Chapter 2

I have a bad feeling about this whole trip. This was the same feeling I had felt the day when Ila went missing. I can't shake it off and everything feels out of place.

I dropped my emergency bag with all the things I brought yesterday with my roommate. She was the reason I brought it anyway. She was the type of person who thinks that everyone is going to attack her when she is alone, so for her I got everything to make her feel better.

Getting on the plane and the eight hour flight was the most difficult period for me. The feeling of nausea was there for the whole time, and the knot in my stomach grew with every passing second.

Sleep was the only relief for me. I slept for the last two hours of the flight. And was women up by my teammates when the plane landed. All the arrangements were made before hand and two people were allotted a room.

It was already four in the evening when we reached our hotel. The rooms were big enough with two beds, a small TV, a small closet and a small table in between both the beds. The bathroom was spacious .

All ten of us gathered at the dinning hall where our professors told us about the plan for the rest of our stay. We are allowed to get a day break tomorrow. We are allowed to visit different shops, this is a great opportunity for me to look at all the dresses and jewelries.

I sported some interesting shops on our way to the hotel and it seems like they sell some interesting things, I can't wait to explore them.

Next morning our professors gave us all the instructions to us at our breakfast table.

"We will be giving you a day off today, you can go and explore the market but remember to return back to the hotel before dinner time. Our trip will start from tomorrow. So be sure to get everything you need ready before we leave. Now you can go after you finish your food." With that said they went to their separate table.

Two of the girls who were sitting beside me were squealing in excitement talking about how much fun they are going to have. I just rolled my eyes at their stupid talks.

After breakfast we all separated, some went to jewellary shop while some to the market. But my interest was fixed on only one shop. I don't know why but I had a feeling that I should go and find the shop I saw on my way here.

Making my way in that direction I felt more and more relaxed. On my way I saw merchants selling fruits, items made by ivory, small necklaces. The streets were lively and crowded. There were people were traditional dresses.

I soon reached the shop and before I could enter I felt as if someone whisper  in my ears. The voice sound that of a male, it was deep yet smooth. I turned back to see who it was but surprising no one was there. I just brushed it off and entered the shop.

The inside of the shop felt like an entire different world. There were so many items. Oil lamps that reminds me of the movie Aladdin, there were clothes with intricate designs, fans, wigs, scrolls hanged on the wall and the majority of the shop was covered in paintings and sculptures.

"How may I help you?" I gasped at the sudden voice and turn around to see a boy, maybe a year or two older than me, standing at the counter. He had brown hair and chocolate brown eyes. "There are many old thing here, if you can tell me what you are looking for I can help you and show you some suitable items."

"Oh no, I was just looking around. The shop seemed interesting to me so I came in."

The boy raised an eyebrow, "It really is interesting that you find old things interesting. I will show you around and see if you would like anything."

"Sure..." I am not sure why I said that now. I never was a person who is comfortable with strangers.

He showed me different lamps, some jewelries, wall hangings and cloths. He was being really friendly and it was not that bad.

"There is something I am sure you would love." He said while pulling off a curtain. There was a big painting, something you would see on the tombs of the Pharaohs. But what caught my attention was the painting of two people standing near a river. They seems to be offering prayer. The frame of the painting was wooden and had many carvings on it. They seems like they have a very important story in store in them.

"Hope you can finally be where you belong." I gave him a confusing look, but he ignored me and pushed he towards the painting. I put out my hand to decrease the impact of my fall but the only thing I touch is the painting.

The next thing I know there was a sudden bright light from the painting and my hands started to disappear.

"I will see you soon your highness. Hope you remember me I am Lapis." That's all I hear before everything went black. But suddenly I felt like someone was shaking me.

I open my eyes only to be me with hazel ones. The person in front of me is really handsome, but I have never met him before.

I am lying on a bed and curtains are surrounding it. The only person I can see is the man sitting in front of me. I look down to see my dress has been changed and I am covered with a silk cloth.

"Nefertari are you all right, you suddenly fainted?" The man said. His voice sounds oddly familiar yet I can't remember where I heard it. I am really confused right now.

I lift the curtain and get off the bed. The walls are different and the room is really big there are vase with flowers and the room was decorated richly. There were many people in the room and most looked panicked.

But my whole attention was focused on only one person standing at the corner. She wore a long purple dress that hugged her body perfectly and her face was full of concern. But that changed into happiness as soon as I said the first word that came to my mind.

"Ila?"
