THE FUTURE

It was not even daybreak when Victor went to visit Gramps. He explained everything to him and thank them for what they have done for him; he gave him such an expensive gift with Gramps and his son could not accept at all. But in the end, they accepted it seeing how persistent the boy was.

"Gramps, Big brother…" he cried, "I promise to visit you one day. Please take care until I come back."

"Victor, you take care as well," Gramps said as he gave the boy a warm embrace.

As Victor was about to step inside the car, Big Brother came running for him. "Will you go see Tia?"

"I won't have the time for it, but please hand that over to her." He answered, looking at the box that Big Brother was carrying.

As the door closes, then drove off, leaving all his memories behind as he set for a new beginning.

At the Airport

When they arrived at the airport, Nicholas has been waiting inside for Victor.

Nicholas saw the boy heading towards him with red puffy eyes."All set?"

"Yes, Uncle," he answered

"Very well then…" he smiled after hearing the boy called him "uncle".

As they boarded the plane, Victor's heart ache as he was about to leave the Country at the same time fulfill his parents wish for him.

I never had a life before, but now I'll live my life the way I want it. Just you wait, I'll get back what's rightfully mine. Mother, Father, I hope you are watching over me.

"Young Master." The old butler said

Victor snapped back to his senses and walked through the gate, he did not stop and continued forward ahead. As he sat down on his seat beside Nicholas, he looked outside the window and noticing the pouring rain tapping on the window. He closed his eyes for a moment and cleared his mind.

"So, this is it…" the familiar voice said

Victor: It's you again.

The Watcher: I'm just checking on you…

Victor: Yes, this is it. The starting point to my revenge…

The Watcher: Once you win all of this, do you recall our deal?

Victor: I know, I must find true happens…

The Watcher: And the consequence?

Victor: I know. I know you don't have to remind me.

The Watcher: Then, I wish you the best of luck in this new life of yours. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask for my help. I'm just one call away and I'm always watching you.

"Is something wrong?" A voice said, causing Victor to awoken.

As he looked around, he realized he was still inside the plan. For a moment he felt he was transported into a different realm.

"I-" he said, as he realizes they have felt the ground and is already in the air.

"We've left Country K already," Nicholas said concern seeing the boy looked tense.

"It's my first time on a plane and I fell asleep." He said feeling a little embrace.

"It's fine, you'll get used to it." He said, "Just rest, for now, it's still another 10 hours before we reach Country M."

"Okay…" he said

As a flight attendant approached him, he smiled as they handed him some refreshments and snacks. Seeing how they treat him made him realize his life has changed now.

Back In Gramp's Shop

"Tia." Gramps said as he saw the girl walking inside the shop.

"Gramps, have you heard from Victor, he didn't go to school today." She said as she removed her coat and put her umbrella away.

"Talk to your Big Brother, his at the back." He said

Tia smiled and headed to the back after greeting the customers.

"Big Brother." She called aloud

"Tia." He said whilst putting the dough he was working on away. "I have something for you." He added, as he went to the drawer and pulled out a present.

"Big Brother, it isn't my birthday yet." She giggled

"You should open it upstairs." He said which such lonely expression.

Tia did what Big Brother asked and headed upstairs. She sat down by the stairs as she opened the present. Inside was a jade bracelet and a letter.

Tia

By the time you're reading this, I'm on a plane heading to Country M. I wish to see you before I leave but I couldn't make the time.

Tia, you're my best friend and the only person who encourage and help me in the academy. I'll always remember how you stood up for me and how you always take care of me.

Since we were little you've always been there for me until now. I don't know what I would do without you. Tia, I'm sorry for all the trouble and pain I made you experience. I'm sorry for being weak that you always have to protect me. In the future, I promise when I return, I shall be someone who can help and protect you too.

Thanks for being such a great friend, you're like a sister to me whom I cherish so much. Always take care.

Victor.

Tia crumpled the paper as tears rolled down her face, her heart was aching so much she felt like dying on the inside. It was not long when Gramps approached her and comforted her.

"It's alright…" Gramps said

"He…" she cried

"Don't worry, he'll come back as he promises and you know he always keeps his promise." He explained

"Gramps, how could he…" she continued crying

"He's on his way to find out who he is. To live the life his parents dreamt for him, I know despite his far away. He'll always be in our hearts and he'll always be the Victor we know." He explained

Later that evening, a car arrived in front of the store to pick Aristia up. It was not a surprise for them to see her being picked up by such an extravagant car for they knew who she was. It was only Victor who does not know who she truly was and it was only him who does not see what's right in front of him.

"I wonder what the future awaits for them?" Gramps said

"Let's just hope, their paths will cross again." Big Brother said

"I wonder if they'll remember…" Gramps smiled as he looked at the photo in his hand.

On the photo was two children blowing a candle on the same cake. There were two adult men and one lady. Both kids smile from ear to ear as they blew out the candle light.
