Chapter 3

'Ila was alive?'

I some how fell betrayed. My best friend who I thought as my only family is alive and I had no clue about it.

I didn't notice my surrounding. The only thing that I could see was Ila standing in the corner. Suddenly some one grabbed my face and the next thing I could see was dark amber eyes. I was unable to hear anything.

I was too shocked to do anything.

"Nefertari? Are you ok? Can you hear me?" That when I noticed the man infront of me who just spoke to me.

He has long brown hair with dark amber eyes. I was confused seeing everyone's attire they were weird.

I opened my mouth to ask them what was this all about when Ila stepped forward and kneeled down. "Your majesty, her majesty has just woken up and I think she is confused seeing so many people around her. If you may permit may I talk to her for a while so she can feel better?"

'Your majesty? What is this all about? Why is she speaking in this was? What is going on here!?'

The person infront of me who was reffered as 'your majesty' nodded his head and stood up.

"Leave the queen and the great priestess alone for sometime. And prepare some food for the queen she has not eaten anything for three days she might be hungary," He then turned towards me and gently patting my head said "call me if you need anything and I am really happy that you are awake now?"

I sat there dumfoldedly as everyone left the room except Ila. I looked at her confused and as soon as the door closed after the last person left she said "I know you are confused now but let me explain to you the whole situation first." I nodded letting her talk.

"Ok let me begain form the start. From the begin of this civilization river Nile is prayed as the mother of all living beings. So every year there is a celebration held in her name where the Pharaoh prays for his people's and country's well being. It is a very big festival held for a span of seven days. It is said that the Nile has special power. It grants the Pharaoh what he wishes."

"Last year when he met Nefertari he decided to take her as his queen in the next Nile festival. That year he wished that they both would be connected by their soul. He wished that no matter where ever they are and how far apart they are, when anyone of them calls them through the bound of the sacrate pledge the made at the mother Nile, they will come back to each other. One one could sperate them."

"Three days ago there were some people who tried to kill the Pharaoh but they failed. In this whole process Nefertari was injured as she tried to save the Pharaoh. She was unconscious for three days and now you are back."

I still had many questions in my mind. "So what and why exactly is this happening Ila? "

She gives me a small smile "the Pharaoh had wished Nefertari to come back to him. And you at the same time touched the painting. That's the reason you are here. Your future self was the reincarnation of Nefertari."

That was something difficult to believe. I mean I never thought that the prophecy was true. But then I remember that Ila was lost when she was on an research tour for that painting too.

"So does that means you came here too because you touched the painting? I mean you have my blood in your body. After the accident it was me who gave you blood."

Ila stood there for a second then she sighed and sat down on the bed. "I con not belong to that time Ava. I am the great priestess of this era. I have been granted power by the gods to see the future and I am a mediator of the gods. I went to the future to protect you. I had already seen what was going to happen. And we could not risk the life of the future queen. Ramses is really protective of you and with your death he would have cursed the whole land. We could not risk that, many innocent would have suffered. So I went to the future to protect you and when the time would have came I planned to bring you here. But I had to come back a year earlier due to some problem. And no it was not your blood that brought me here. I have the power to travel in time but it's very limited, like once in every ten years."

Ok I get it now I am partially relived that I am not the reason for her disappearance but I still have a lot to take in. All the information is making my head hurt.

"Ava you are Nefertari now. You will have to become the queen and marry Ramses II in the next Nile festival. I know this would be too much to take in for you but I am here to help you. You will slowly recover the memories of Nefertari and with your knowledge from the future combined you will go through it."

I don't know why but somehow I was ready to blindly trust Ila. So without saying any thing I just nodded my head. I hurts anyways. I was sure that the person with long hair and amber eyes was Ramses.

There was a knock on the door and Ila shouted for the person to come in. It was a girl with a tray of food in her hand. She wore a simple white dress and here hair was braided. She came in put the tray on the table beside the bed, bowed down once and left the room.

"Eat up and rest some more. I will tell you more once you wake up and hopefully you will recover your memory within a week, " with that said Ila took the tray from the table and put it in front of me.

It was the first time I had a proper look around the room. It had really crossed my mind due to all the events going on. It was a lot to take in for me. The room was really big with some sofas scattered in front of the bed, there were four in total, there were case and other items most of them seemed to be made of gold. There was a large pool at one corner of the room and on the other side of the room there were many dresses handing with many more different items. The bed was big and the sheets and pillow were luxurious, may be silk, and the blanket is seemed to be made of fur.

I start eating the food and it is really good. Ila suddenly seemed as she remembered something.

She gave me the sweetest smile I have ever seen on her face. "Oh! Before I forget it the next Nile festival is in a month, that means you have month after that you will have to marry Ramses II and officially become to queen of Egypt."
