CHAPTER 1 - DREAMS

"This week she went from ice queen to demonic boss."

An intellectual-looking Man with glasses and a thin body spoke to a small woman with a soft, graceful beauty.

"She's definitely in a big bad mood, like we need more contributions to the nation we already have."

The woman spoke to her co-worker, making a dejected expression that because of her appearance became cute.

"At least we don't have to live with her outside office hours, it would be hell to serve Mrs. Lin for more than eight hours."

The man spoke again as he sighed in frustration, unable to even imagine how tiring it must be for Madame Lin's personal secretary.

"Right! We should be grateful for the little things."

The woman spoke as she curled her little hands into a fist in a way to demonstrate her determination to remain positive, the man can only chuckle softly as it didn't matter how hard she tried she just looked cute anyway.

As this pair of friends and assistants walked together, they walked away from a large cherry wood door, through that door, into a large room with white porcelain floor and painted walls the same with, next to the windows, which covered by Complete one of the walls, there was a large table made with the same type of wood as the door, carved with small details made by a great artisan.

Sitting in the chair behind this table looking with interest at the landscape was Mrs. Lin whom the assistants were talking about, looking at this woman of extreme beauty, you could imagine how dignified she was, until the moment you remembered that she too she was that “fan mom” on her days off at home.

However despite her undeniable beauty, the state in which she was not even being compared to what was seen a week ago, she had dark circles that not even her best cosmetics could make disappear, due to the fact that the product was not even bad for a new one. dark circles appears from another sleepless night.

Ever since that first dream of that child, she continually has the same dream, and can't sleep anymore.

In each dream the environment is the same, but in each dream she seems to be closer to the baby and soon she wakes up unable to hug him, initially she thought these dreams had to do with her attachment to the characters in the novel, but now she she thinks she is just going through the last phase of menopause and her great regret at not being a mother is causing her to have constant nightmares.

Although this repentance is impossible to be realized either in the past or in the future, since the founding of the nation there has never been the terms mother and father, as no child could be raised by an individual or a couple of individuals, it was raised in a government institution and has no idea who his parents are, or rather the gene donors.

Although she has this desire to be a mother, which is seen as unnecessary in her world, she believes that the nation's governmental ideology was right, at least for the last millennium, no one died of starvation or cold, territorial wars did not occur again, although as a precaution the government tries to keep those that can bring benefits to the world with interdimensional spaces equipped for a war or worse a pandemic like the one that occurred in the past, leaving thousands of people isolated for survival.

“Ah! I just want to have a good sleep.”

She sighed in frustration as she leaned her head back in her chair and closed her eyes, trying to put any useless thoughts behind her, and within a few minutes she fell into a deep sleep caused by the accumulation of tiredness.

And again the dream began she was in a completely dark place, just like in the other dreams she was alone, but unlike the others she still didn't see the boy, only heard his voice calling her mother, she got up and walked slowly towards the voice.

She walked and walked and walked, but she never reached the source of the voice after a while she felt tired, she sat down and looked around and there was only darkness and the child's pitiful voice, it was making her panic and lost, and after a while she felt like she was sinking into the ground and she could no longer breathe.

She felt suffocated, and wanted to wake up, but for some reason she couldn't wake up and open her eyes, she was trapped in the dream without being able to find a way out at all, she felt like she was about to die if she couldn't get out of this dream and then everything stopped.

She felt her eyelids heavy, but she could already feel the surroundings around her, only the sounds that came to her were different from the silent office she had fallen asleep in.

Trying to move her hands she managed to feel a rough feeling like a low quality fabric, but her strength was not great and that effort alone made her fall asleep again, but now she had no dreams and slept peacefully, and everything it looked perfectly fine, or at least it would be until she woke up completely again.
