Ezequiel’s study room is freezing in cold or is it the fact that Ezequiel’s aura changed as she took a sit. “Leila Marie Gomez, 23 years old, single and a graduate of S University.” Ezequiel started reading her biodata. “You’re from C state, right?”

“Yes sir.” She replied casually. “Are you somewhat related or acquainted to Mrs. Althea Monoban?” Leila stiffened from her sit. Their gaze met, and she can see a hint of anger in his stern gaze. Why? Is it possible that Ezequiel know her secret?

“Are you, Ms. Gomez?”

“No sir.” Leila denied.

“You look like her.” Ezequiel handed her a photo; She is speechless as she take a look. He took the picture back.

“Why are you asking me this question, sir?” Leila tried to hold back from blurting out her anger. She wanted to cry any moment, so it’s true.

“I’m just curious, Mrs. Monoban is one of our biggest clients. Somehow I can see her in you.” Ezequiel stated blandly.

Biggest client, huh? You filthy man, homewrecker! Leila wanted to slap him but that would mess everything.

“Mrs. Monoban has a daughter. I think she would look like you, but I haven’t met her in person.” She clenched her fist. “Are you really not related to her?” He asked again, his eyes is searching for answers.

“No sir, if you are done asking, I would like to excuse myself.” She wanted to dismiss the topic.

“You’re odd Leila. You graduated from a good University, yet you applied for this kind of job.”

“Like I said before sir, this is for the convenience of my grandmother.” She gave him a serious look before saying, “Please excuse me.” Ezequiel nodded.

She roused from her seat and walk towards the door, she tried to hold back her tears. But as she walk, her misty eyes formed droplet of tears. Good thing Ezequiel can’t see her now.

Ezequiel grinned as he watched her figure walk out of the door. Leila Gomez a young woman with a strange background, he took the picture again from his drawer and compared it to Leila’s picture in the biodata. They really look the same especially their eyes and nose. Both possessed a pair of hazel eyes and a small pointed nose but Leila’s lips looks fuller and luscious. The old woman is brunette, and Leila have a jet-black hair.

Ezequiel grabbed his telephone and started to dial, in just a spilt second the person from the other line answered his call. “Hey bro, I need you to investigate someone.”

“You fvcking moron! It’s already midnight in my place, make sure this person is worth this midnight call because I’m going to charge you twice the price!”

“Sure! No problem.” Ezequiel grinned as he finger-combed his hair back. “Anyway, what’s the name?”

“Leila Marie Gomez, gave me all the information you can dig up from your source.” Ezequiel answered while holding her biodata. “Yeah, sure idiot!” He answered and ended the call. “Damn this man!” Ezequiel cursed in the air.
