ch. 3

-Naoto POV-

"Now that we're here, what do you want to have for lunch, Naoto?" says Kazuma to me when we arrived at the cafetaria.

"Guess i'll be having milk and bread for now."

"Ok then, i'm going to get some pudding over there."

He patted me on the shoulder, and then we split up. I went over to the counter.

"One chocolate milk and melon bread ma'am!"

"Ok, there you go, boy."

"Thanks, here's the money."

After i paid for my lunch, i go back to the place before we split up, but Kazuma is not seen anywhere. I decided to wait for him for awhile but he didn't come back at all.

'Tch, that damn Kazuma! He's the one who invite me to the cafetaria but he's gone when i'm not looking. Must be spotting his whatsoever beloved goddess'

Now i'm walking alone to class with chocolate milk and melon bread in hand while cursing Kazuma on the way.

Before long, i spotted an empty hallway. Well, not really empty but i guess students rarely pass that way because the cafetaria is moved to the place it is now, so using this hallway is like all the way around.

I decided to go through that hallway. The lunch time is still long, so it won't kill to take the way around. While walking, i take a sip of my chocolate milk little by little to hold my hunger. After some time, i found a glass door. It's a door that connects two buldings, the students building with the main one. Between them, there's a garden.

I push the glass door open, and walk through. After i go down the short stairs to the trail, i spotted something. It's at the corner of the garden. Without thinking, i take a few step back and hide myself behind the wall that as tall as my waist. I take a peek at it. The garden isn't that wide so i can still see it quite clearly.

'Wait, isn't that..'

There's the new girl over there, crouching in front of the flower field.

'What is she doing?'

She's just crouching over there. After a while, something small coming out from between the flowers.

'It's a kitten!'

Yes it is indeed. i didn't think there would be a kitten here. Where did it come from?

After the kitten appears, i see that she tried to touch it. It seems that the kitten isn't afraid of strangers. After that, she tried to pick it up but suddenly a pretty strong wind blows up. The sight struck me.

The gentle light that's coming from her side, her light black hair that as long as her waist blows, her sparkling black eyes and her embarrassed smiles as she tried to brush her hair back. And then i noticed, that she isn't wearing her gloves. I take a look again and i think that there isn't anything wrong with her hand.

'But then why would she need to wear gloves?'
