Chapter 1

5:00 pm.

Getting ready to go home. I was arranging my things when the manager approached me.

"Miss Kim. I need you to do a report and pass it to me tomorrow morning."

I looked at the paper she handed and sighed. "Is there a problem, Miss Kim?" She said with an eyebrow raising.

"No Mam. I will give it to you tomorrow morning" She handed the paper to me and I put it in my bag. "Okay good" She said and left without saying thank you.

I'm Kimberly , for short Kim. I've been working here in South Korea for almost 3 years now. And I'm blessed to be as an assistant pr director in this big business company.

"Miss Kim, we're going for dinner, Wanna join us? Hyung Unnie said.

"I really want to but I have some reports to do. I'm really sorry Hyung unnie."

She came closer and whispered to me "Did that miss old hag gave you another report eventhough it's not your work." She asked.

I nodded to her statement.

"What? That old hag is really insecure to you. She's always give you report everytime past work hours after what the director said that you will be promoted. Hmp! I really need to report her." Hyung said angrily.

Hyung is a little bit older than me. I'm 27 and She is 30 years old and she is one of my closest workmates here. She's a really good person.

Hyung unnie. It's okay I don't mind it since I'm her assistant after all." I said calmly and smiled to her.

"But it doesn't make sense anymore. She is scared that's why." She said as she rolled her eyes.

"Please tell the others Hyung unnie that I cant' join with you today."

"Okay. Dont worry I'll will handle it". She smiled to me and left.

I bow to her as a sign of respect.

I let a deep sighed.

I'm walking now away from my company and I'm heading to the train station. My home is 30 mins away from my job. I swipe my card before entering the station and standing infront of the waiting area while waiting for the train. I received a text to someone that is very closed to me when she was still in the Philippines. I haven't seen her for almost 8 years. It's Aera Park and she is the member of the most popular girl group called Xrystal.

"Hello Mimi. I'm sorry I just only texted you now after our date last month? Hihihi. I'm very sorry I've been very busy this whole freaking month. Sorry Mimi" I smiled when I read her text messages because she still the Riri I've known even though she's famous now. We call each other Mimi and Riri when we were in college. And I remember those days that me and her mom always accompanying her while she auditioned. And we're so happy that she got accepted and joined a reality tv show in Country Z and after that she left for Country A to pursue her dream. And now she is a now one of the most popular artist.

"It's okay Riri and don't you worry about it. Same also, I've been also busy this whole freaking month". After I replied, the train arrived. There are lots of people waiting here.

I got on the train and immediately saw a seat. I was in the middle of two highschool students. And I heard my phone beep. It's Riri's text.

..."Thank you Mimi. Are you not busy next Friday at 6pm? You know hihihi. ☺️...

"Hmmm. Usually every Friday My works ends at 6 pm."

Have you forgotten my birthday? 🥺

"No, I would never forget your birthday. You know that. " I know Riri's birthday. I always messaged and greet her a happy birthday every year. I will never forgive myself if I forgets her birthday.

"But I would like to you to come to my birthday party next friday."

I was surprised when I read her text. I paused for a moment. I know there will be a lot of celebrity because Riri is a public figure now that's why I can't. I'm too shy and I'm not in their level.

"Please Mimi, I want you to come to my birthday party. I want you to meet my friends and I want them to meet you. Pretty please?"

She texted again"Pretty please, please, please" 🥺

"Oh I forgot, It's only a small party so don't cha worry about it 😘". Oh! Thank Goodness That gave me relief.

"Okay Riri, I'm going to your birthday, but I will be late if that's okay"

"It's okay with me. I will send you the address later. See you Mimi. Muah😘"

"See you 😘"

After that long texting I am now here in my small apartment. My apartment is an hour and half away from my work. It's a little bit far from my work but it's okay because I was able to find something cheap and just the right size for me. My apartment is a studio type. I took a bath and changed my clothes so that I can cook.

I opened the fridge and there’s an old rice this morning. I took it because I'm going to cook fried rice. This will be my dinner now.

Five minutes have passed and my fried rice is cooked. I sit down and opened my laptop and I started my work.

I woke up because of the sunshine and not realizing I had fallen asleep here at the dining table. I looked at the time and it was almost 6:00 am. I hurried to the cr to take a bath because I'm already late.

I entered the office grasping for air because I'm on time. This is the First time that this happened to me for how many years.

I hurried to my table and to my surprised the PR director is here waiting for me. She look at me from head to toe with an eyebrow raised.

"Are you done with the reports I gave you?" She said.

"Yes ma'am "I handed it to her. She looked at me intently and the she left.

Hyung approached me "What did she say to you?"

"She didn't say a word and just left."

"Hmp! That b*tch. Not even a thank you. I hope karma gets her"

"It's okay Unnie. I'm used to it" and smiled to her.
