ch. 4

-Yuki POV-

The sudden gust of wind startled me. It makes my hair a bit messy now. I tidy it up a bit, and then take a look at the sky.

'Looks like it's going to rain'

I took a glance at the kitten. It won't be good if she gets rained. I still have classes and can't take her home so i have to find her a shelter for now. I looked around.

'Ah!'

There's an unused cardboard under the chair i was sitting on before. I took the kitten, and put her inside the cardboard, make it so she doesn't get rained on. I give her my leftover lunch.

"Eat this and stay here ok?"

"Mrreoww"

She eat the meal happily. There's no sign that her mother was there. I looked around again for a bit before i packed my lunch and use my gloves back.

"Bye bye kitty."

I waved at her and then go back to class.

-Ding Dong Ding Dong-

'Pheww, i'm almost late'

Now i'm already at my class door. There's no people swarming at my seat anymore. I take a sit, put my lunchbox back to my bag, and put the notes on my table.

The teacher is coming.

"Please take a sit everyone, we will start our class now."

"Open your textbook page 58."

Everyone began to open their books. It's my first day so i don't have any textbook. I just stared at my notes blankly.

"Ah, Shiraishi right? you're the new student, don't you?"

"Yes, sensei.."

"You don't have the textbook yet, so you can share it with the friend next to you."

'Wait, what??'

I can't believe it. I have to share with him out of all people. I fall silent. I don't know how to ask him, and i'm too embarrassed to face him.

"I'll move my desk next to you, is it alright?"

He took the initiative.

"Y-yes, it's fine."

He move his desk next to me, though i should be the one to do it. He's too nice.

He opened his textbook and put it between us. Silence came. We're not that close to start a conversation, and there's a lesson to begin with. I just tried as focused to the blackboard as i can.

"Hey.." he whispered.

'Huh? I think i just heard something'

"You know, Shiraishi."

'Wait, he just talked to me? i never thought he would be the one who start a conversation. Well, it's him so i'm not suprised'

"W-what is it?" i whispered back.

"Can i ask you something?"

"Well, if i can answer then sure."

"Emm.. you know, i don't know if you would be able to, but i just kind of curious."

'??'

"Those gloves.. why did you put it on?"

"..."

"It's just.. i kind of.."
