The Peculiar One: Chapter V

Reighll disrespectfully disobeyed the King and didn’t meet him. And she didn’t know if she was going to regret it. Her disobedience just led her to Dryne’s annoying rebuke.

She rolled her eyes as Dryne kept on firing words at her, words that she never listened to.

“Don’t roll your eyes at me like that, Arissa!”

That was it! She had enough of all of this already! Reighll stood up and spun around to walk to her room, ignoring Dryne’s yelling for her name. What the **** was that man’s problem? He was in no place to tell her what she had to do! He was just like that goddamned woman!

She was lying on her soft and bouncy bed when she heard a knock on the door. She heard Streizer’s voice asking for permission to enter the room.

“Door’s not locked,” she responded.

Streizer opened the door and went in. He looked around her dark room. “You need something, Streizer?” Reighll asked. Streizer licked his lower lip and walked closer to her. “May I?” He asked for permission, gesturing at her bed. Reighll looked away before nodding. When her bed moved, she knew that Streizer sat beside her. She also sat.

“Don’t misunderstand me for this, Reighll, alright?” Reighll didn’t do anything but look blankly at him. “But you know what, Reighll, Dryne is right. You shouldn’t have disobeyed the king.” Reighll raised an eyebrow, “And why is that?”

“He’s our king, Reighll. Your king.”

“He is your king, but he’s not my king. Besides, why should I go there for no reason?” Reighll, once again, laid her back on her bed.

“You’re not going there for no reason, Reighll. You’re going there because the king called for you. You’re going there because you’re going to be an obedient student, an obedient citizen of our kingdom.” Reighll bluntly eyed him, “We both know I’m not from here, Streizer! Thank you so much for reminding me that I don’t really belong here.” She rolled her eyes in the middle of her sarcastic statement.

She was startled when Streizer suddenly moved and put both of his hands beside her head, looking straight at her widening eyes. “Don’t say that! You… you belong here, Reighll. There is no other place you belong to, just… just here.” He whispered with his husky voice. Reighll didn’t know what to do! Her mind couldn’t process anything at the moment! Her heart was beating fast like hell, and she didn’t know why! Damn, his face is too damn close!

It was silent for a few moment, until Reighll spoke, “M-move.” She stuttered. Their position was very uncomfortable for her! Her breathing was so unsteady.

Streizer sighed, “Alright,” She felt his breath on her face, and damn it made her blush more! She was thankful she didn’t bother opening the lights of her room, it was because of that that the man in front of her won’t be able to see her red face.

Streizer move, attempting to stand up but he lost his balance! Reighll didn’t know, but her body moved by itself, she grabbed his hand. But he was too heavy for her that she was only dragged with him.
