“What?” Vivi looks shocked, her eyes popped up wide, can’t believe what I just said.
“Amazing right? should I change my profession into a detective?” I mumbled.
“But…” Vivi moaned, suddenly frowned in desperation.
“What?? What’s wrong with the words Detective?”
“Ana” she held my hands and look at me deeply at the eyes.
“I am so sorry” she said. “For what?” I don’t get it.
“I thought everything was an accident, but it turns out different” she bit her lower lip, her face turns pale, she looks like either shocked or almost fainted. “What did they say after the accident?”
“They told me you hit your car yourself, they even gave me the evidence”
My eyes widened, this is new to me. “What evidence?”
“Ana, they gave me a clip they caught from the CCTV” she stated, “Wait, gonna show you the clip, I haven’t delete it from my cloud”
I wait patiently, gulp a glass of water to get ready with the new things in my head. Vivi rummage her handbag, type something on her phone then she hands it over to me “This is the clip” she said.
How could they fake my accident? I can’t believe someone did this to me, I don’t remember have an enemy. This seems real but I pretty sure they use the same CCTV from the minimarket. But why that dude told me nobody was there after the accident?
“But Angga told me no police was there after the accident”
“Angga who?”
“I mean the worker at this mini market” I added, “But looks like they cut the clip” I mumbled.
“Can you show me where Angga things and the CCTV stuff?”
“Sure, but please explain to me. Who hand you over the CCTV clip?”
“The police?”
“Detective Rumaja?”
Vivi nods her head.
“Eh, how can I be so stupid” I slapped my head once.
“What?”
“I have the clips here!” I took a flashdisk from my bag.
“Damn you!” she yelled.
After lunch delivered into my apartment, we had a lunch once before we start investigating the accident. Someone is making up the accident, the only clue is Hugo Adiputera. This dude has to be punished. I wish I could turn back the time and let my mom stay the night, this accident won’t happen.
My memory hasn’t recovered completely. I still have no idea how could I ended up amnesia, but what Jeremy said was right, it doesn’t make any sense. My amnesia isn’t an amnesia. If you know what I mean.
After we played the clip several times, Vivi got a call from her office.
“I need to go now. Please, spare something for me later” she means the investigation. So now we know, Vivi actually knows nothing about my accident, she accepts the truth they made themselves. If I got enough prove to sue Hugo, surely I will never forgive that man.
“Hugo Adiputera” I typed from google.
His profile appeared from Facebook, Twitter, then Instagram. Last but no least, LinkedIn. Waow, he is a social media person too. I clicked his Facebook, since Facebook has his complete biodata, like his address, where he lived, his college, alumni, else.
Hugo Adiputera. Graduated from Harvard? Amazing! CEO of Garnad? Palm Trees? Waow he is god damn rich. There’s no way for a CEO like him to harm someone like me, but there must be a relation.

He didn’t pick up my phone, what the hell?
I dialed his number one more time, feel like about to slam my own phone on the passenger seat.
“Halo?”
Like finally he picks up.
“What happen, Ana?”
“Jason, I know this is too random. But we need to talk”
"Ana? What happened?!" he was so shocked when I made my decision. Jason insists to talk about it on the phone, "Alana-" but I hung up. I want to meet him in person. Soon.
We finally set a meeting at a restaurant, his treats so I don’t really care about how expensive the dinner is. I told him there’s no way for him to bring Julia, or I will slap her face until she passed out cause I am not in my mood recently, and I don’t care being jailed right now.
“So.. anything good, Ana?” he tries to act normal, like I’m just a reunion friend to him. I slammed the table once, making the other customers take glances of us. I didn’t purposely do that honestly. Jason eyes widened, he’s startling and about to speak, but I cut his sht off
“Who is Hugo Adiputera?”
“Mr…..Adi?” he stammered. I knew it! he has a thing with that man!
“You..” I pointed him, I have no idea how can I became so emotional.
“Ana, calm down..” he whispered. “Mr.Adi is my partner, the investor..”
This is so frustrating.
“So?”
“So I don’t really know him, he is my father’s friend”
“He made friends with your father?”
He clicked his tongue as he spoke “Yes.. What happen to you?”
Jason still looks confused and speechless about how I suddenly become so emotional against him. Now, it makes no sense.. Can I talk to Jason about them faking my accident? No, it’s best for him to know nothing about it.
I leaned my body on the seat, clearing my throat “Sorry..” I said.
“You make me confuse, Ana. What happened to you?” he frowned.
“Then, what happen to my amnesia?” Jason’s face turns pale. This is not a shocking pale or anything like he’s innocent. I’ve dated this guy for 6 years, I can read his mind through his expression.
“Tell me everything Jason. Or you are the guy that involved in my accident?” I threatened him. “I don’t want to hurt you, Jason. But I deserve the truth” I added. “Ana.. please” he held my hand, trying to calm me but I am no more the stupid Alana he knows, I am not the soft Ana anymore. I pulled my hand away “Just tell me everything you know” I'm not mad anymore, I just have resting btch face.
“Okay” he frowned, then look up to my eyes.
“You are not amnesia”
“Continue your bedtime story” I demand.
I was in Gianyar hospital during my coma, the doctor is Jason’s friend. Once I woke up and forget only Andrea, Vivi brought me to Hilton’s Clinic, Jeremy is the one that check up on me and willing to help me to recover my memories if I do some treatment, but it became worst. I cried a lot, stressed and didn’t want to eat or drink at all. Jeremy insists that he could help me but Vivi refused, she can’t stand of me being stressed.
I opened my eyes slowly, everything is blur, I saw a checkered painted wall in front of me, it’s Jeremy’s clinic “Are you okay?” a sobbing woman’s voice echoing in the room, she has a long black hair and running towards me, shaking my shoulders.. “Ana !” she yelled, “Ana ! please !”.
“Ana ….” That woman’s voice is Vivi.
“Please wake up” she sobs hard, hugging me real tight, then I don’t remember anything because I passed out.
“Andre!” Vivi yelled, stood up leaving me laying on the floor. “THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!” slapped him hard. Andrea didn’t say a thing, he knows this is his fault.
Vivi then walking towards Jason, “Now, what are we going to do? SHE’S SHOCKED! TOO SHOCKED!”
“I know a doctor that might help” Jason stated, then he took off his vest and hold me up. Bring me to his car, with Vivi and Andrea.
“Now you know what caused her accident” Jason said, in the middle of the way.
“I’m sorry! Okay?” Andrea yelled, even though he is in the same worry as the others do. “If I know it before she had this accident. I might beat you to death” Jason continued. “Stop it okay?” Vivi moaned. “Ana is stressed! We have to bring her to the other doctor! Like what Jason said”.
“But Vivi, Jeremy said there’s a way” ceased Andrea
“Stop Andre! Jeremy can’t” yelled Vivi.
Andrea blew a harsh breath, silence is the best than being kicked out in the middle of the way.
They move me to Beverly hospital, where Dr.Kim records is in my apartment, hasn’t return it back yet.
“I am so sorry, Ana. But I got no choice”
“You?”
“Yes, it’s my decision. I lied to everyone about your amnesia. You were actually treated with some kind of hypnotics, but not Dr.Kim. To forget Andrea and your past accidents” he sighed. Bah! He finally agrees to talk about it.
“How could you..” I stood up, I want to slap him hard. Right now, he acted like so in love with me, but he has already betrayed me, cheated on me with Julia. “I am so sorry, Ana.. please sit down” he held my hands, eyes in tears but not crying. I still want to hear more, I sit down.
“I am sorry for betraying you.. but … I am actually so disappointed by you.. when I first discovered you and Andrea were getting back together”
My memory with Andrea wasn’t his fault, I do amnesia about Andrea, which is weird but it happened, like what Jeremy told me earlier. But it makes no sense when Jason treats me like he loves me this much, but when we get
married, he cheated on me.
“But you make me forget and I ended up marrying you, *sshole”
“I am so sorry, Ana. This feelings is unpredictable”
“YOU DARE TALKING ABOUT UNPREDICTABLE STUFFS??” I raised my voice, everyone’s eyes are on us, but I don’t really care about it.
“I am so sorry, Ana. Please forgive me. I mean.. yes..” he exhales a harsh breath, “I made you like this, you deserve the truth, I’ve told you everything I know, right?”
“Do you know something Jason?” I stood up, but before I go I have to make him curious to death.
“My accident, wasn’t an accident. I gave you enough clue, once I figured it out myself, you’ll know” leave him behind.
Cih, saying about how much he loved me. It makes no sense, I did cheating behind him, but he cheat me back once I forgot everything about Andrea. Now, I need to talk to both of them.
“Halo?”
“Andrea, are you busy right now?”
“Nope, wanna meet?”
“Sure, please come to my apartment. I am tired hanging out” I strictly speaking from the phone.
“O…ok.okay” he stammered, surely I will not eat him alive if he didn’t lie to me.
My amnesia stuffs has finally revealed.
“Halo Vivi?”
“Yes”
“Busy?”
“Unluckily no, going home now”
“Spare your time to meet me in my apartment. We need to talk”
“Sounds serious, but okay”
Anger boiled in me, I will find more clues to sue that fcking Hugo Adiputera. But before it happens, I have to figure out myself about my amnesia. And what do they mean “DON’T DO ANYTHING STUPID” once I talked about
my past.
Both of them looked down, like guilty students in front of the principal. I have no idea what are they thinking about but…
“I know nothing about the treatment. And yes I did leave you alone with that fcking CEO with you, every day” Vivi raised her voice, she sounds kinda pissed once I talk about the treatment. “How stupid I believe him that much” she added.
Andrea shrugged “You know? I am the guilty person, so I stopped seeing you since Jason stayed there everyday with you”
I rubbed my forehead, “You guys are so pathetic”
“We are sorry” they both spoke.
“Damn, that Jason. I am gonna kill him! He promised me to keep it just secret between me and him and also Andrea!” Vivi slammed the table.
“But what do you guys mean by “DON’T DO ANYTHING STUPID STUFF” in the other day?” since that makes me curious to death.
“Oh” they both answered.
Andrea and Vivi about to speak together but then Andrea shuts himself and let Vivi explain.
Vivi cleared her throat, “Your f*cking ex –husband told me to keep this sh*t from you or you’ll remember but painful. Something like that” she shrugged.
Andrea nods his head, agree with Vivi.
“Now it makes sense” I mumble.
“Once you and this dude met coincidentally” Vivi pointed Andrea “I am so speechless, but I told Andrea to shut his *ss off from speaking about the past. You know right? You guys ever date like long long time ago. I can’t stop you, Ana.. from falling in love with this dude again. I just have to make sure Andrea stays by your side and keeps you safe”.
Vivi always very sweet to me.
