushed to him, pulling Kageyama back as hard as she could, her lips twitching, holding back her tears. "Please, don't go yet...please hang in there...I don't want to lose you again." Kageyama fell on his knees as it trembled, burying his face on his palms, and glanced at the doctors trying their best to revive the sun as it sets—experiencing its last seizure. "Don't..go.." For the first time in four years, Hinata's mind was peaceful again. He'll no longer experience headaches again and he'll be free from the pain caused by fate, living the rest of his life with regrets but thankful enough—that he saw Kageyama again before he breathed his last. The vision was blurry, everything is white. Everything is light. Suddenly, something flashed into Hinata's mind, showing a fragment— sort of memory but he doesn't know what it is. Perhaps, he doesn't remember it now. Because it didn't really happen. It was like a different timeline, an alternate universe people would call it. Hinata and Kageyama were together again in a school—volleyball club with a lot of members and coaches they once treated like family. It shows memories of their volleyball journey together, and that they never separated but their personalities never changed. They were happy and content together, with only winning matches and going to Nationals on their minds. Maybe an alternate universe wasn't so bad. Perhaps he would prefer starting over again. Hinata smiles, thinking about how his wishes would come true if the time comes and that memory will come true someday. Kageyama trembled when he witnessed Hinata slowly lightening the grip of the ball. He traced the ball as it fell and rolled over the ground—in front of Kageyama. His soul was crushed, and he felt like he was half-dead. Kageyama squeezed his eyes and screamed out of his lungs, witnessing the death of the sun he loves the most. "Hinata Shoyo, time of death—06:12 p.m." It's been exactly five years since the two met at the train station. Kageyama was 21 years old. They got together one week after they met. It was May 29 when Hinata left Kageyama at the train station in Spring. Three years later, they met again at Tokyo Tower. Kageyama was 25 years old and so was Hinata. It was Spring when Hinata left Kageyama again. Hinata was 26 when the sky took him away from Kageyama. "I never would've thought sunsets could be this painful," Kageyama said as he watches the nurses cleaning the empty room with heartbreaking memories, holding the sunflowers he bought and the ball that was fallen from the floor earlier. Shoyo held on to it until the end. "Hinata is the type of person you'll get attached to, no matter what. But he still stayed strong even after he was diagnosed. He is a person you'll never forget for the rest of our lives." Kuroo sat beside Kageyama, watching the same scene like him. When he got the news, he rushed to the hospital as soon as possible but Kenma didn't go with him, probably afraid to admit that his friend is gone forever. But Kuroo hesitated to come too if only Kageyama doesn't need someone to comfort his sorrow now. "I..Shoyo won't want to stay here forever," Kageyama said, his lips barely twitching. He still couldn't process it all. It happened so fast he ran out of tears already. "What?" "He said that..he wanted to go home. If he could, I would've brought him back to Miyagi. And he wouldn't like to be buried here either..." Kageyama added, staring into nowhere. "Besides, memories were the most important for him. It was the reason why he refused to leave Miyagi in the first place, so he's..He's going to come back to the place where he wants to belong. His home." "And you?" Kuroo asked. "I..don't know.." Kageyama answered and a minute of silence came after that. Kuroo realized it's probably better to leave him alone and that he could be out of his way, stepping into boundaries if he ever said a word again. "Thank you, Kuroo-san." Kageyama coldly said before bidding his goodbye to Kuroo. One year has passed since Hinata left. He was buried near his house, just by the mountainside with a peaceful and beautiful view of his home. Kageyama didn't stay any longer in Tokyo and came home after. He quit his team, Schweiden Adlers, eventually leaving Hoshiumi behind when the others—including Ushijima -- left too. But Kageyama still didn't give up volleyball, he decided to move on from the pain, and played for Hinata just as he promised. Kageyama joined a team, Ali Roma, a V.League team in Italy. Many were shocked by the sudden news, especially since Kageyama came back after he was lost. He stayed hidden for a year and made his comeback, going international. Kageyama inhaled as he took the fresh air coming from the graveyard. He made sure he was earlier than ever, keeping Hinata's spot cleaner than the other ones. "Maybe I'm too early?" Kageyama chuckled to himself when he glanced at the sun rising. It was obviously deliberate that he came here before sunrise, reminiscing the day Hinata told Kageyama about the sun rising. A new beginning. "How are you, Shoyo? You know..many things have happened since then. And I'm taller than before!" Kageyama let out a peal of forced laughter then paused after he said it. "You wouldn't mind if I leave right? Well, I'm doing this for the both of us..and you would probably get angry if I don't improve right?" "Would you be angry if I stayed here?" "But, I promised you. The memories will not go anywhere and it will always stay here. So, no matter what happens, even if I leave, I'll never forget it." The wind passes through Kageyama and the sun illuminates the entire graveyard, making Kageyama avert his attention toward the sun. He was still holding the ball Hinata gave to him and put the daffodils he brought on the grave. I miss you. I want to hug you. I want to— Laughter escaped Kageyama's mouth. "This isn't the end, right?" He stared at the sun rising, telling everyone it's a new day, and the beginning of an end. Kageyama stood and took a deep breath. A genuine smile formed upon his lips afterward. "See you again, when the sun rises, Shoyo."
