Bullied: Part 1

TRIGGER ALERT

Laura's POV:

It's been almost a week since that day in the university. I didn't talked to Kevin after that. I just kept avoiding him. No one really noticed me. I went home and took a long shower. I wore a pair of jeans and sweatshirt. I didn't know how I was feeling. I just sat on the armchair in my room with my knees upto my chest and was thinking what I should do.

After for the whole night I took a decision. A decision that would be better for me for everyone.

I heard a knock on my door that took me out of my thoughts. I went and opened the door to reveal my sister. She stood there with a genuine smile. I smiled back.

"Sis, let's go have our breakfast. You've been missing your breakfast since some days. We are worried about you that you'll go more skinny and won't look hot", she said and pulled me with her. I chuckled at her words.

"Good morning, mom, dad", I greeted everyone with a genuine smile.

"Morning, dear", they both said in unison. "You look beautiful today", my mom complimented while both my dad and Lisa nodded in approval.

"Yes, you look like the old Laura Watson", Lisa commented with a smile. I just gave them a smile.

We had our breakfast together and chatted for a while then I drove to the university.

Today I dressed like I used to dress a year back. I was wearing a burgundy long sleeved below knee length plated dress with matching stilettos unlike my everyday outfit which used to be a hoodie and a pair of jeans with shoes.

Today, I wasn't wearing a mask as well nor a cap. I let my hairs flow down my back. My hairs reached my lower back. I sighed and got down my car.

I walked towards the building as I realized how people were staring at me. I just gave them smile. I went for my lecture and sat on the last bench. Slowly, more students started entering the classroom.

I saw some people gasp when they saw me. I just gave them a small smile. After the lectures, in the lunchtime I went to the cafeteria and ordered a sandwich with chocolate milkshake.

I took my order and went to my usual place. I sat on the bench and took a small bite of the sandwich when someone said, "You look beautiful and different today."

I was startled at first but then turned to see Kevin standing in front of me. "Thank you", I said slowly with a small smile.

He sat beside me. "Wanna have some?", I offered him my sandwich. "No, you should have it. You need it more", he said, mischief glinting in his eyes.

"What do you mean?", I knitted my brows. "You need energy to because now you're so beautiful and guys are going to follow you everywhere", he said, disappointment glinting in his voice but I wondered why was he disappointed? "Stupid", I muttered.

"It's ok you can have it. I don't eat much", I insisted but he declined.

After having three bites, I almost done. I took my milkshake and took some sip but now I didn't had appetite. I just got up when he said, "What? You're not done yet. There's more shake and sandwich left in there."

I chuckled and said, "I told you I don't eat much."

"But...." I cut him off. "I don't have an appetite", I said and walked away. After throwing the leftover in the dustbin, I was walking towards the building when something fell on my head. I closed my eyes.

My hairs were wet. They threw water balloons on me. How childish!! I looked up to see some boys and girls laughing at me. "Look at the ugly duckling", they all teased. I didn't say anything and just walked to the washroom.

After cleaning myself up, I went for my lectures. After all my lectures were done, when I was walking out towards my car. Some students started teasing me and bullying me. They called me with different names.

I started pacing towards my car when a girl pulled my arms. I hissed in pain as she held me tightly and it just pressed my cuts. I closed my eyes tightly.

"You bitch, do you think you can steal Kevin from me? You ugly bitch", the girl spat. "I didn't steal anyone", I defended.

"Oh is it?", she asked. "You ugly bitch, don't you even dare to go near my Kevin. He's just mine, got it?", she asked. I pulled my arms back and said, "I don't want him. Keep him with yourself."

I was once the girl who fought for others when they were bullied but now I was bullied. Without saying anything I just went to car and drove back to my house.

I went to room and locked it as I slide down against the wall and pulled my legs upto my chest and sobbed silently.

My decision was that, I'll never let anyone know that I was and I am depressed. I'll never let anyone see the real me. I'll never let anyone see the broken Laura. I'll just wear this mask of happiness on my face. I'll pretend to be happy.

But this is just too painful. I just went into the bathroom and strip down as I stood in front of the mirror that reflected my ugly body. There were scars over my thighs, my stomach and arms. Some faded while some were new.

I took the blade and started cutting around my hands and thighs and stomach as I said, "Remember, you're the ugly girl don't try to become the beautiful one."

I saw the blood flowing down my body. I got up and went to take shower. After taking a long shower, I dried myself and wore sweatpant and hoodie.

I sat in the balcony for almost the whole evening when someone knocked the door. I quickly wiped my tears and walked to open the door with a smile.

"Dinner is ready, ma'am", one of the maid said respectfully. "Tell mom, I'm not hungry as I had something on the way home", I said. She nodded and went downstairs.

I locked my door and sat on the armchair with my diary. I wrote about my day and then some lines.

Isn't it better to die
