Episode 5 GOODBYE

Chapter 5:  Goodbye

Grace POV:

It was almost time to leave for Sonariya, Mother was helping in packing my stuff

with few maids. I can see tears in her eyes but she was acting strong. She

asked me change into something more comfortable during the travel, I agreed.

Mother said, “You should take Lilly with you. I can’t send you all alone.”

Lilly was my only friend and my personal maid since I was young. Her father

passed away when she was young and her mother use to work in palace and she use

to come with her mother. Since then we become friends and because I didn’t have

any sister I consider her as my sister.  So I replied to mother, “No Mother I can’t take her with me. I can’t

drag her in my mess.” Lilly said from behind me, “Princess I will go with you.

I have spent all my life with you and I am even ready to die for you. It would

my please and duty to go with you. You are my only friend in this world I can’t

stay without you. And you stayed with me when my mother passed away and

supported me back them I can’t just leave you like this.”

I said to Lilly, “Lilly, didn’t you saw what he is capable of doing? What if he

kills you? I can’t lose you, please understand.”

“Sorry princess but I just can’t run away when you will be alone. This is not only my

duty as maid but my right as your friend. Please Princess take me with you I

beg you.., please” she said as tear started to fall from her eyes. I just

hugged her and started to sob.

Mother said, “So Lilly is going with you and Lilly please take care of Grace, I will

be thankful to you all my life.”

Lilly just bowed and said, “My Lady, please don’t say that. It’s my duty.”

A maid came to us and inform us that the carriage is ready and they are waiting

for us and we all hurried out.

At the front of the palace gate I could see the horses and men ready to leave.

Some men’s were carrying flags of Sonariya. They greeted me and showed me way

to my carriage but I wanted to meet my father and brothers. I saw my father and

brothers coming, I rushed towards them and hug them for the last time. My

brothers were sad I could see it in their eyes but they asked me to take care

and so did my father. Then I hugged my mother again and a sob escaped from my

mouth I buried my face even more.

Suddenly I heard my family greeting someone  I

knew it was him and I refuse to turn back. I was scared.

My father said, “My King, I have a request. This is personal maid of my daughter I

want her to go with my daughter. Please consider my request.”

Sam replied, “She can come but if I found any game in it I will make sure that she

will remember her death till her next life.” Lilly just bowed in fear.

Then Ray said, “Your majesty, Can I come too? I promise I would be loyal to you.”

Sam replied rudely, “I don’t need you just now so stay here. Don’t act smart.” Ray

just looked down.

I was so angry that I just wanted to slap him in his face.

Then Sam stepped close to us and I just looked down. Then he said to my father, “I

am making you in charge of this kingdom so work under me. If you and your sons

did anything against me then remember your daughter will pay for it. I promise

I won’t spare any one. Remember this.” And my father just nod and my brother

looked down.

Then I sat in the carriage after saying my last goodbye to my family. I am going

miss the terribly. And soon this journey started, the longest journey of my

life. The journey I hate the most.

As we were moving towards our destination I became more and more scared. I was

alone in my carriage while Lilly and other maids were behind my carriage. Sam

and few people were leading the way. Honestly I was so happy that he was not in

the carriage with me. I don’t even want to see him anymore. I looked at my hand

saw my wedding ring, today I got married to that monster. Till yesterday

morning everything was normal, my father and mother were doing their duties as

parent and King-Queen of the kingdom; my brothers were busy in teasing each

other and having sibling fight. But all of a sudden everything destroyed

because of him and I was also responsible for this mess in their life. May be

this is my last day in Southern hills, my tears said my last goodbye to

southern hills.
