●The Worst Alarm Clock●

*KRINGGGG*

Nobara wakes up to the sound of her horrible alarm clock.

She pushes ‘off’ very aggressively--the sounds of her alarm are the worst thing in the world.

It is that blaring, echoing sound that will be stuck in your head for the next 30 minutes kind of alarm.

Nobara rolls over in her bed.

She groans into her pillow.

Kugisaki

F*ck it.

Nobara thankfully don't have any mission to exorcise any curse today, but she still has to get up.

She reaches for her phone and scrolls and checks on social media for 10 minutes.

She knows it’s bad for to look at the phone the second you wake up, but she still does it.

Who are they to dictate her what to do anyway?

After finally deciding to get out of what she calls her mountain of comfort, she heads to the dorm kitchen.

She sees that someone (probably Itadori, he's a good cook) made breakfast.

Nobara grabs a plate of pancake.

She then pours herself some lemonade, because lemonade for breakfast is one of the best things in the world.

(That was only applicable to her.)

Whilst scrolling on her phone (again), Nobara gets a message.

Maki

Hey! Do you want to go on a picnic with me??

Nobara is ready at any moment to get on her knee and marry this woman.

Will Maki probably regret her (considering they aren’t even dating), yes she will?

Will Nobara ask anyways?

Of course. Absolutely. Definitely.

Holding back her emotions, she types,

Kugisaki

Yes! I am free all day today :)

Maki

How about 12pm?

Maki

So we can pick up lunch.

Kugisaki

Sounds great!!!

It sounds more than great to Nobara.

IT SOUNDS F*CKING AMAZING!

Nobara thanks the Gods for this.

(She doesn't believe in any God.)

She finishes her breakfast quickly and starts trying to decide which outfit to wear.

She ended up on a white t-shirt, layered a patterned dress, a plain tot bag, and her favorite pair of mary janes.

Nobara calls Itadori and Megumi 5 times, asking them,

Is this the best first ‘date’ outfit?

Or maybe this?

Megumi finally tells her the 5th time she calls,

Kugisaki, it looks perfect.

Fushiguro

If you don’t like it THEN DON'T WEAR IT!!

Fushiguro

I AM TRYING TO SPEND THE WHOLE DAY WITH MY BOYFRIEND.

Fushiguro

So please go out and get yourself a girlfriend!

Nobara understood what Megumi was saying so she finally lets them enjoy their day.

She second-guessed her outfit for the final time.

Then she looks in the mirror, content with her look, and she starts heading out.

She wanted to ask her friends one more time, but she was afraid Megumi would use his shikigami to push her away.

Nobara finally met Maki at the local park.

She saw that Maki had set up a full Pinterest/Instagram-worthy picnic.

It was beautiful.

Nobara walks over and Maki says,

Maki

I hope it’s not too much.

She burrows her hands against her face.

Kugisaki

No no no, it’s perfect! Even better than perfect!

Nobara sits down, and Maki pulls out a couple of sandwiches from the picnic basket.

The two girls ate their sandwiches in comfortable silence.

Maki

Is it good?

Maki

I made them myself.

Yet another blessing from the Gods, Kugisaki thought.

Kugisaki

This sandwiches are the best thing I have ever eaten!

'Sorry Itadori, the meatballs are really good but you're no match to Maki-senpai.'

Maki

I have dessert if you want to eat that now.

Maki says, taking the last bite of her sandwich.

Maki

Or we could just rest.

Nobara looks up from her sandwich, which only has a few bites left.

Kugisaki

Whatever you want is okay.

She cheerfully responds.

Maki giggles, which causes Nobara to panic.

'Do I have something on my face?'

'Did I do something wrong?'

'MY F*CKING GOD, THAT WAS THE WORLD'S MOST BEAUTIFUL LAUGH.'

Maki reaches over and brushes a thumb, wiping something off Kugisaki's face.

Nobara goes into intense gay panic.

'AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! She touched my faceeeeeeeeeeee!'

Maki

I am so sorry I should have asked you first--

Maki starts apologizing waving her hands around.

Kugisaki

NO, YOU’RE FINE---I MEAN IT'S FINE, I WAS JUST SURPRISED.

Nobara starts explaining, also waving around her hands.

Both of the girls saw how ridiculous they must've looked and started laughing.

Their laughs in sync and smiles big.

Nobara’s heart does backflips.

Her gay panic and love are through the roof.

She thinks she might pass out any second now.

(She really might, someone please help her.)

Maki looks at Nobara who's smiling.

She stares at the brunette and slowly leans in.

Her breath feels warm against Nobara’s face.

Maki

Kugisaki.

Maki says softly,

Maki

Can I kiss you?

Nobara nods and Maki unites their lips together.

All the fireworks and joy start exploding in Nobara’s brain.

'OH MY F*CKING GOD MAKI-SAN IS KISSING ME!!!'

Nobara kisses back.

Maki’s lips are soft and taste like the strawberry chapstick.

Nobara closes her eyes and enjoys the delight of the moment.

Maki slowly pulls away and Nobara opens her eyes.

It finally hits her as well as Maki a few seconds later and now both of them are blushing aggressively.

The girls looks at each other again and smiles.

Maki

You want to eat dessert now?

Kugisaki

That would be great.

A delightfully smiling Nobara responds as Maki reaches into the basket again.

Maki pulls out sliced watermelon and Nobara’s face lights up with utter joy.

‘I am DEFINITELY going to marry this woman!’ Nobara declares to herself.

Maki can see the joy on the brunette's face, making her smile too.

Maki gives Nobara a piece, almost feeding it to her.

And Nobara makes a sound of pleasure.

They continue their date as if has officially been called.

As the sun sets, the sky fades from its soft blue hue to orange and pink, and Maki gazes at Nobara.

Nobara has orange eyes, long eyelashes, and eyebrows of the same color.

'Beautiful.', Maki thinks to herself.

Maki

O-Oi Nobara, would you like to be my girlfriend.

Nervously asks (no, she stated it, it wasn't a question) Maki, she twirls a piece of her hair around her finger.

Nobara’s brain malfunctions for a moment--shut down then powers back on to process what just happened.

'Maki-san. Asked. Me. To. Be. Her. Girlfriend…'

Nobara’s head starts screaming soon after.

Nobara must have had some sort of look on her face because then Maki says,

Maki

I’m sorry, I was too early. I didn’t mean to make you freak out--

They are cut off by Nobara’s voice finally says,

Kugisaki

Maki-sanIaminlovewithyouandhavebeenformonthsandIwillgladlyacceptyourofferinbeingyourgirlfriend.

It all came out as one giant word which made both of them fall and start laughing.

Once their laughing was over, Maki swiftly rolls on her side, looking at Nobara, and softly says,

Maki

So you want to date me?

Kugisaki

Yes! I want to-----

*KRINGGGG*
