Taehyung (5 years old)
*sitting in park wearing all black and frowning*
His brows furrowed playing at the pebble with his foot like crushing it. He should be enjoying like the other kids in the park right? He should be playing. But his father told him not to because playing is childishness.
Not that he wants to play anyway. He is too quiet for his own good. He does not really like talking that much. Maybe, that is what growing up with little memory of his late mom and a strict father. His brother is an exception though. He can be somehow open to his older brother who really is so soft for him.
Tae can see the guards, assigned by his father, stand meters away from him, letting him by his own. Just observing him. Until one kid approached him.
Tae did not see him coming. He looked up and saw a blinding smile of a kid a little younger than him.
(think that he's holding lollipop)
The kid in front of him is wearing baby blue shirt in contrast to his golden brown skin and had a toothy smile. He had a gap between his teeth.
In the corner of Tae's eyes, he saw his guards tensed and taking a step towards them. He raised his hand to stop them. They immediately halted and went back to where they were standing. He turned his gaze back toward the kid.
The kid has his arms extended to him his hand and on his wrapped lollipop. He looked at the kid with a "what?" expression.

*shrugs and smiles* Yours.
Tae was taken a back. He dumbfoundedly took the lollipop. Not yet recovering from what just happened.

*kisses Tae's cheek* Momma tells me to kiss hurt. You hurt? I kiss you. You hurt no more.
Taehyung (5 years old)
What is your name kid?
Tae could not help but ask. He said kid as if he is not a kid himself. But what could he possibly do? He was not given the right to become one.
Jungkook (4 years old)
I Jungkook. You pretty. White as snow.
Tae could feel his ears burn at the words. He is flustered and he does not know why. Perhaps, because nobody really complimented him before. He was sheltered and kept from public eyes. He never had the chance to talk to other people or hear from them. Now, that he is five, his father is slowly letting him out.
Tae snaps out of his thought and thinks of leaving. It would be better to just leave. He does not know how to act in situations like this after all. So he quickly stood up which made the kid in front of him frown.
Taehyung (5 years old)
Mn. Bye, Jungkook.

*quickly turns his back and walks quickly*
Tae expected Jungkook to be silent. Instead, Jungkook shouted with his loud cheery voice,
Jungkook (4 years old)
🤩Bye, pretty! Play with Gulf next time!
Taehyung (5 years old)
*ignores Jungkook and continued walking without looking back*
Tae's father
So tell me what happened son.
His voice was authoritative, demanding, and dark. Beside him stood Tae's older brother who's older than Tae by two years.
Taehyung (5 years old)
I went to the park, father. I did not play like all the other kids. They were laughing. I was not. They were running. I was sitting. They were loud. I was quiet.
Tae said softly without pausing and blinking.
He is used to speaking formally and well. He was trained to do so and smart to catch up.
Tae's father
Good. After all you are Kim Taehyung. You and your brother will be my heirs. You will inherit Red Phoenix and I do not expect anything less from you. Who are you, son?
Although not understanding what his father is saying Tae replied as if he understood well.
Taehyung (5 years old)
I am Kim Taehyung.
Tae's father
*smiles approvingily*
Tae saw his brother slightly grimaced, yet with warm eyes, smiled at him.
