• Once upon a time •

Hinata had never known what pain really felt like.

Not until he met the boy who made him feel like a walking idiot.

It was his middle school volleyball tournament; his first.

He remembered vaguely the smell, but he remembered clearly the feeling.

That court was were he wanted to be.

And when he was finally there, he didn’t win.

He couldn’t win.

He tried but the blue eyed devil kept his body chained to the ground.

Hinata wasn’t angry at his teammates, he wasn’t angry at the game...

Hinata was angry at himself.

He was angry that he couldn’t do it, couldn’t beat that boy; that freak.

And he vowed that some day he would overtake the “kings” position and claim it for himself.

He vowed that he would spend his life defending his name and earning his power.

It was his goal.
